"The cottage was really lovely, comfortable and warm."
The owner was gracious and helpful. They even provided covers for the settee’s so your dog Can sit on the settee with you if this is what you want. We loved our stay and have booked again for next year. There was everything you would need, right down to a bottle of water in every room. Milk, eggs, orange juice and a lovely cake for us on arrival.

"Such a peaceful and relaxing place to stay."
Very comfortable with plenty of room. Everything you could need provided. Helpful and friendly owners easily available, if needed. We were lucky enough to have a full week of sunshine and normally would have run out of things to do, but still didn't quite fit everything in. The wildlife park at Port Lympe is worth a visit, whilst Canterbury Cathedral and Dover Castle are not far away, both wonderful. The last time I travelled on the Romney & Dymchurch miniature railway was 70 years ago, so that was good to do again. We thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Great for dog owners with walks from doorstep and good very dog friendly pub only 100 yards away. Comfortable bedrooms and good showers in a well located peaceful village, which is close enough to many points of interest and both woodland and beach walks.

About the location
HAMSTREET
Ivychurch 4.3 miles; West Hythe 8.8 miles; Ashford 9 miles.
The village of Hamstreet lies 6 miles south of Ashford on the A road between Ashford and Hastings. Until the coming of the railway in 1853, Hamstreet was just a hamlet known as ‘Ham’ based around the village centre which contains many buildings in the traditional Kentish weatherboard style. Today, the village is known for offering a selection of independent shops, cafés, a convenience store, a pub and an Indian restaurant. Surrounding the village are two large areas of public woodland, namely Ham Street Woods and Orlestone Forest, which are both regarded as Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Nearby, the villages of Appledore, Ivychurch and Kingsnorth offers a wealth of history and culture, along with some fascinating attractions.
