"We found Billy's very warm and comfortable."
The only issue was that the bathroom door would not shut at all. We reported this and were told it is going to be sorted out. We used the garden chairs and enjoyed the garden. Billy's is well situated for exploring the coast and lakes. We look forward to staying at Billy's again.

"Lovely cottage."
Everything you need in there. A bit out of the way from everything so you'll need a car but would stay again x

"Billy's Cottage was a delight, spotless clean, very well presented everything you needed, well equipped kitchen."
Lovely comfy king size bed. My dogs enjoyed having a garden ,we live in a flat .The stairs to the bedrooms are steep so not suitable if you have mobility problem, but that goes with the cottage how it was built. We had a lovely stay and would definitely book again.

"There was an unusual unclean/stale smell every time returning back to the property from being out."
There was no hand soap available in the bathroom. The bathroom has mould, cracked sealant and gaps around the bathtub. The door does not close and the lock is just for show. The sofas and furnishings were tired and carpet had multiple stains on. The front door leaked in when it rained. The carpet on the stairs is coming away near the bottom. The fire alarm battery needed changed (as it was beeping repeatedly). So we took it down and noticed it wasn't a hard wired alarm and had a replacement date that had expired. Furthermore, we both experienced a case of bed bugs bites. We didn't raise anything with the owners as for us, we were out most of the day most days. And for how long we were staying it 'served a purpose' of giving us a roof. The cost for what we got is saddening as the cost doesn't reflect the quality of the rental by a country mile. The paintwork and general upkeep and maintenance of the property is severely lacking and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here. Id appreciate a refund but doubt that will happen so will have to chalk it up to a bad experience and be cautious of Skye's other rentals on the site.

"Billy's cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay."
A modern and stylish kitchen which is well stocked with all the cutlery, crockery and glassware you will need. Two double bedrooms, with comfy beds and decent sized bathroom. Very clean throughout, however some fixtures and fittings did need some attention. Would definitely stay here again, we had a lovely stay.

"Very nice cottage."
Good location. Well equipped and would recommend and stay again

"Lovely little property, has been developed to good standard, we stayed there whilst visiting relatives in the area."
Very clean and comfortable with everything needed, may well use again. Spot on thankyou.

"We found Billy's cottage clean and tidy and very welcoming."
The kitchen is modern and well stocked with all utensils with a dining table and 4 chairs. The 2 bedrooms are a good size, one to the front and one to the rear and both very comfortable. The bathroom is at the bottom of the stairs adjacent to the kitchen and adequate. The only downside is the stairs are very steep, it was fine for us but could be a problem if you have mobility issues. Having never visited the area before the cottage was central to areas like Keswick and Whitehaven, approx 30 mins, Maryport is 5 minutes by car and the beach at Alo by 10 mins, we spent every morning on the beach with the dogs. I can thoroughly recommend Billy's Cottage and we will certainly return

Spotless clean, comfortable beds, impressive equipped kitchen. Vicky was an angel, so kind and helpful. Really grateful for everything, couldn't be better.

"Our stay at Billy’s Cottage could not have been better!"
The property was warm, clean and inviting. Every last detail had been thought of with plenty of towels, tea towels and cleaning/washing supplies available for us to use. The tea, coffee, sugar and milk ready and waiting in the fridge was a pleasure to arrive to after a long drive. The instruction booklet provided was informative and provided us with everything we needed to know about the property. The beds were comfortable and the room were well sized with plenty of storage for our clothes during the week. The view from the garden was stunning (even in the poor weather)! Literally everything had been thought of! Cannot fault this place at all, fantastic stay and cannot wait to book again ☺️

"On entering the cottage we were presented with a lovely warm ,clean, fresh smelling cottage."
Our stay for the week was very comfortable it was like home from home, everything you needed was available, there was constant hot water which was great after a long wet, cold walk. We slept in the front bedroom overlooking the road which we had no issues with we slept soundly every night and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Billy’s cottage and stay again when visiting the Lake District.

