• "Property isn’t really ground floor as you have to go below street level."

  Excellent apartment.Everything you need for a comfortable stay.Very steep hill but only a short way up.Proximity to seafront couldn’t be better. We bought a weekly parking pass and parked in big car park behind Spyglass Pub. Pass can be used for most of the rest of the Islands car parks but look it up on website as a different code has to be used.

• "Ideal for a short break for two."

  Great for us and we are a couple in our 70's but the steep incline up to the property will not suit those with any walking difficulties. It's about 30 steps up the hill from the promenade, which makes it very well situated. Parking will be difficult at peak times, although the long stay behind the excellent Spyglass Inn (about 200 yards) seems always to have space. The parking currently costs £2 for an overnight stay. If you were to park up all day allow at least another £10 - a bugbear of ours. The property is ok for two and well presented. This was our second visit and we expect to be back!

• "We very much enjoyed our stay at Seaside."

  The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and peaceful, and surprisingly quiet given that there's a flat above and neighbours next door. Being on the ground floor it was also very pleasantly cool which was especially welcome as it was an extremely hot week. It's lovely being so close to the sea and hearing the waves, and there are walks with beautiful views in both directions from the apartment. The drawback is that it's on a very steep hill and, if you come by car, you can't park outside or very nearby. We decided not to pay for a week's parking permit and instead parked, for free, in a road not too far away (Park Road) and this worked well for us. Another difficulty, (but this might be due to our ineptitude with such things!) was that we found the keysafe very difficult to open. On arrival we almost gave up trying after numerous failed attempts but then, miraculously, it opened! But no such luck when we left so we posted the key back through the letterbox instead. We've found keysafes tricky at times previously but have never before been unable to open one eventually. But, notwithstanding these issues, we loved the apartment and its location (in spite of the climb!) and wouldn't hesitate to return.

• "Just right for couples."

  The facilities were good and very clean, with a thoughtful welcome pack as well. Very central to all the amenities that Ventnor has to offer, and only a few short yards to and from the promenade, all be it, up and down a very steep hill. But that’s Ventnor for you. People with severe mobility issues may find the access to the accommodation a challenge. Not withstanding this, we had a wonderful week and if we were returning to the Island, we would have no hesitation in rebooking ‘Seaside’. Regards, Robert.

• "We really enjoyed our week’s stay in this property which is located close to the seafront of Ventnor and was an ideal base for exploring the island."

  We found the property clean, well maintained and comfortable. The premises are very well equipped with a en-suite, great kitchen/diner/lounge. The welcome pack could have included more information about the property and instructions for all appliances. Parking in not permitted outside the premises but is available in the nearby carpark. We purchased a 7 day parking permit giving unlimited parking at a cost of £52.90. The property is located on a steep hill and there are steps down into the property which did not bother us but it would be difficult for anyone with limited mobility.

• "Superb apartment for a couple; very clean and everything you could need including a fan, hairdryer, airer and cleaning products etc."

  Delightfully decorated with a sea view and literally a few meters from the sea front. Would not be suitable for someone with limited mobility as there are a few steep steps down to the front door. We paid for a tourist parking permit for seven days and found this to be really convenient, especially when travelling around the island. You just use the code given on the parking machine. Usually parked at the car park above the Spyglass Inn if no space along the seafront, a very short walk away. Would recommend Seaside, fabulous location.

• "The apartment was beautifully decorated, fully equipped and spotlessly clean."

  The location was perfect, we made our morning coffee, strolled to the seafront with it and sat overlooking the sea, watching the esplanade wake up.

• ""Seaside" is a beautiful apartment, spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and ideally placed for the beach and town."

  Although less than 50 yards from the prom, the apartment was peaceful with very few persons or traffic passing the door as it is situated in a no-through road. Whilst sitting at the breakfast bar you can see the sea and can also hear the waves breaking from the bedroom at night. Two bus routes stop within a 5 minute walk one of which runs every 30 minutes (with a night service at the weekend) so "Seaside" is ideal for those who do not have their own transport. There are walks from the doorstep towards Bonchurch in one direction - a flat, easy walk, and Steephill Cove in the other direction - an undulating walk along the coastal footpath. Penny was helpful and welcoming and I would recommend a stay at "Seaside" without reservation.
