  • "The park itself was lovely."

However the geese were nice but their poo was everywhere. We as dog owners are asked to pick our dogs poo up and dispose of it which we always do. No one clears the goose poo up it was horrible as we were always having to look where we were walking while walking our dogs, so our walks were not enjoyable. The caravan was beautiful. Clean on arrival and we left it spotless when we left. We wasnt sure what to do with our bags of rubbish on check out so we walked them up to the rubbish bins.

Hello Jeannette, thank you so much for such lovely feedback. We do hope you’ll consider staying again, best wishes Property Owner

  • "Positives: Lovely lodge, well equipped & quality furnishing/linen."

Well maintained park, beautiful lakeside walks.Short drive into Chichester. Negatives: Arrived on Saturday WiFi working. Wednesday, we lost it so couldn't access TV Apps or use our tablets& the phone signal was not very good either. Their were no instructions 're loss of WiFi. There was also no info leaflets 're local attractions etc but We were given a site map at reception. We chose this park as there is a new indoor pool & we would have liked a couple of swims we obviously thought we would be able to use the pool....wrong! We would have had to buy a ' Leisure Access Card ' from reception £27.50 EACH. We didn't bother. It also have access to entertainment we didn't want.

Thanks for your review, which appears to be generally good. Re the WIFI, the WIFI connection is from the park connection. We’ve checked with the park and there were no known issues on that Wednesday. If you’d rung me on the day I would have tried to resolve. The park’s Leisure Access Card is presently, in September, £27.50 for 7 days per adult which would be £3.90 for one swim ( no limits per day). I will update Sykes listing to mention a Leisure Access Card. Thanks for your feedback Property Owner

  • "The caravan was spotlessly clean, very modern with everything you would require for a comfortable and relaxing stay."

The Park and the facilities are also of a very high standard and well maintained. Lovely walks and beach's close by, with plenty of local pubs with great food. The only negative's that detracted from our stay, was the Wifi was very intermittent with limited download speed and requires boosting. We were unaware that we required a key fob to gain access, the barrier apparently gets lowered after 6pm. We returned late to the site on our 4th day and waited for 35 minutes until another resident assisted us by lending us their key fob, frustrating.

Thanks so much for your review. We were not aware re key fob ( the caravan is new/ a new venture for us) for the barrier and will have to look into this. I am so sorry re the key fobs and can confirm we now have a key fob attached to the keys. Thanks for bringing it to our attention Property Owner

  • "The property was very comfortable and absolutely spotless."

Good directions to the property were provided. It would have been nice to have a site map at the property, and maybe some leaflets for local sites, restaurants etc. but we managed well enough. We were disappointed that there seemed to be no recycling facilities on site. However, if you could arrange for better weather (who doesn’t love a week of rain in early March) then we will be back like a shot. It would be lovely to see the geese again.

Thanks Mrs Heywood. There was a site map stuck on the wall or is my recollection failing me? The site office near the entrance has site maps and has knowledge of local attractions. I’m afraid we have no control over recycling facilities but can highlight to the park. We are not from Chichester ourselves but we will have to look into leaflets. I am sorry we cannot sort the weather - but we’d love to have you back. Thanks for your feedback. Clare Property Owner

The city of Chichester dates back to before Roman times and is mentioned in the Domesday Book as having 300 dwellings. Being the only city in West Sussex, it holds pride of place as the county town and with its magnificent 12th century cathedral and its fine Georgian shopping centre, it can truly claim to be a cultural and artistic experience for anyone visiting. Why not join one of the guided walking tours that will take you around Chichester and the city walls, or explore art galleries, museums, and historic houses or take in a show at the renowned Festival Theatre? Many exhibitions and events take place throughout the year, making this a wonderful place to visit. The Market Cross, given to the city in 1501 to provide shelter to those selling produce, is said to be the finest in Britain. Still a vibrant city, Chichester with its pedestrian shopping area, Victorian tea rooms, quaint antiques shops and continental restaurants, offers visitors a day of delights. For those who enjoy the sea and watersports, make for the popular seaside resorts of East and West Wittering and Bracklesham Bay which are just on the doorstep for family days out; so with everything from snorkelling and diving to cycling, long country walks and bird watching, Chichester is the perfect setting for anything from summer holidays to cosy winter breaks. Take a walk along the Chichester Canal to Chichester Yacht Basin and Marina and enjoy the spectacular of the yachts and boats. Add to this a bit of kayaking, golf and fishing, and there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied all year round, all of which are made better thanks to Chichester’s ‘micro-climate’. Goodwood is home to several events each year, starting with its Festival of Speed, then into Glorious Goodwood and finally Goodwood Revival bringing visitors from home and abroad to watch, listen and cheer as horses or cars race or parade in front of thousands of spectators. Chichester, is a city of history and intrigue, culture and cuisine, theatres and art galleries.
