"Lovely, clean and spacious cottage in a stunning setting."
The owner was helpful and very kindly allows guests to access their beautiful garden and fields too. We enjoyed walks in Mortimer forest, Ludlow and it's castle and nearby National Trust Berrington hall. There is so much to do in the area with some brilliant walking and cycling trails. Perfect family holiday, my boys (7&10) thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to rebook straight away. Highly recommend this property!
Thank you for your kind words. We love to share the garden and lake with guests it’s all part of the relaxing experience. Hope to see you all again. Jayne Property Owner

"We had a wonderful week at the Coach House, it’s a lovely, homely cottage with all you could need."
We had some fantastic walks at Croft Castle and Mortimer Castle even given the March mud and rain. A day at the Small Breeds park is thoroughly recommended and only 30 minutes away. We plan to return in better weather when the gardens around the cottage will be a delight and to tackle some more trails in Mortimer Forest
-
"Lovely cottage."
Comfortable, and relatively spacious. Views from the cottage across green fields and a valley, and good local walks through woodlands and to the 11th century castle and church at Richard's Castle.
-

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. Able to explore and enjoy their splendid gardens. Within easy reach of Ludlow and many places of interest.

"Nothing could convey in advance the beautiful setting."
-
"The Coach House is extremely cosy, comfortable and a lovely place to relax in."
The kitchen is a good size and is very well equipped. The living room is light spacious and airy (plenty of room for 4 adults) and the bedrooms are bright and thoughtfully furnished with comfy beds for a good nights sleep. The whole cottage has been planned with lots of care, love and attention to detail. It is in an area of natural beauty with fabulous views and lots of local walks. Jayne and Michael are very helpful and are happy for you to enjoy walks around their lake and garden, which when we visited was bursting with spring flowers.
-
"Warm, comfortable cottage with wonderful garden and countryside views."
Very good location for walking in the Mortimer Forest and to Richards Castle. Ludlow and The Ludlow Farm Shop a short drive away. Excellent Quarry Farm Shop 5 miles in the opposite direction.
-
"The Coach House is a fantastic place to stay."
Good location to visit surrounding areas. Jayne was able to give advice about places to visit and eat. The property has everything you would need and more. It is well looked after and helped make a fantastic stay even better!
-
"As a single, not too agile, traveller the Coach House ground floor setup of kitchen, dining, living, bathroom and main bedroom suited me perfectly."
The upstairs twin looked cosy but I did not use. Lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the gardens and countryside views. Friendly but unobtrusive hosts were on hand in the adjacent Rectory if needed. Great location for touring and exploring. Ludlow is a gem. I hope to return.
-
"Owners very friendly and helpful, the coach house was very comfortable."
-
"Definitely return what more can you say it matches anything we’ve stayed"
-
"Comfortable cottage with beautiful views."
Could do with some updating, but beautiful area and views.
-
"The directions for getting there could have been clearer."
Please include the fact that the drive leading to the cottage is about a hundred yards from a red letter box situated on the right or left of the road, depending on which way you are coming from. The drive is in fact at the bottom of the hill on the main road.
-
"If space is luxury then the Coach House Holiday Cottage offers the most luxurious space of any cottage we have ever stayed in."
The grounds are exceptional. The friendly welcome and eager but discrete help was an excellent contribution to our enjoyment of a well equipped and comfortable cottage. The King size bed was a useful space to practice WHO standard of social spacing!
-

We will go back.
-

"The cottage is in a great location with views over Ludlow and central to a number of attractions in the area."
Very comfortable cottage with good facilities. Wi-Fi good,- a nice bonus. Hosts very friendly and available if needed.
-
"This is a perfect location for a winter break - well, a break at any time of year actually."
The owner is so friendly and helpful, but also discrete. The grounds and gardens are lovely with the snowdrops just coming through. The ancient Mortimer Forest is accessible over the road and there are all sorts of walks to take: climbing up high for views, winding along stream valleys, short, long, on forest vehicle tracks or on grass walking tracks. So there is always somewhere to go even when it is very wet. Plenty of deer and birds of prey, but mostly silence! The winter light is ever changing and beautiful. Ludlow is a spectacular, historic town to visit with ancient pubs and wonderful country fare. It is the best Sykes cottage we have stayed in so far with extensive views and all the home comforts you could wish for.
-
"Accommodation excellent."
Best self catering rental we have had in a long time. Very cosy and a home from home. Plenty of lovely soft towels. Many more facilities than we expected. Good base to explore local area. Lots of national trust places to visit.
-
"The Coach House is a beautifully presented cottage in lovely surroundings in an area with many interesting places to explore nearby."
Jayne, the owner is very friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend booking The Coach House and we plan to return again ourselves.
-
"We very much enjoyed our weeks stay at The Coach House with it’s lovely gardens and quiet relaxed atmosphere."
Our intention when booking was to use the house as a base for walking in the area and it certainly met our expectations with numerous local walks from the door and the magnificent Shropshire hills a short drive away. A must for any walker is a ramble up Brown Clee ( the highest point in Shropshire) and Tittestone Clee both of which have fantastic three hundred and sixty degree views across various counties. Richards Castle and Ludlow are also within easy walking distance. Their are a number of pubs/restaurants within a short drive away which we made full use of during our stay.
-
"The cottage and extensive grounds were delightful."
This is a very well-equipped, spacious, comfortable and peaceful place to stay. It provided us with an excellent base from which to explore Shropshire and further afield. The owner was friendly, available, yet not intrusive, and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely wish to make a return visit to The Coach House, if staying in Shropshire again. Thank you.

"As a family who uses holiday cottages two of three times a year this is one of the best cottages we have stayed in the cottage is clean comfortable and spacious the gardens with acres to wander around complete with lake are beautiful with lots of hidden places to find and sit the owners are who live next to the cottage make you feel very welcome and encourage you to use the garden as your own great place to stay with lot to do and places to see in the local area recommend going up Clee hill, Powis Castle and go and find the remains of Richard castle with its resident goats is a nice walk and a bit of fun."
-
"Very kind and helpful hosts."
A beautiful cottage. Would go back whenever possible. Loved the views and the peaceful atmosphere.
-
"Lovely cottage just two miles outside Ludlow set in beautiful gardens yet within easy distance to all amenities."
The owners made us very welcome, bread, butter and milk were there when we arrived as were some flowers. Ideal base to discover Shropshire and we will certainly keep this cottage in mind when coming back to this great part of the UK
