The property

Culverstone Green 2.8 miles.

This delightful, detached lodge is situated in the grounds of the owner's home, close to the village of Culverstone Green in Kent.

Rich in local wildlife and the perfect getaway for animal lovers, the lodge is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives whether it's for a romantic weekend for two, or a long holiday with plenty of fresh air and country walks.

You enter through French doors into a light and welcoming sitting room with splendid views over lawn and trees, just the place to snuggle up together and enjoy a film or just relax in each other’s company.

The dining area is perfectly situated so a cosy dinner for two can be unhurried and enjoyed to its fullest while still taking in the vista.

You reach the well-equipped kitchen down one step where there is everything you will need, whether you are creating a delicious dinner with romance in mind, or just a mid-day snack before setting off for a country walk or cycle ride.

From the kitchen you enter into the spacious double bedroom complete with en-suite shower room and French doors out onto your private decked area, perfect for sitting together and planning an exciting day out over morning coffee, or reflecting on a day filled with walks and wildlife over a glass of wine looking into the woods beyond.

Whatever the weather outside, this lodge will be at the perfect temperature, as at the flick of a switch, the warm air changes to air conditioning and the temperature drops, so no need for restless nights’ sleep when the temperature rises.

The owners have taken great care to offer guests as much privacy as possible with carefully positioned screening so only the owner's two friendly dogs may make an uninvited appearance!

With free roaming wildlife, flora and fauna surrounding this lovely lodge and with private woods to walk in, this is a vacation to be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Chatham offers Upnor Castle sitting on the river banks, and the historic dockyard, with fascinating maritime heritage attractions, where you can climb aboard 3 historic war ships, visit galleries and museums with information from days of Spanish Armada to more recent dates. The area also enjoys several nature reserves, country parks, National Trust and English Heritage properties, Brands Hatch racing circuit and other sports and leisure attractions to suit all ages. Within easy travelling distance you can explore the cosmopolitan cathedral city of Canterbury. Or for the more adventurous, why not try a day trip over to France, with Ebbsfleet Station just ten miles away?
