"We had a lovely time here."
Comfy beds, very clean, and everything you need for a holiday. It's in a great location . Would definitely recommend.
-
"Very nice property in a delightful courtyard setting."
Lovely gardens at front and rear.
-
"Lovely property , in a quiet rural location ."
Well maintained and very comfy.

"The instructions to find the property are incorrect."
Travelling from the Hereford direction, the hotel on the right is the Longville Hotel NOT the Lemore Manor Hotel. The barn was very comfortable, the location was great, and if we had stayed for longer we would have been able to find more destinations to walk our Springer Spaniel. I was able to cook some delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen. The interconnecting bedrooms were not an issue.

"A very well equipped and beautifully presented barn conversion in an idyllic setting within 20 minutes of Hay-on-Wye."
Of the three bedrooms one acts as a through-route to another (the third and largest is completely separate) but that is not a problem with children. Eardisley is a very short drive away, but is not easily (or safely) accessed on foot. Nonetheless, this a delightful location for a rural getaway and we would certainly like to return. Highly recommended.

"Really lovely place, big rooms, comfy and homely living room, very nicely decorated, beautiful garden."
We had a great stay and it was perfect for us. The description doesn't make it clear that one of the double bedrooms is accessed via the twin - this would suit most families I think and there's loads of space but good to know. Also would help if the cottages were added to Google maps for Sat Nav - Little Quebb Kitchen gets you near enough (the name of the hotel has changed in the directions). Highly recommend.

"Gorgeous property and great hosts."
Such a lovely relaxing place, home from home, couldn't have asked for anything better

"A beautiful property, very well presented."
It was immaculate and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and the bed linen and towels were excellent quality. We loved the very comfortable lounge with log burner. The gardens were beautiful. The only thing that didn’t work for our group was the upstairs space where you had to walk through one bedroom to get to another. However I can see that this would be ideal for parents with young children. I don’t think this was clear in the property description. Despite that we really enjoyed our week at the Old Barn and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. Hayley was very friendly and helpful and we did enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely holiday let.

"The Old Barn was delightful and very well equipped for our party of 4."
A larger ice tray is the only item that would have made our stay more complete ( but we improvised) The beds were really comfy, the cottage is well located to visit the area. The WI-FI is not great, but this was explained before we booked and did not affect our stay - nice to put phone and iPad down and read instead!

"Very clean cottage with everything we needed."
Lovely hosts

"Excellent service from start to finish."
Well informed throughout. The Old Barn was fantastic, clean , well equipped, everything you need, also very comfortable. Would definitely go again.

"We really enjoyed our stay."
The barn is lovely, good facilities and beautiful garden. The owners were really helpful. I would recommend putting waste paper bins in the bedrooms and lounge and tooth mugs in the bathrooms. We struggled with the chairs in the lounge - we both need chairs with good support - there were two separate chairs but unfortunately neither of us found these suited us either. The beds were great, very comfortable and a good size with lovely crisp cotton bedding. We were welcomed warmly, the home is in a beautiful location. The kitchen was well equipped: great cooker, good knives but could have done with a knife sharpener. We understand that the area in general is struggling with the Wifi - and that was our experience too - but was ok for our needs. We would go again if visiting that area.

"Exceptional property."
Very comfortable, all mod-cons and the most beautiful garden. We had an incredibly restful few days in this tranquil haven. Thoroughly recommend this property- we will definitely be returning. Thank you.
-
"Highly recommended."
A very comfortable and well equipped property in a lovely setting. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We felt that the property would benefit from a direction sign from the main road as the turning could be missed by first time visitors. Apparently this has been raised by the owner in discussion with the Highways Department without success.

