"Cottage very well equipped comfortable beds and excellent 2k 32in TV."
Great location for touring New Forest and surrounding areas. Would certainly stay again. Parking made difficult with neighbour blocking right of way which resulted in parking on grass.

"List of problems with this property - Owners must owe debt as we had bailiffs turn up on 4 occasions demanding repossession of goods!"
!!! - The master bed is broken on 1 side. - The stool in the main bedroom was broken on 1 and when sat on I fell over, almost smashing my head. - No toilet roll - Everywhere smells of damp / mould - The back part of the house, the roof is decaying and rotting away, it’s been raining every day and water is just coming through the roof every day. On the 1st night we didn’t realise this and all of our shoes and other bits got soaked. - The whole house was just generally dirty. My final complaint , we have had bailiffs turn up to this house multiple times demanding to see the owner, I have proof of all of this. I had to make them believe I am just someone staying here not the owner!!! All of this has made for an absolutely horrible and disgusting stay! I am demanding some sort of refund for this stay.
Why did these three men spend 8 days in my house and then decide to complain? The bed was certainly not broken or my cleaner would have reported that before they moved in. Photographs taken 5 days before they moved in show the bed was not broken and therefore they must have broken it. Why did they not report problems immediately after the first night? IF any of these comlaints are true they could have been swiftly dealt with - the bed was repaired the day after their departure and we will be sending them an invoice for repairs. After spending 8-9 days in my house (Sykes will confirm) they decided, of course, that they would like a refund! See previous feedbacks for a realistic review. Property Owner

"Comfortable house in lovely area."
Good dog friendly pub literally just around the corner and others nearby. Parking not ideal. The off road parking mentioned is not allocated but parking bays off the narrow road and the five bays nearest the house were all occupied most of the time we were there. Owner said you can park on the grass outside the gate but you have to bump up the kerb and drive across grass to do that.

"Generally all was good and as expected from the description."
I did manage to connect to the Wi-Fi despite comments that it wasnt working and the TV was also connected to the internet - which meant we could watch Netflix and catch-up programmes as we would at home. We were there when it was cold and wet outside so were glad that the heating worked well and the shower was hot and plentiful. We also found the beds comfortable and warm. There was enough equipment in the kitchen for our short stay and we appreciated having a dishwasher to use. Our only comments were that it would be very helpful to have a motion sensor light at the front of the house especially we arriving on a winter night. In addition that it is hard to keep the dog from going upstairs with no stairgate or to keep muddy paws off the rugs with no doors to shut downstairs.

"Off street parking not always available - and not right beside property, listing said also could park in front of property but when we parked there we were purposely blocked in and had to drive across grass to get out, which was then reported."
Shower broke, told to read manual! Didn't respond to follow up for 6 days. No doors downstairs, made it draughtly Very hard double bed. "Utility Room" was actually lean to, with multiple spiders, worms and slugs. Washing machine and tumble dryer worked well though. Light in dining room randomly switched off and sometimes back on. No cheese grater. Good supply of other utensils and towels.
Hello - With regard to parking, I understand from neighbours that you used the wrong parking space and parked in their space which is why they had to park behind you. I'll try to make the correct parking space clearer with a sign. Sykes have apologised for not getting back to you faster about the shower and to point out that there is another shower available and a bath. I will get a cheese grater - good idea! "This is a perfect place to stay to see the New Forest."
An easy walk down a little public footpath takes you into the forest. Two pubs nearby. The Gamekeeper next door is friendly and serves lovely food and the Whire Horse at the end of Woodlands Road is great too. The house is lovely and the enclosed garden a bonus with a small dog to accommodate. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"On arrival we were a little disappointed to find there was no tea or coffee."
Such a 'welcome pack' is usually provided in our experience and means you can settle in, unpack and have a cuppa before going out to look for the nearest shop. We had milk and other food but not these. The location of the property is superb. We quickly found it is very close to lots of the places we wanted to visit. And there is an excellent pub next door! The area is very quiet and peaceful; just what we wanted. The house itself is warm and comfortable and private. The gardens front and back were a bonus and lovely for our dog, particularly as the weather was poor and we couldn't always take her for long walks. A bit more detail in the info-pack on the recycling/bin system would have been helpful. Not sure we got this right?! Because it rained so much, I realised the roof in the utility space at the back was leaking, close to the tumble-dryer. We left a note about this on the table. All in all, a lovely week, a comfortable spacious property and a beautiful part of the world.

"Minimum resources."
Biggest issue being no WiFi. Water heating settings also an issue with only two showers being available. Minimum resources in the kitchen also an issue.
Hello - Sorry, no, there's no WiFi. It was not on the list of facilities but perhaps I should make that clearer. The shower is electric and hot water is constant. You need to pull the cord next to the bathroom door to switch it on permanently, but I'll put a notice on the wall. Thanks for comments. Property Owner

"We had a lovely family break at 2 Green Close."
The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable, located in a quiet village with a pub serving great food just along the lane. It was very handy for exploring the New Forest and a short drive from Paultons Park. The only improvements we would suggest would be to have some waste paper bins in the bedrooms and maybe a lamp or reading light in the living room. All in all we enjoyed our time and would have liked to stay longer.

"Pros: Ideally situated for exploring the new forest."
Cons: The publicity is deceiving regarding access. No hospitality. Only one front door key, supposed to be two! No Wi-Fi. No internet connection to TV. Hot water and heating can only be used for one hour intervals. No dogs allowed upstairs, but no means of prevention. Garden too small for exercise our dog. No mirror or clothes hanging facility in bathroom. No hand wash basin in toilet. No outside lighting. Owner not contactable.

"Lovely house, quiet spotless comfortable, and modern."
The fabulous shower made us take stock of our own at home. The Pub next door was great, staff friendly, and obliging pies to die for. Forest walks just up the road, Morrisons Superstore about 5 miles away. If only there had been Wifi it would have been perfect. Sykes why send me an email on Friday about things to do as leaving when there was clearly no Wifi? Try carrier Pidgeon next time.

"We spent a really enjoyable week at 2 Green Close - comfortable house with pleasant enclosed garden front and back."
plenty to do in the area- we went to Buckler's Hard on the Coast & Mottisfont Abbey. Had a few meals and many drinks at Pub next door. Found super Curry House... ASHA Bangladeshi... about a mile away. New Forest is so relaxing!!!
