  • "Very noisy continuously running fridge."

Windows lacking catches therefore did not feel that they were secure. Interior doors would not shut properly. Tiles around shower base falling off. Sofa very uncomfortable due to a sheet of wood underneath one side. The views shown on the website can only be seen when outside in front of the cafe. This is very misleading as the other seating area faces the parking area.

  • "A freezer might be an improvement."

I had ice blocks to put in my carry bag on the hills to keep refreshments cool but couldn’t use them. Apart from that, a great place to base yourself while hill walking.

  • "The cottage is located in a beautiful area."

Lots of pleasant views and walks on the doorsteps. The downside was some equipment, constant running fridge, no markings on hob, window casements not all working. Property is a little tired. But these are minor items for walkers, etc.

Hi Grahame We hope overall you still enjoyed your stay with us. The cottages are planned to have a full refurbishment this winter so the issues you have raised are being addressed. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

Could do with a little TLC in places. Beautiful setting and enjoyed sitting out on the vineyard terrace sipping wine of an evening. Would recommend to friends

  • "So lovely to be able to bring our little dog with us."

Lovely quiet place to spend a week, just wish it had been longer. Lovely bottle of wine on arrival, just wish we had time to sample the cafe. It was our third visit and lots to see and do in the area. Thank you

  • "Super position in the middle of a vinyard."

Lots of interesting, and testing, walks. Our dog loved it. Close to beautiful countryside that has lots of interesting walks, and places to see. Brook house itself could do with a little T.L.C. like latches on all the windows. On the whole a lovely, relaxing environment.
