10 Customer Reviews

  • "This is the perfect getaway property when visiting Herne Bay."

Well positioned for all the amenities and with excellent transport links. We would definitely recommend High Tide, and we would strongly consider using it again! Kind regards, Robert and Elizabeth.

  • "What a great find."

This property was so convenient- we travelled to Herne Bay by train and used public transport all week. The bus stops were literally around the corner (60-90 second walk) and the rail station was a short bus ride or 15 min walk away. Herne Bay has plenty to offer- we enjoyed many peaceful walks along the esplanade. Close to hand were take-aways, restaurants, cafes, pubs and supermarkets. The property is well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay- we highly recommend High Tide and hope to return in the near future.

  • "A lovely, homely and comfortable property with everything you could possibly need."

Parking in the street for one hour for drop off and pick up of luggage but free parking on Beacon Hill which was only a short walk away. Promenade and sea at the bottom of East Street so very convenient. Bus stops just around the corner to go to either Canterbury, Margate etc. In fact great bus service all round. All in all a perfect spot for us.

  • "It was lovely furnished."

The landlords were very attentive. If we need them, they were there for us and always amenable. The Apartment was near the sea. Furthermore the supermarkets were right nearby. Plus the area was very beautiful. We can recommend this accommodation.

  • "Comfortable property, clean, warm and well laid out."

It was close to all amenities and to the sea front. Plenty of places of interest to drive to near by or if you are of a certain age and have free bus passes, there is a good bus service to get around on. Thank you for all the goodies left for us, much appreciated.

About the location

HERNE BAY

Whitstable 5 miles; Canterbury 7 miles; Broadstairs 13 miles; Dover 23 miles.

Herne Bay has been a popular holiday destination for many years. With its award-winning shingle beach and restored Victorian memorial gardens, this offers families the perfect, relaxing holiday location. Herne Bay's seafront is home to the world's first freestanding purpose-built Clock Tower, built in 1837 which looks down onto the well-kept promenade. As expected when visiting an English seaside town, there are many eateries serving everything from traditional fish and chips to exotic delicacies, and of course, no seaside town is complete without an ice cream parlour and Herne Bay has two! The historic city of Canterbury is only 7 miles away, with its famous cathedral and historic past, offering theatres, museums and art galleries as well as shops, restaurants, and trips along the river. For a day of cobbled streets and browsing around quaint little shops, then make for Whitstable, famous for its Oyster festival and a popular harbour town at any time of year.
