"Really comfortable, and warm."

"We can unreservedly recommend this beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortably converted barn as a holiday home."
It has everything you might need, and we were unhindered by a week of mixed weather. It's ideally placed if you wish to spend a day or two exploring historic Winchester, surrounding towns and villages, or wider across the South Downs national park and coast or the New Forest. For local lunching or dining out we can particularly recommend The Flower Pot Inn which brews its own fine ales, The Old Vine in Winchester, and The Horse & Groom or The Cricketers at Alresford.

"Barley cottage was everything advertised."
Very clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring the South Downs and the South coast and thoughtfully equipped with all that was needed for a restful stay.

"Great property in a nice quiet rural location (noisy peacocks aside)."
A very enjoyable stay. Facilities in the house are very good and I highly recommended the property. The only change I’d recommend is the pillows, they were so soft they may as well not have been there which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. But a minor issue. Overall a very nice property. Many thanks.

"Loved everything about this delightful cottage."
It was spotlessly clean, the bed linen was beautifully laundered, the kitchen was very well equipped. It was warm, comfortable and blissfully quiet . I would thoroughly recommend Barley Cottage and hope to return soon

"Lovely cottage set in peaceful countryside."
Lots of secure space for our dog. The cottage has everything you need. It’s a real home from home with comfortable rooms, effective underfloor heating, lovely decor and a luxurious bathroom. It’s close to Alresford and Winchester, has excellent local pubs and pleasant walks from the cottage itself. We’ve booked again already.

"Delightful Cottage with delightful owners in quaint village on working farm."
We stayed here for 6 weeks whilst work was being carried out on our property. Exquisite interior design with comfy beds, luxury bathroom and ample space for relaxing and working.

"The photos of the property conveniently did not show the unsightly concrete block farm buildings all around the property."
I get why as it is quite detracting from, what is, a lovely and well appointed cottage. I think it is disingenuous to not give the customer the full information. There were some minor issues with things like the bathroom door not shutting well, the owners very noisy garage door, and the bedroom blind being a bit delicate to work. Otherwise it was a lovely property.

"What can I say this was a beautiful house with everything we could hope for."
It is in a great location to explore and not to far in to London. The property was just great and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch, We took our dog and the property had a big enclosed outdoor space it was perfect for the dog to explore and for us to relax and enjoy the sunshine. We will be back again very soon.
