"This was our second time at this location."
Has everything you need and good location. The bedding was a bit bobbly but otherwise clean and tidy. Hot tub was a real bonus.
-
"The lodge was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities."
A very lovely lodge in nice surroundings. The Mermaid Gin distillery and pub on the door step with good food and drink. Can’t wait to come back. I would highly recommend this place. Mrs T Mitchell.

"Our lodge at 'The Vineyard' lived up to expectation."
'Claret' was very comfortable, well equipped & provided an excellent base for us to explore the IOW. The welcome groceries (milk, bottled water, tea/coffee biscuits & cruet)were appreciated. The hot tub was an excellent facility to relax in at the end of tge day & the convenience of having the Mermaid Bar on our doorstep was an added bonus. Mel & Jon were efficient & welcoming & provide an excellent customer service.

"We were delighted with our stay at the property."
We found the lodge to be very comfortable and it was really clean and tidy and very convenient for travelling about the island. The outlook from our lodge was delightful and very scenic. One downside were the very tiny sinks in the bathrooms which made it impossible to wash comfortably. We also had a small problem with the refrigerator in the kitchen due to it not being cleaned from the previous occupants as there was rancid milk in the salad drawer and sitting on the bottom shelf. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to fill our week with visiting plenty of interesting places. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Although we have stayed at this location before hence we rebooked we were disappointed that the garden furniture was covered in bird droppings and cobwebs so obviously not cleaned in ages so couldn’t use it had to buy chairs to sit outside also we couldn’t use the hot-tub on the first day as wasn’t hot found getting key code etc on arrival we had to do all the messaging and chasing to get in not helpful at all then maintenance came round mid week with no warning as we were napping and started do stuff when we were lying there totally unacceptable

"The basins in the bathrooms are ridiculous- extremely poor choice/design by the developer."
It is impossible to wash or brush teeth in them without messing over the floor. The double bed mattress was quite soft. The emergency exit LED in the bedroom is too bright at night. The outside bedroom door has no window, and, what with the self-closing inside bedroom door, there is no fresh air in the bedroom. The outside furniture had not been cleared of cobwebs for our arrival. Apart from the above criticisms, the dining and lounge furniture is good, and the kitchen facilities are very good.

"Lovely stay beautiful location."
On arriving we were pleased with the accommodation. Had the cleanliness been to a higher standard and a hoover provided the place would have been virtually un-faultable. Above that we had a lovely week and the hot tub was great after a day exploring the Isle of Wight.

"We had a lovely stay here and in many ways feel that it deserved a 4 star rating but for a few relatively small niggles."
... 1. The road was very close and quite noisy/busy. 2. The fire doors, though necessary, need looking at as they are hard to open and shut very forcibly/quickly. 3. The outside furniture is rather rusty (perhaps should have covers). 4. Outside sweeping brush would be useful to clear leaves etc.

Over all very comfortable and well equipped my only complaint would be that the twin beds were to small and to firm they needed replacing or toppings put on them they would be fine for children but not for adults

"PRO'S: Claret Lodge was beautiful and perfect for a small group."
It was very clean inside and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was excellent and the combi boiler meant we always had hot water on demand. The TV had a good signal and internet signal was strong too. Overall the lodge itself lived up to expectation and we were happy with our stay. CONS: - there is a very noisy road at the back of the lodges which starts to get busy by 6am and as the bedrooms face this road as well as the hot tub, it wasnt as peaceful as we had hoped and we did not get to sleep in past 6am due to the traffic noise. - the sofa is very small and uncomfortable unfortunately. An L shaped sofa or recliners would have been better in this lodge to maximise comfort. - it would have been nice to have a larger fridge freezer. As this is self catering accommodation and with only 2 shelves and an icebox it meant we had to go to food shop everyday. There is a grey sideboard by the dining table which doesnt really serve a purpose and a 50/50 full size fridge freezer would fit there nicely.

"Fantastic weeks holiday at the Vineyard eco lodges."
Brand new for 2022 and perfect for a group of 4 adults. Immaculate throughout and furnished to a very high standard with everything needed for self catering. Lovely welcome pack with essential items waiting on arrival. Hot tubs excellent. Every member of the team we met was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Great location with views across the vineyard, a 15 minute walk down to the beach and a nice location for exploring the island by car. Ryde and Seaview a walkable distance along the waterfront with cafes and pubs along the way.

About the location
SEAVIEW
Ryde 2.6 miles.
Seaview is a small Edwardian seaside village on the north eastern shores of the Isle of Wight, only a 15 minute drive from the superb transport links of Ryde. Seaview is one of the South of England’s most famous holiday destinations, with a reputation of being an upmarket resort. This lovely seaside resort has stunning views out across the Solent, gorgeous golden sandy beaches, a sailing club, boutique shops and many popular restaurants and pubs, such as The Seaview Hotel and The Old Fort. On the coastal footpath towards Ryde just off Springvale is Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, now with tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area set within its pretty gardens. In the summer, locals and tourists take part in the famous Seaview Regatta, competing in many traditional activities, with races on the beach at Seagrove Bay, rowing in the village’s own unique boats, tug of war, the greasy pole and diving, all concluded at the end of the week with a magnificent firework display. As well as being a coastal village the nearby countryside at Seaview’s Duver is a nature reserve, with frequent visits from the beautiful red squirrel, as well as having an incredible array of bird life. A wonderful Isle of Wight base.
