The Cottage had everything we needed and was clean and very comfortable with its own parking. We would definitely book to stay there again.

Facilities quite adequate , though not to our personal tastet. Holiday marred by car breaking down on way home. Owner kindly phoned re items left behind, and I am afraid I was quite brusqe as it was just as the car had broken down! She deserved a better response.

  • "We had such a lovely week at Sandy Cottage."

It was absolutely immaculate and really comfortable. We had a lovely welcome pack and the welcome pack for our dog was such a nice touch. The kitchen had everything and more you could need to cook and the beds were really comfortable. The cottage is in a great location for going off to explore different parts of the island. Some of our favourites are Sandown beach, Bembridge and Brading and Culver Down.

it was a pleasure having you to stay, I'm so glad you and your doggie enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "This was our first visit to the Isle of Wight."

We were so pleased with the location of the cottage. It was easily accessible to the whole island yet a nice quiet backwater to return to. The place was spotless, tastefully decorated with quality furnishings which were a pleasure to use. I liked the larger fridge in the kitchen with a freezer. The textile stair gate at the bottom of the stairs was a useful tool for keeping Archie (the dog) downstairs. Back garden was totally enclosed which gave me peace of mind when he was out on his own. Thank you for the goodies which we all enjoyed. A brilliant holiday with lots of happy memories.

  • "Sandra has thought of everything needed for a lovely stay at Sandy Cottage."

We really appreciated the stair gate for our 18 month old and there were some thoughtful touches, such as the toddler-friendly tableware and some infant books - which my daughter loved! The welcome basket for us was a kind touch too. The cottage is spotlessly clean, bright and airy and is a perfect place to come back to after exploring the Isle of Wight for the day. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

thank you so much, I look forward to having you stay again. Property Owner

  • "Not having been to IoW before, we needed a cosy place to act as a base to explore and then come back and be comfortable."

We found it at Sandy Cottage. It is very cosy and perfectly relaxing with everything you need, so well equipped. It is very homely and after a while it is easy to think one might be literally at home. Unfortunately we had to leave, hey ho. Never had such a welcome set of treats both for us and the dog - especially the dog. Thanks to Sandra, lovely to meet you and thanks for sharing your lovely house with us. We had a very lovely two weeks and love the island very much. Needless to say, we will be back.

  • "Excellent property in a good location."

Everything you need and so clean and very welcoming. This owner goes above and beyond providing all the essentials - tea bags, coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. even a bottle of red - we brought it all with us, but didn't even need to unpack it. Also a lovely hamper for our rescue greyhound with packets of dog treats which was really thoughtful. Thank you for a great property - which we will recommend to others.

Very comfortable beds with good quality bedding. Its in a cul-de-sac, which I was a little apprehensive about. But area is very good and quiet ,no issues at all. Lovely welcome pack too.

  • "Sandy Cottage is very well equipped, immaculately clean and comfortable."

The generous welcome pack was very much appreciated. The location is very convenient for exploring most of the island, particularly if using the local buses to visit Shanklin, Ventnor, Newport and Ryde. We found the Southern Vectis bus app was very helpful to plan around local road closures and diversions. We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Cottage.

  • "An absolutely stunning cottage, beautifully furnished to an extremely high standard, we could not fault it at all and it was spotlessly clean."

Provisions at the cottage went over and above what was expected, including a coffee machine and cafetière, a beach bag and four beach towels and a bucket and spade. Also a huge crate of items was available for dog owners. On arrival, we were greeted with fresh flowers and a welcome pack that included fresh bread, cheese and milk - all local produce. We would not hesitate in recommending this fabulous property and hope to stay again in the future.

The host was attentive and kind and we loved the little touches around the house. It’s very light and airy and will be gorgeous in the summer months. The cottage is a short walk to the beach and easy to find, but in a residential area so very quiet at night. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Sandy Cottage again if we return to the IOW.
