  • "We had a lovely time."

The cottage was in a beautiful setting and the cottage itself was beautiful. It was a very handy location for getting to places, ie the coast, Canterbury, etc. Lots of National Trusts and castles and suchlike nearby. Parking was easy. The host gave us a welcome pack which was lovely and included wine! I recommend this cottage.

  • "We had such a lovely stay at Blackbird Cottage."

It’s a beautiful property, well equipped throughout and so much character. The owners are so friendly and close by to help, give advice on places to visit etc and are very friendly and approachable. I had my two children with me who enjoyed the beautiful garden and games provided. Not far from the beaches, Dover, and Folkestone. We will definitely be coming back.

A lot of effort put in by Paul and Linda, the owners to ensure our holiday was one to remember. We especially liked the welcome luxury food and drink tray- very much appreciated.

Very clean cottage. Great host. Taking a shower was a little bit of a challenge because of the size of the cubicle. Very much appreciated welcome pack after a long journey. A beautiful part of the country to our surprise.

  • "A very well kept accommodation, would return without thinking of looking elsewhere if coming that way as finding better would be very unlikely, nice helpful hosts as well, the location is in the middle of lots of places you might want to visit or if you just want to sit and unwind it is perfect for that in a splendidly well kept garden."

Choice of pubs serving meals a five minute drive away, a bus service stopping on demand almost at your front door as well. All in all couldn’t be happier with my choice

The Cottage, a beautifully restored thatched Barn dating back many Centuries was warm spacious and comfortable with all the kit you need for a great holiday. Although the weather was not at its best we were out every day visiting Dover Castle, the RSPB at Dungeness, the Historic Dockyard at Chatham, the Gin Distillery in Maidstone as well as a day trip to France. We took the Bus to Canterbury for its Christmas market and enjoyed a lovely day in this historic city. The only fault/observation is the shower unit which is small and difficult to get in and out of Paul and Linda are excellent hosts. Always on hand but not obtrusive. The “Welcome Pack” Is over and above what I would expect and very much appreciated. The garden is just the ideal place to unwind and relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea.
