• "A great property, spacious enough for 6 people but felt cosy even with just us 4 and the two dogs."

  Great outdoor space, a shame it's gone a bit slimy in places but just like at home I suspect it's due to all the recent rain and lack of sunshine reaching it to dry it out. Otherwise 10/10.

  Inside, the barn has been done out beautifully, everything was new and immaculate - it was spotless. It also had everything you could need in terms of amenities. The host was really lovely and communicative. I'd highly recommend and would go back again.

• "The holiday home is gorgeous."

  Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We arrived to refreshments including wine and strawberries which were delicious. The owner was really accommodating and helped us to find the farm entrance in the dark when we arrived late at night. Would highly recommend.

• "Beautiful barn conversion in a lovely rural situation."

  We were looking for something a bit special for a few days stay and the Goose Shed certainly exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. Lovely decor, comfortable furnishings including beds, super bathrooms, well equipped kitchen- the property certainly had the wow factor! Very peaceful and quiet but ideally situated for exploring East Kent. Nearby Goodnestone Gardens was an unexpected gem - Kate is a lovely accommodating host who gave us great recommendations and helped us with directions before we arrived. Thank you for a lovely stay on your peaceful farm. Wonderful autumn break.

• "We would highly recommend staying at The Goose Shed."

  It’s in a gorgeous rural setting(very quiet). It is situated close to Canterbury and in a good position to reach other nearby places easily. Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. The secure garden was brilliant for our dog, it’s all on one level. Would recommend The Red Lion in Bridge for evening meals. Kate (the owner) lives nearby and was extremely helpful with any questions.

• "A fantastic property."

  Very clean and tidy. It was very comfortable with everthing you need. Lots of outside space and sunbeds. Very peaceful location with some great local walks. We had a great holiday here and would highly recommend this cottage which easily fit our family of 4 and a dog.

  . extremely helpful host, who went above and beyond to help us. The Goose Shed is a great, rural stay; with peace, quiet and tranquility, a car is a must if you want to get further afield. Everything is quality and comfortable ; thank you so much for providing a fan in each room as they were much needed. This place makes a perfect base if you want to explore more of what Kent has to offer. Highly recommend!

  Goose Barn is a superior holiday accommodation that is just like a home from home. By far the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in over the years we have been holidaying in the UK. It is well equipped, comfy beds and tastefully furnished in a tranquil location. A brilliant place to stay to explore Kent. Kate’s hospitality is excellent. Thank you for the welcome pack too. • "The property was perfect, especially for my dad who has mobility issues."

  We had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy, showers amazing and kitchen living space was lovely. The welcome pack was very nice. We were lucky enough to have really good weather and really enjoyed using the outside space and garden, which was perfect for our little Westie. We had a fantastic time and we are looking forward to returning next year.

• "Fabulous stay."

  Roomy but also cosy. Nice and peaceful location and an excellent base for visiting the south east. Very well stocked from extra toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and kitchens scales. Would be good for more information to be provided on this as could have packed a lot less! My only minor feedback is there was only a small freezer box and the fridge wouldn’t hold a lot of bigger bottles etc if the accommodation had 6 adults and in the warmer months could be a struggle. Communication from the owner was excellent along with a lovely welcome gift. Would def stay here again and recommend.

  Situated centrally for visiting Kent’s coastal towns and the lovely historic Canterbury. Property is set in a very rural and quiet location where the only sound you can hear are the birds. Highly recommended.

• "The accommodation was outstanding."

  It wasn’t the easiest to find down narrow country lanes but walking in through the door there was a real wow factor. The barn had everything we needed and was much larger than we expected. It was quality throughout and we can’t recommend it highly enough. It initially seemed a little remote but turned out to be well situated to get to all the main towns, beaches and attractions of this part of Kent. My wife and I will definitely be returning…and don’t let the idea of being part of a working farm put you off. It was as peaceful as you could possibly want and we were unaware of any farm activity throughout the stay. 5* all the way

• "The Goose Shed is a delightful holiday cottage."

  It has everything you need and more. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and there is plenty of room for 6 people and a dog. The artwork on the walls is beautiful. The wonderful countryside of Kent is right at your doorstep from the cottage. Canterbury is a lovely city. Thank you very much Kate for all the lovely touches!

• "Lovely spacious accommodation with comfy beds in a rural area and a good base to explore all of East Kent as everything within 30 min drive."

  Thoughtful touches from owner, who was quick to respond to a query. Finding the property difficult for the first time as no details under ' Getting here' on Sykes page, which would be a quick fix and using postcode on satnav covers too wide an area. What3words might be more useful, particularly as property is approached on a single lane road in a rural area with no turning points.

• "The Goose Shed is a well thought out property, with beautiful furnishings, good design with home comforts put in place."

  All three double bedrooms are fitted out with comfort in mind with nice bedding, quality beds and a hairdryer in each of the rooms. With a well equipped kitchen and a fab dining table, great for dining, but also good for board games. The sofas were comfortable and the tv a decent size. The en suite shower and over the bath shower were good and great outdoor seating. There isn’t anything negative to say about The Goose Shed only positive things. Would definitely recommend.

• "We had a really fantastic weekend at the Goose Shed, it was a real home from home, with everything you need for a comfy, cosy stay."

  The whole of the accommodation was beautifully decorated and immaculately presented The kitchen and living areas were perfect for relaxing in, after a busy day out. The showers in the bathrooms were wonderful and the towels soft and luxurious, the bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfy. The outside space was lovely and perfect for our dog and for us. Kate the hostess was warm and friendly and provided a lovely welcome pack for us, which we all enjoyed. We are really looking forward to our return visit next year, and highly recommend a stay at this property.
