  • "The property was very clean and cosy ."

Lovely location . We did not realise that we had to go through one bedroom to get to the other. The absence of no information and instructions for the use of the appliances made things more difficult. We had trouble with the tv although ringing sykes they never came back to us. I would add that the shower door is hanging off and could be a problem for future visitors . But overall it was a lovely holiday and would go to that cottage again.

  • "The beds are terrible, they could do with a little upgrade as it’s like sleeping on slats."

The shower door in the back room needs fixing, it’s only loosely hanging on by the top rollers and quite dangers especially with little kids around which we had. The water temperature in the main bathroom runs hot, this was too hot for the kids. Other than that we had a great at the house

Thank you for your feedback, sorry that you found theses issues with the house. The shower door has now been fixed and the shower in the main bathroom has also been fixed. I will be replacing the matresses on the beds this year. Thank you Property Owner

  • "The property itself was good, and useable but with a number of caveats which may or may not affect your confidence in booking it."

The twin bedded bedroom can only be accessed by passing through the double bedroom with implications for privacy in the double bedroom and requires users of the twin bedded bedroom to access the lounge and kitchen via the outside of the property if they are needing to avoid disturbing the occupants of the double bedroom. There was a complete absence of joining instructions other than the keycode combination and inaccurate keysafe instructions in the lid of the keysafe. In the absence of such instructions I had problems operating the keysafe to access the property, a day without hot water pending the owner providing instructions as to how this should be turned on and problems finding the name and password for the wifi as the owner had not provided these or given instructions on which of the various electronic boxes was the router or its location. This meant that I had a day of hassle whilst I contacted Sykes and the owner to get these issues resolved.

Sorry that you had these issues on your first day, once I was informed I acted promptly to respond. I will ask Sykes to add the layout of the bedrooms to the website so this isn't a surprise for any future guests. I have also added the Wi-fi code to the joining instructions. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "A lovely bungalow in an ideal position near the beach."

Lovely furnishings and very clean. The pool table kept the boys occupied on a rainy day.

  • "Very nice bungalow within a little beach community."

Comfortable, well resourced and clean - a home from home. Ideal in the summer, but if renting in the colder weather it can become quite cold and blustery. One minor issue was with the bathroom shower being out of order on arrival, though there was another working shower in one of the bedrooms. We had problems with the TV in that we could only get it to work on one channel? Perhaps we weren't doing something right with the TV? Lovely, friendly local fish & chip bar on the corner and the property was well situated for getting to Chichester and Arundel.

Many thanks for your feedback, this is very much appreciated. The shower is now fixed and the TV aerial has been changed, a lot of people use their Netflix account. I'm glad you enjoyed your break and hope you return. Debbie Property Owner
