"We had a very enjoyable stay in Chianti."
The property was spacious, well equipped and beds very comfortable. We would stay there again on our next trip to the Island.
-
"Just got home after a lovely week stay in Chianti, The accommodation was excellent, very quiet and peaceful, Everything you need is included and the WiFi speed is amazing, We will definitely be back next year for another stay."
-
"The lodge had everything we needed during our stay."
We ate once at the pub on site and the food was nice and service good. The site is in walking distance of Seaview and Ryde seafronts and a short drive to shops, a supermarket and all of the east coast beaches. All four of us enjoyed the spotless hot tub.The bedrooms did get very hot at night but fans were provided and we skilfully avoided the hot weather!

"Everything was perfect for me & my wife, great location, great for walking or just relaxing hot tub was great."
Only thing we would change is the bedding was over fragranced, made me cough for most of the night especially with me having asthma. Neighbour said the same thing with there bedding very strong odour. Also getting the key code for keypad a phone number and contact name mel . Went straight to answerphone, left message, ended up phoning head office & got code at 4.35 should have been in at 4pm needs better way of getting code. Would stay again if things are sorted out.

"Fantastic accommodation in a lovely setting with all the amenities required for a great holiday."
Very clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. Spacious living area, comfortable bedrooms and good en-suite. Great to have both front and back seating areas. Hot tub was wonderful and very clean. Well thought out parking with no problems. Excellent attention to maintenance and the whole environment was immaculate. Definitely at the top of our list for return visits. Thank you to Mel and team for your great service and attention.

"The property was immaculate."
Everything was as described in the details we were sent. Careful consideration had clearly been given to the quality of the accommodation and the maintenance of the site. A simple comments: The address information should include the words: The Vineyard Luxury Holiday Lodges, then Lodge Gardens, as was the accommodation we had. There was no indication of this address from the roadside. There is a sign set back behind the Isle of Wight Distillery (which is clearly marked on the road, very helpful to have this as a marker). It is also at the rear of the pub, The Wishing Well - excellent restaurant and staff - which is another helpful marker. Something else useful would be a coat stand to the side of the entrance door to hang coats etc on as you enter the property. There is also a bus stop right outside the The Vineyard which has an excellent service into Ryde for change of service around the island if you want a day not using your car. Altogether a great stay!

"After reading some other reviews I agree that; yes the bathroom sinks are small, yes there is no hanging space for longer items (eg dresses) and yes there was a weed growing out of the drain."
But this is a holiday home, not your own home and for a week's stay for 2 generations ranging from 63 to 91 it was perfect. Lovely and clean and the hot tub after the end of a day sightseeing was superb. We had a problem with a broken toilet seat on arrival which was replaced the same day. All in all a lovely stay and we are booking again for next year.

"Other than the shower in the twin bedroom being cold and the floors not being swept up properly"
-
"A lovely welcoming place to stay ."
Clean comfortable with a very good hot tub . Good location to visit any part of the island .
-
"Great location and very comfortable."
Well maintained with most things we needed but lacked a few basics e.g. no teapot or hair dryer and limited kitchen utensils. Great shower and hottub but the small sinks were a bit of a pain. Overall very good but a few extra things would have helped.
-
"Excellent service from Mel, John and their team."
The eco lodge was as exactly as set out in the property description; attention to detail was impressive although some further thought to additional cutlery and crockery would be helpful together with the provision of an hairdryer. The location was quiet and as it was 'adults only' and 'pet free' an ideal location to relax and unwind.
-
"The property was lovely but we did find it a bit cramped for 4 adults staying for a full week."
It wasn't a problem due to having glorious weather so we could spread out outside. Limited supplies of crockery and cutlery meant we didn't make full use of the dishwasher, needing to rinse out our mugs etc during the day. The showers were excellent, though and the whole place spotless. Would definitely visit again.

"The Chianti lodge was just right and we enjoyed our stay."
The location was perfect and being within walking distance of the Mermaid Inn was a bonus. We would certainly stay there again and the close proximity of a Tesco Extra store was vey useful for getting provisions etc. The only suggestion is that a better signage to the site would be useful on the adjacent main road as we missed it the first time.

"Access is through the pub car park."
We would have found the property more easily if you had told us that.
-
"Everything was very nice, we did find the Bedroom doors a bit of a struggle I realise there fire doors but very difficult to open!"
-
"Lovely stay at Chianti to celebrate my husband's (semi) retirement."
The lodge was perfect - so comfortable and homely but in a compact space. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed it despite the very changeable weather. The Vineyard is so peaceful, even though there is a road behind, but it's also well located for seeing the rest of the island. We'd recommend walking up to the IoW distillery to sample the gin and have a bite to eat. We also loved the snippet of history about the site which was framed on the wall of the lodge. I have very fond memories of staying in chalets just like those on holidays with my family as a child. We would love to return.

"Absolutely amazing stay."
Wanted a relaxing, easy holiday after a stressful few weeks at work. Arriving at The Vineyard was easy, Mel was easily contactable the morning of our stay regarding key collection and we were able to check in early which was amazing. The lodge was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable and cosy. Had all the kitchen amenities we needed throughout the week. The lodge was so comfortable and cosy with so much space to relax. Hot tub was easy to use and a lovely addition to the lodge. Beds were so comfortable as well. Perfect place to explore the island from. We had the most amazing stay and it was so relaxing, we will definitely be back. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, cosy break with loved ones.

"Lovely property, well appointed."
-
"Enjoyed our stay."
A few suggestions; provision of a hair dryer would be welcomed, the audio of the main TV in the lounge area was very poor, the night lights in the bedrooms are too bright.
-
"Excellent property in perfect location central to all areas."
Loved the fact no dogs or children as so peaceful and quiet and after a day out and about you had the hot tub to chill and relax in and sit on the decking soaking up the peaceful views. Everything you needed was in the property to making a perfect holiday. Very clean and excellent fittings (loved the curtains)

About the location
SEAVIEW
Ryde 2.6 miles.
Seaview is a small Edwardian seaside village on the north eastern shores of the Isle of Wight, only a 15 minute drive from the superb transport links of Ryde. Seaview is one of the South of England’s most famous holiday destinations, with a reputation of being an upmarket resort. This lovely seaside resort has stunning views out across the Solent, gorgeous golden sandy beaches, a sailing club, boutique shops and many popular restaurants and pubs, such as The Seaview Hotel and The Old Fort. On the coastal footpath towards Ryde just off Springvale is Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, now with tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area set within its pretty gardens. In the summer, locals and tourists take part in the famous Seaview Regatta, competing in many traditional activities, with races on the beach at Seagrove Bay, rowing in the village’s own unique boats, tug of war, the greasy pole and diving, all concluded at the end of the week with a magnificent firework display. As well as being a coastal village the nearby countryside at Seaview’s Duver is a nature reserve, with frequent visits from the beautiful red squirrel, as well as having an incredible array of bird life. A wonderful Isle of Wight base.
