  • "The property owner was really helpful from the instant I booked!"

The accommodation was perfect - fantastic location (minutes walk from town and beach including the infamous Ventnor paddling pool, restaurants and bars), well-equipped and beautifully furnished. We loved the sea view from the lounge, and also thought it was extremely well priced. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay."

Great communication and suggestions. Super clean. Thought of all facilities and equipment. Super comfy bed. Bath a little tricky to negotiate! It is a cliff view and not down at the seafront. We would recommend the Spyglass pub, Volunteer inn (local pub), Dairymans Daughter at Arreton, Amazon World zoo and the Donkey Sanctuary. Definitely not the Massala Bay and Butterfly world! Lovely stay!

As we had travelled by public transport the location was ideal, being near bus stops and shops.

Everything you need is there. The furnishings are really nice and look great. The only niggle is the bath/shower . A bit difficult to negotiate, Apart from that , a super apartment and would definitely return.

Very central and a great view. For our needs pretty good. Nice and direct contact with the owner after we had a small issue to clarify.

  • "We really enjoyed staying in the flat, it was conveniently situated and had an excellent sea view, the kitchen was good and well equipped."

There were however some drawbacks that we would like to mention, and we noticed had already been referred to by other customers. Firstly the towels were totally inadequate, they were very thin and soaked after one use. Moreover, the flat has no facility for drying anything once the radiators are turned off. We had to buy supplementary bath towels during our stay in order to dry ourselves after a shower. The wifi was very slow and kept cutting out-this may be beyond the owner's control of course. The owner had left some DVDs but there was no remote controller for the DVD player and no controls on the player. I texted one of the contact numbers given to ask about the controller and was disappointed to receive absolutely no acknowledgement of my text, let alone any information. Realistically, parking outside the flat is not possible. It would be useful to give more details of the tourist parking permit which is good value

Dear Sarah, Many thanks for taking the time to review No.5 Cliffview. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the flat and appreciated the sea view. However we are very sorry to hear you experienced a few issues . Regarding the towels all extra towels are under the bed. We have now brought them into the bathroom so they are easy for guests to find. We have also removed the set of towels which appear to have become thin. There has never been a remote control for the dvd player and we have always operated it via the main box. We have now removed the dvd player to save any confusion. Sorry you did not feel there were sufficient drying facilities when the radiators or towel rails were switched off. There is an airer in the cupboard which we have now brought out into the bathroom to make it easier for guests to find. Many thanks for your suggestion to add the parking permit information in greater detail. We have now added the web link to our welcome letter and not just on the Sykes website. We are so sorry we never recieved your text message and have now added a further number to our contact details. We wish you all best. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "What a great well positioned, well stocked and clean apartment in walking distance of all amenities."

We had 4 glorious days at this lovely apartment. As somebody who struggles when away with the comfort of beds and especially pillows I cannot fault either they were both so comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. However this was marred by the fact that the bedroom window is sealed shut and cannot be opened. It was very windy two of the nights we were there and the wind was howling around the back court yard and even though the window is sealed it didn’t stop the draft coming in which made the blind bang against the window so if a light sleeper this may not be so good. Wasn’t a lover of the bath and shower bath was very deep and uncomfortable no free shower head. Could do with some extra/bigger towels as the small hand towels are no good for washing long hair. We would recommend buying a parking permit for the car park a 2min walk away as parking on the street is not always possible. With all this said we still had had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a stay here due to the fantastic location.

Flat was exactly like the pictures on the website, newly renovated, well appointed and clean with a great view over the sea. Friendly cleaner who changed linen/cleaned half way through the stay.
