  • "We had a lovely week staying in Six Acres house."

The setting is peaceful and relaxed and the house has all the amenities, lots of interesting books and very comfy beds. It was well located for visits to Lamb House, Great Dixter, Smallhythe Place and Bodiam Castle and an excellent Sunday lunch at The Ewe & Lamb in Rolvenden. We would happily stay here again.

  • "The water gets too hot very quickly which could lead to a scalding incident especially with young children."

In the kitchen some basic equipment was missing like the rack in the oven to be able to grill. The tray in the oven had food residue in it when we arrived. We tried ringing the owner and it went to answer machine which was never replied too.Overall it was a lovely cottage in a beautiful area

  • "Excellent holiday property as described, exceptionally large and comfortable kitchen."

Superb wet room, that we all used. Good wrap round garden, secure for dogs, shame we did not have the weather to enjoy it. Asked for a tea pot supplied immediately. Clear information before hand, impossible to see how anybody could turn up on the wrong day.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. You have been great guests and you are welcome back any time in the future. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week in Six Acres House, it's spacious, very peaceful and private."

It has a Bohemian feel about it and is full of antique quirky furnishings as well as eclectic crockery and cutlery, we loved that. I did find the settee and seating in the sitting room uncomfortable but as l didn't spend much time in there it wouldn't put me off rebooking and l'm sure we will.

  • "The cottage was lovely and clean, very comfortable."

My only concern was the lounge was quite dark, I feel it needed a couple of table lamps. It would also benefit with having a coffee table, there was no where to put your mug of tea.

  • "We enjoyed our stay really nice place, the only drawback is that it is well out of the way of any local facilities."

For some people this would be a plus anyway.

We has a great holiday and would go back again. Only one thing, we couldn't get the extractor to work in the wet room.

  • "I stayed at Six Acres House with my two adult children and their partners where we had a lovely relaxing time in beautiful countryside."

We walked to Great Dixter from the cottage along footpaths. The Tillingham vinery is nearby and well worth a visit. Rye and Hastings are a short drive away. The house itself was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen with a large table and a living room with a huge television. There were numerous bookcases full of very interesting books. There are plenty of places to sit in the garden at all times of day as the sun moves around.

Thank you for wonderful feedback. We are glad you have had a relaxing holiday. We hope you will visit us again Property Owner

To much clutter no microwave door handles and locks on doors need attention some light not working cupboard full of food left need blind on downstairs shower room

Thank you for your review, We apologies that some small aspects of the house were not as described. Our intention is for all guest to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. Unfortunately as you arrived 3 hours before the check in time of 3pm our housekeepers were not been able to complete all their tasks, such as check in on lights. We have now changed the bulbs of the small wall lights. The main lights, were all working as normal. There is a cupboard with some food tins, this is left out of the way but available if required by guests. We also leave herbs/spices and some condiments to help guests facilitate cooking. If your reference to the clutter is the books and some items on the shelves, we left them there with a purpose. Most of the guests are happy with experience of having significant library available to them in the house. This is of course question of preference. The bathroom door do not have locks, as a knock on the door to establish if someone is in the bathroom has always sufficed. Downstairs shower room is not overlooked and is secluded, which is why it does not have window blinds. Best wishes Ana Property Owner
