  • "Cosy comfortable warm caravan with everything needed."

Location was fine to access places around and a bus service just down the road for Workington & Keswick to link other places One point, beware of the slippy decking if wet!

  • "Information provided was absolutely spot on."

We would go on to say, that in comparison to other accommodation of a similar type that we have stayed at, it was very generously equipped, we wanted for nothing. Location was superb. Very central to this area of the Lake District that we had not visited before alongwith the surrounding Towns. A mention has to be made about the chap(sorry unable to recall his name) in Reception who very warmly and comically, received us in at the Holiday Park.

  • "The caravan was modern and very clean."

It was extremely well stocked with everyday items. I very much liked how the utensil draw was so very neatly placed. Knife rack was very handy on top of work surface. The kitchen was easy to navigate. Shower & toilet were very clean & how I like it home from home. There are leaflets to look through for takeaway & places of interest. Books to read & dvds to watch. I thought a nice homely touch. The main bedroom was well organised as in storage. There are even usb plugs fitted in sockets! Our only issues were the settees are uncomfortable. Just when you want to wind down in the evening we found them so hard & the decking was very slippy. Other than that great!

Thank you for the feedback. I have bought some mats for the decking for the winter and am aware that the settees are a bit hard. I’m trying to think of a solution Property Owner

Only down side there’s nowhere for children to play, ie play area and nearest shop is 2.2 miles away(cockermouth).

Whilst in close proximity to other caravans it is situated at the end of a track so has very little disturbance or passing traffic. I would highly recommend this as a destination offering good value

  • "Beautifully presented property with ALL essential equipment and facilities."

Very comfortable stay on a secluded and very private and well kept site. (Never met the site manager). Instructions for TV ( could not find normal BBC/ ITV channels) and electric fire (manual operations would not override settings) are required. Only things missing (as other guests had stated were provided) were our bottle of wine and carton of milk!!! Otherwise, happy bunnies.

I’m so sorry about that. We recently employed a cleaning company and they were supposed to put wine and milk in. I have now employed a private cleaner and am confident she will give it her all Property Owner

Clean. Well equipped. Brilliant location. Plenty of things to do/visit (as you expect in the lakes) The only thing and it is the only thing and it’s just personal preference… maybe a small table light would go well in the living room area for evening time. Will be staying again possibly May 2024

  • "We absolutely loved the caravan."

The place was fully equipped with great amenities and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the fact that it was a quiet area meaning you could really relax and enjoy nature. We appreciate Mr Burlington’s great hospitality and communication. He made sure we could reach him if we need any help or have any questions. There was plenty of places to visit at close proximity like the Wellington farm, however this isn’t pet friendly. The Lowther Castle and garden is quite a drive but worth it if you’re into site seeing and history. They have a nice cafe and the whole place is pet friendly apart from the children’s playground area! We will definitely go back again to stay here - Thank you :)

  • "We loved the accommodation."

So clean and comfortable considering it was pet friendly. Wine and milk lovely touch. The only thing that let our break down was Brigham holiday park. It states its pet friendly, however, dogs were mot allowed to go onto the grassed area on the park. I know it was a manicured area but that meant there was no where for your pet to go to the toilet or to stretch his legs. The only place was behind the caravan which put stress on us all. There wasn't anywhere in the immediate area, nor outside of the park where pets can stretch their legs. We have a border collie and the only place we could take him for good exercise was a beach. So for that reason I think the park should mot be classed as pet friendly. Cannot fault the accommodation!

  • "It is clearly a new caravan, with new furniture and utensils, and I would confidently say we were one of the earlier occupants of this caravan."

Which is why the property seemed so lovely when we first arrived, but after we'd settled in we realised this wasn't the case, due to the dreadfully poor level of basic cleaning skills that the owners must have. It seems that as time goes on, this place is only going to get more unclean as people come and go, I feel sorry for whoever stays at this property in the future. The caravan was not clean and we provided plenty of photographic evidence, and one of the owners even came to see, but they still insist that the disgusting amount of dog hairs found in every inch of the caravan and that the unpleasant odour must have "entered the property when the windows and doors were opened." My partner and I love dogs, and appreciate that when staying in a property that allows pets you expect to find some stray hairs here and there, but not this amount. It makes you worry about the other areas that haven't been cleaned well, so we spent the first day of our first holiday in 2 years cleaning! We are fed up with the owners of the property, and Sykes. We are shocked that they both are ignoring the blatant evidence of dog hairs in so many areas both in plain sight and in crevices such as in the shower and on top of the toilet seat - Which I must add, the owner claims to have "polished". All we'd like at this point is a sincere apology, but even that seems to difficult to get. Don't stay here. Don't stay at any property through Sykes. They'll take your money and ignore your comments.

  • "The site is very quite and made up of holiday lets and residential vans, ours was between residents but they were very helpful and friendly."

The van was immaculately clean on arrival and the milk and wine in the fridge was a nice touch. Mobile phone signal is not the best but we found the best place was on the front outside decking. The WIFI signal was also very good. The beds were very comfy but we did find the settees in the lounge a little on the hard side but managed quite well for a weeks holiday. The van is very well equipped with good quality kitchen items the only thing missing was a potato masher. If you take your dog along as we did there are no dog walks in the immediate vicinity but the walk along the country road outside the site sufficed had we not gone out for the day. We would defiantly stay again should we be that way .
