Lower Hodre is a self-catering cottage that sits in the stunning countryside of the Shropshire Hills AONB and is three miles from the village of Bucknell.

Bring your friends and family together to this characterful, Grade II listed cottage for a truly wonderful countryside retreat.

The kitchen benefits from cream-coloured units and a gas range cooker.

Step down into an inviting dining room enhanced by a wood burning stove and an elegant dining table to gather the group around.

Another couple of steps down takes you into a wonderfully relaxing sitting room fit with tremendous wooden beams, plenty of cosy seating, another wood burner and a Smart TV, what more could you need to relax at the end of a tiring day?

A light and airy conservatory completes the ground floor.

Lower Hodre's first floor is accessed up two separate staircases - one side leads to a delightful family wing boasting a comfortable double bed which leads onto a single room, both have use of an immaculate en-suite shower room.

An alternative staircase presents you with three more delightfully furnished bedrooms, one twin bedded room complete with en-suite shower room, one double room and one more twin-bedded room.

The floor also hosts a large family bathroom.

The exterior of the property is just as relaxing as the interior as it comes with a lawn, a patio and a covered hot tub area all in full view of some of the finest rural vistas that you could wish for.

Chapel Lawn Cottages

Set within the natural beauty of the Shropshire Hills are two wonderful properties, Chapel Lawn Cottages, found on the owner's private land within the small village of Chapel Lawn, just over three miles from the charming village of Bucknell. Lower Hodre is a large, Grade II listed cottage with wonderful rustic beams showcased throughout the property, decorated thoughtfully in keeping with the traditional style of the building whilst still offering a contemporary flair, this gorgeous dwelling sleeps nine guests in five bedrooms. Brynlikky Cottage on the other hand is a more modern, picture-perfect, timber-clad cottage with just two bedrooms, both with en-suites, sleeping four guests, providing a homely setting for a scenic Shropshire stay, with both properties benefitting from their own private hot tubs along with a beautiful garden each too. Just a short drive away will bring you to the lovely village of Bucknell, resting on the edge of this glorious Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is home to a Post Office and a local pub, whilst the larger town of Knighton is packed with all you need for your self-catered stay, from cafés and shops, to pubs and restaurants, it's a quaint selection worth discovering. Being close to the Wales/England border, walkers will be delighted to have the chance to explore the famous Offa's Dyke Path, spanning over 150 miles, it provides an easy way to experience the spectacular scenery. Venture deeper into this rural paradise and visit the town of Clun resting in the heart of the Hills, passing over The Old Bridge before visiting the remains of Clun Castle while enjoying the sweeping views of the area. Also nearby is the popular medieval town of Ludlow, a wonderfully quaint town with charming buildings, a castle and numerous restaurants, pubs and bars, as well as being famous for its reputation for quality food and drink with Ludlow playing host to two popular food festivals every year. The pretty village of Bucknell nestles in the beautiful valley of the River Teme in South Shropshire, close to the borders of Wales and Herefordshire. This is a lovely area of peaceful unspoilt countryside, but still offering much interest for the visitor - the historic market town of Ludlow renowned for its superb restaurants, Ironbridge with its famous museums, and the county town of Shrewsbury are all within easy driving distance. The Heart of Wales Railway has a station in the village and to the south are the black and white villages of North Herefordshire with their cider orchards. Bucknell offers two pubs, both serving food, whilst the nearby market towns of Craven Arms and Knighton offer a full range of amenities.
