    "We had an amazing stay at Swallows Lodge."

    It is pristine with lots of useful and thoughtful amenities. Polly and Rod were such friendly hosts who made our stay even better. Nelson the dog was an equally welcoming host and was a hit with the kids. Nelson didn't come into the cottage and was a very well behaved ( and dealt with slightly nervous kids/ grandparents very well)!! The cottage is in a very convenient location for trips to Brighton, London and the beaches. The kids are already planning their next trip to Swallows Lodge!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

    "We have just returned from a lovely week at Swallows Lodge."

    The lodge was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and in a wonderfully peaceful setting. Lots of great bridle paths just outside your front door to explore. Plenty of NT properties nearby. Chartwell, Hever Castle & Standen House were all delightful. If you're a fan of Winnie the Pooh a visit to Pooh Corner is a must. Rod & Polly and their family were great hosts (not forgetting Nelson of course). We hope to be back for another visit soon.

    "A beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet area."

    Easy to get to so a very good base for exploring the area which had far more than we could look at in a week. Beds were really comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The owners were really welcoming and friendly and the eggs and sausages were much appreciated.

    "Another a great visit to Swallows Lodge, Hoopers Farm, Edenbridge in Surrey."

    The accommodation is brilliant and we were blessed with some great weather. We're on a working farm that still provides a peaceful environment with birdsong in abundance. Even the regular planes landing at nearby Gatwick Airport were perfectly acceptable noise intrusions. Polly and Rod are great hosts with whom we enjoyed a very pleasant evening dining outside. There are so many places to visit around here that we have had a fairly hectic but extremely enjoyable week. We will definitely be back for another visit.

    "We had such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday at 'Swallows Lodge'."

    The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite their busy schedule our hosts, Rod and Polly went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, passing on lots of useful information about the area. The surrounding scenery was idyllic and we really enjoyed walking along the different bridle paths - but especially the one which led to 'The Plough' pub, where we relaxed in the garden with a refreshing glass of cider. The holiday was just perfect! Thank you

    "Hoopers Farm is ideally located around many interesting places, such as Hever Castle, Nymans or the Seven Sisters."

    Swallows lodge is an outstanding cottage, with a high quality interior and we really enjoyed our time here. It is a pleasure to use the footpaths directly in front of the house. Polly and rod are great hosts, and always had time for a quick chat when their work on the farm allowed. All in all 5 stars and thumbs up.

    "What a lovely property!"

    "Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay."

    Lots of places to visit within a reasonable distance (especially National Trust) and located on a working farm. Great location for bird watchers and plane spotters. The owners are great hosts and very keen to ensure your stay is perfect. The fridge in the kitchen is small for the number of potential guests (6) but the owners do have a cold store available if required. Looking forward to going back next year.

    "We loved our stay in this well thought out and spacious modern conversion located in the middle of an environmentally friendly small family farm whose on-site owners were always happy to chat without ever being intrusive."

    With plenty of footpaths and bridleways between hedges thick with hazel and holly, honeysuckle and dog rose leading to Spring bluebell woods, Swallows Lodge really is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the countryside. National Trust members will find many local properties to visit and explore, and there are even local stations at Lingfield or Edenbridge for days out in London.

    "We had a fantastic stay at Swallows Lodge."

    We stayed as a group of 6, 4 adults and 2 older children, and the spacious living spaces and bedrooms meant there was plenty of room for all to relax. The cottage is well equipped with all we needed for our stay. We were lucky to be staying when there had been new arrivals on the farm and a highlight of our stay was a tour of the farm with Polly. Polly and the family made us feel very welcome and guided us to some pretty walks and viewpoints from the lodge.

    "The directions were clean and it was easy to find."

    The house was incredibly clean upon arrival. All the rooms were a good size and we were able to make the house toddler proof with ease. 3 bathrooms were well equipped with good showers. The kitchen had everything we needed. Tea, coffee and some fantastic sausages from the farm were provided which was a nice touch. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and we're kind enough to show us round the farm during our stay. All in all we had a lovely break and would recommend this property to anyone and everyone.

    "Had a wonderful stay for Christmas!"

    The property was perfect: extremely clean; comfortable; and we had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had some lovely country walks from the property and visited a lot of the local attractions. We were sad to leave and would definitely like to stay again.

    "We’ve had the most wonderful 5 day stay at Swallows Lodge."

    The cottage was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. The beds were super comfy with quality linen and duvets. Bathrooms were also spotlessly clean and the showers had excellent pressure. The log burning stove gave off a lovely warmth which added to the ambience. The information provided in the cottage in respect of using appliances etc and local services and places of interest was extremely comprehensive The owners left some sausages, minced beef, fresh milk and tea a coffee which was most welcome and delicious. The owners were welcoming without being intrusive and communication from booking until the end of our stay was excellent. The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing, which was just what we were looking for. We would not hesitate to recommend Swallows Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be booking again.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Dormansland in Surrey lies the brilliant, three-bedroom holiday home of Swallows Lodge.

Boasting ample off-road parking space, an enclosed patio with outdoor seating and a barbecue, along with stunning, bright interiors highlighted by flagstone flooring and tasteful wooden features, this superb property makes a perfect base for a family or a group of six friends seeking a relaxing, self-catered getaway within the magnificent High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Park up outside your wonderful new home-from-home, taking a moment to soak in your tranquil new setting.

Step into your new abode to discover a well-appointed, tastefully-presented open-plan living space, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances, a dining table with seating for six, and a sitting area complete with plush sofas, a sleek wall-mounted Smart TV and an elegant woodburning stove.

A brief car trip will take you into the heart of Dormansland, a large village housing a Post Office selling homely essentials, the pubs of The Plough Inn and The Royal Oak, and eateries such as the Old House at Home.

Peaceful walks in nature can also be had within the Dormansland Recreation Ground, whilst the property rests on the National Cycle Trail, a popular route with keen walkers and cyclists.

Slightly further afield, the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells can be found, home to Dunorlan Park, the Spa Valley Railway, the Toad Rocks scenic point, and the High Rocks National Monument.

The historic site of Hever Castle & Gardens also lie nearby, former home of Anne Boleyn, whilst the spectacular Water Maze can also be found and enjoyed here during your visit.

For a full day out, head by car for a tour of the High Weald AONB, where you can enjoy ambling through the botanic gardens of Wakehurst, tour the grounds of Standen House and Garden and Scotney Castle, or even enjoy an afternoon spent roaming the pristine landscapes of Penshurst Place & Gardens, an outstanding manor house that hosts regular events and farmers’ markets.

With the Kent Downs AONB also within reach, don your walking boots to explore the Conningbrook Lakes Country Park, the Wye Downs Nature Reserve and Bluebell National Forest, before enjoying the attractions found in Ashford, Canterbury, and Maidstone.

Resting between Crawley to the west, and Royal Tunbridge Wells to the east lies the large village of Dormansland. Located in Surrey, within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this settlement was founded in the 19th century, and is best known as the setting of Dormans Park. Within Dormansland, visitors can stock up on homely essentials at the post office before sitting down to enjoy a sit down meal at The Plough Inn, The Royal Oak, or the Old House at Home.
