  • "Disappointed as we booked a three bedroom caravan but only got a two bedroom one ..."

Disappointed as we booked a three bedroom caravan but only got a two bedroom one and when we asked for a refund you refused saying it was a superior caravan but to our standard it definitely is not a superior caravan

The 3 bed caravan was upgraded to a 2 bed caravan in December last year. A lot of work has been put into this caravan to superior states. All guests who booked for a 3 bed caravan for the year 2024 were informed including yourself about a change to a 2 bedroom caravan. Most guests cancelled including yourself. But you then rebook this time no pet but 1 baby with 4 adults. This meant that you were aware of the change of caravan from 3 to 2 bed. This caravan too sleeps 6 with a sofa bed if needed. If you felt so strongly that your needs was for a 3 bed you should have asked Sykes to re book you for a 3 bed caravan instead and not to accept my 2 bed, Caravan. There are photos of the interior and exterior of my caravan before you accept the booking. Property Owner

About the location

BEMBRIDGE

Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.

Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
