"The property was stunning."
The interior was furnished beautifully. Everything you could possibly want was available even hot water bottles. The only thing was that it wasn't suitable for four elderly ladies. The stairs were very steep and the outside path was also steep and a bit dangerous for us. It is more suited for a family.

"We had a wonderful time, and enjoyed our stay."
Would not recommend this for four adults ( small second bedroom with no cupboards) would suit two children. Downstairs bathroom floods when taking a shower and unfortunately for us neither of the bathroom lights worked so we used a torch at night, this was reported to Sykes but nothing happened. The garden is in need of a lot of attention, we did pull out a lot of weeds which improved it a bit.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you had a wonderful time and enjoyed your stay. We apologise for the issues you encountered during your visit. We take full responsibility for the garden's condition and appreciate your efforts in improving it. We have since implemented additional garden maintenance to ensure it is in excellent condition for future guests. Regarding the second bedroom, we have taken your feedback on board and added under-bed storage alongside the 12 shelves and ample hanging space in the main bedroom. We are sorry to hear about the maintenance issues in the downstairs bathroom. Unfortunately, we did not receive any contact from you reporting these issues during your stay, nor was anything added to the guest maintenance log. These have now been addressed. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We hope to welcome you back soon and provide you with an even better experience. Property Owner

"Enjoyed our stay, once we got there!"
Could you please put note on 'how to get there' section? Followed satnav which took us to Shanklin, then discovered road to Ventnor was closed due to major landslip last December, which we weren't aware of. Once we reached Ventnor we used satnav again, ignoring a couple of 'Road Closed' signs and reached cottage OK. At least we weren't troubled by passing traffic!
We are so pleased you had an enjoyable stay at the cottage and thank you for your valuable feedback, we are reviewing the communication of ‘how to get there’ in the guest emails. We are pleased the road from Shanklin into Ventnor is now open. We hope to welcome you back for another positive stay soon. Property Owner

"Very comfortable property."
Nice location, great value for money. A shavers plug socket would be useful. The property is listed as having a washing machine. We found the washing machine in the outside storage building. All plumbed in, but no power socket so we were unable to use. I texted the mobile number twice during our stay but received no reply.
Hello James we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed the comfort and location of the property. A shaving socket would be a brilliant addition, thank you for that feedback we will add it to our list of modifications to make. We are sorry the washing machine wasn’t quite ready for your stay as we were moving it’s location. It is now fully plumbed and plugged in. I do apologise you didn’t receive a response to your messages, we have double checked our maintenance phone and nothing was received at our end. We hope we can welcome you back to stay again on the beautiful island. Property Owner

"The cottage was very nice."
Good location, very clean and comfortable. Local information provided was really useful. Lovely welcome pack, very much appreciated. The only disappointment was the washing machine provided wasn't plumbed in, therefore unusable.
We are so pleased you had a lovely stay Julie and enjoyed the cottage and local area. We’re really sorry that the washing machine wasn’t up and running, that was an oversight on our part and will be sorted very soon. We hope we can welcome you back for further visits to the island in the future. Property Owner

"We had such a lovely stay here."
We found the cottage to be really clean, and the kitchen very well-equipped for anything that we needed. The best thing we found was the location. It was so peaceful, such a lovely area with the most gorgeous sea view. I think it's also worth noting that the beds were really comfortable. We would definitely recommend, and are potentially looking to book again next year (although, I was reluctant to write a review as it's such good value for money I didn't want to share my find...!)
Thank you so much for your kind words we are so pleased you loved your stay and can’t wait to welcome you back. Property Owner
