The property

Anchorage House is a well-positioned terraced house situated in the sought-after seaside village of Seaview on the Isle of Wight, enjoying sea views and a location just moments from the beach, making it ideal for families or friends looking to explore this renowned coastal destination.

Set over three floors and designed in a reverse-level layout, the living areas are thoughtfully arranged on the first floor to make the most of the elevated outlook.

The first-floor living/dining room provides a welcoming space to gather after a day out, whether enjoying a meal together or unwinding in front of the TV, with double doors opening up onto a raised terrace, a lovely spot for morning coffee.

The neighbouring kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare home-cooked dishes, making it easy to start the day with a hearty breakfast or wind down with a relaxed evening meal.

On the ground floor, you will find two of the bedrooms: a double and a twin, both conveniently located near the family bathroom, which features a bath with shower over.

The remaining bedroom is positioned on the second floor, offering a double bed and the added benefit of its own en-suite shower room, providing a private retreat within the house.

Outside, the enclosed rear patio with furniture and a raised terrace offers a pleasant spot to sit with a drink or enjoy a simple meal in the fresh sea air.

Guests will also benefit from secure parking in an underground car park, including space for a boat, ideal for those looking to take advantage of the coastal setting.

A shop, pub, and beach are all a short distance away, placing everyday essentials and seaside enjoyment right on the doorstep.

Nearby Ryde offers sandy beaches, a traditional pier, and a range of eateries, while Bembridge is known for its harbour, windmill, and coastal walks.

Ventnor, on the southern coast, provides botanic gardens, a scenic esplanade, and access to the island’s rugged shoreline.

Attractions within easy reach include Puckpool Park with its tennis courts and mini-golf, Seagrove Bay for beach days, and the Seaview Duver nature reserve, where wildlife and coastal scenery can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Anchorage House provides a well-located base for discovering the Isle of Wight, with coastal charm and village amenities all close at hand.

SEAVIEW

Ryde 2.6 miles.

Seaview is a small Edwardian seaside village on the north eastern shores of the Isle of Wight, only a 15 minute drive from the superb transport links of Ryde. Seaview is one of the South of England’s most famous holiday destinations, with a reputation of being an upmarket resort. This lovely seaside resort has stunning views out across the Solent, gorgeous golden sandy beaches, a sailing club, boutique shops and many popular restaurants and pubs, such as The Seaview Hotel. On the coastal footpath towards Ryde just off Springvale is Puckpool Park, an old Victorian Fortification Battery, now with tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area set within its pretty gardens. In the summer, locals and tourists take part in the famous Seaview Regatta, competing in many traditional activities, with races on the beach at Seagrove Bay, rowing in the village’s own unique boats, tug of war, the greasy pole and diving, all concluded at the end of the week with a magnificent firework display. As well as being a coastal village the nearby countryside at Seaview’s Duver is a nature reserve, with frequent visits from the beautiful red squirrel, as well as having an incredible array of bird life. A wonderful Isle of Wight base.