"We had a great weekend at the Old Barn, which proved to be a wonderful haven in the midst of the storms and flooding."
Lovely accommodation, well equipped, comfortable, clean and quiet.
-
"We all had a thoroughly enjoyable & comfortable stay."
We thought The Barn had a lived in & relaxed feel, the ladies especially enjoyed the blankets & using the logburner. Our only small improvements would be better signage & lighting outside. In the visitors book (we are all Herefordian born & bred) we thought your description of Hereford did a great misjustice to our historic, creative & interesting Market Town. Many Thanks Zoe Newey

"A lovely cottage, perfect for 6 of us."
Very cosy and clean. All the home comforts you could need in a beautiful countryside setting.
-
"A lovely property, very clean, tidy and comfortable in a very picturesque part of the country."
My only comment would be that in order to access the main bedroom with the ensuite you need to walk through the twin room, which isn't ideal as you could disturb whoever sleeps in that room. Otherwise a great property.

"Should perhaps state in the details that the garden is not enclosed with the property and may therefore be difficult if you have a dog or young children."
We had a couple of problems which were dealt with promptly and efficiently by the owners. Beautiful property in very well attended gardens.
Thank you for your feedback. We do tend to avoid listing things that aren't available as this can sometimes cause confusion if people misread a description but will always list if a garden is enclosed. The owner was happy to address the issue with the bulb and the kettle but is pleased you had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the beautiful grounds. Property Owner

"Hayley and Rob were on hand to help & answer any queries we had, they were helpful and welcoming at all times."
The Old Barn was very well equipped, clean, tastefully furnished, and comfortable. The garden was beautiful and calming, and we used the supplied bbq. Would highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay here again.

"Worked very well renting both cottages for family of 10."
Owners cleared field of sheep so grandsons could play ball games. Lovely cottage. The beautiful gardens are behind both cottages so we could all sit outside together.
-
"The location, the comfortable accommodation, the excellent garden and the friendly welcome."
As an aside, you should try to be more discriminating in your marketing efforts. I do not want a constant string of unsolicited emails to my work account. One per quarter would be fine, but when they come every week I apply the junk filter.

"It would have been lovely to meet with the owners who live in the complex."
A welcome from them would have been appreciated. One down side. The fridge ( we had bought food to eat a meal in every day) and this is a 3 bedroomed cottage to sleep 6 people, was inadequate. A larder fridge would be much better.
-
"We had a lovely short break at The Old Barn."
It's a delightful property in idyllic, peaceful countryside, and manages to be both spacious and cosy. The Christmas tree was also an unexpected surprise. We enjoyed a fantastic bike ride around the surrounding black/white housed villages, stopping in Pembridge for lunch.

"There were a couple of points which conflicted with what we were told by the owner."
The TV channel changer had not been covered in clingfilm as per Covid guidelines and the sitting room had not been properly swept with a small amount of ash from the wood burning stove under the loose carpet. The wood burning stove had not been cleaned properly with the tray still full of ash from the previous clients. These are small points but given the emphasis on cleanliness with Covid around I felt it should have been better. The overall presentation and comfort was good standard and having been to this property a number of times it felt there had been a slight drop in standards given the hyper sensitivity of the guidelines around Covid. The table mats were also rather old and worn looking and should be replaced. This is a lovely property in a beautiful setting. Despite the minor suggestions above we would return to this property.

"Central situation to major points of interest in the area - Hereford, Brecon Beacons, Kington."
Some beautiful walks nearby. It would be useful to sign the cottage from the A4111. We had to ask in the village and the farm was not well known. Either that or a clearer description in the information. It's basically the second left leaving the village northwards with a no through road sign at its entrance, 2.7km outside the village. It would be very helpful.

"An excellent place to stay with plenty of space!"
Really easy to get to with towns to visit nearby. The owner was lovely and the cottage has all the amenities you could need including extras like games/books/logs for the fire. Only issue we had was that the hot water is only on at certain hours in the winter but was stated clearly in the handbook, so would recommend reading it thoroughly on arrival. The signal was quite poor but is to be expected in a rural area. Would definitely book to stay again!
-
"I can not fault the property, it was perfect except it was in a very poor mobile phone service and internet area and we should have been warned of this as there was no access to a landline in case of Emergences."
It was advertised as free WiFi but the signal was too weak.