"The cottage was lovely."
We felt right at home the minute we walked through the door. It was warm, clean and we felt safe. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our evening meals. The beds were very comfortable. However the stairs are as steep as described
-
"Good base for exploring the area."
Updates needed to local pubs nearest two were closed. Some dampness in bathroom area could do with updating . Very well equipped cottage but very steep stairs if you have mobility issues. Two power cuts beyond anyone's control maybe have some candles available in future. Overall a most enjoyable stay would recommend this cottage.

"Had a fantastic week at Billy's cottage Was situated close to amenities and cockermouth."
The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and a very comfortable stay. The lakes are absolutely stunning and we thoughrly enjoyed our holiday.
-
"The cottage was lovely and as described and it was also very well-equipped with everything we needed."
The only point I would make us that the stairs to the upper floor are very steep. It wasn’t a problem for us but I would think carefully about this particular cottage if you have mobility issues or young children. We found plenty to do in the local area during our week’s stay and had a very enjoyable stay. The pie shop round the corner (Cottage Pie) was excellent and they do filled rolls as well.
-
"A great little cottage with everything provided with a nice little patio in the back garden."
A well stocked kitchen and comfy sitting room. Mind as advertised the stairs are very steep . A nice handy location for trips either into the Lakes or out to the coast. The village has a well stocked shop within the garage which is just a short walk from the cottage. There is also a pie shop just around the corner although we never got chance to try it.. This is a cottage that we would put on our "return to " list.

Super comfy beds, kitchen was well stocked with quality crockery and any thing you would need. The towels were soft and large .a pleasant little garden to sit in.you can park right outside which is a bonus.we certainly would book the cottage again when visiting Maryport ,which is a very short drive. The wine and milk was a nice surprise thank you.
-
"Lovely to find a pint of milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge."
Cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you would need. A great base for exploring the Western Lakes The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was the very steep stairs but that just me
-
"Great Stay We had a great 3 night stay at Billy’s Cottage."
Very charming and Very very clean throughout the cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Quiet area. Visited a few local tourist attractions. Great for dog walking, ours enjoyed herself very much. Pubs, shops on your doorstep with a nice pie shop just around the corner. Wine and milk was a nice surprise. Would be happy to stay here again

"Billy’s cottage provided a warm and comfortable base for exploring the Western Lakes and the Cumbrian Coast."
Communication with the owners was excellent and Vicky was on hand for assistance should we have needed any. Very well equipped for self catering ,immaculate and welcoming on our arrival. Wine and milk an added bonus. Dog friendly area and property. We have had a fantastic few days where weather was kind for February!! Would have no hesitation in recommending Billy’s Cottage and would certainly look to return at some future date.

"Billy’s Cottage is a great place for holiday."
Close to the mountains and seaside, very convenient. Cottage, although small, was nice and cosy and Sparkling clean. Host provided everything needed for guests, and Vicky went above and beyond so we could feel comfortable and lack nothing. One of the best holidays we had despite raining for most days:)

"We stayed in Billy's cottage for a week."
The place was clean and well equipped and very cosy. We have 2 dogs and there were spare bowls and poo bags available. Not ultra modern but more cottage vibes as described. The stairs are steep but again it was in the description. I personally was not keen on the induction hob and struggled a bit with it but we didn't cook much. It did work, I just couldn't get my head around it properly. The kitchen was very well equipped. The place is just far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough not to be remote. There are shops close by and an amazing pie shop round the corner. We found it very easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit, the location for us was ideal. We loved it there and would love to visit again.
-
"A fantastic little cottage."
Cosy and well equipped in a good location. The back garden fence was low and my springer spaniels kept jumping out but this problem was fixed within an hour so no more problems. Loved our holiday there.
-
"Really lovely cottage, enjoyed sitting out in the garden and watching the birds."
Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas and beds and plenty of towels provided. Very handy location, we have fallen in love with the area, particularly Maryport, Allonby and Silloth. We will be back next year.
-
"Lovely house well equipped kitchen area."
Bedrooms and bathroom good but thought the furniture in the living room let the property down. Would stay again though
-
"Lovely cottage that was like a home from home."
The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need so it was very comfortable. Extremely comfy beds . Enclosed garden was well used by us and our dog . Great base for exploring the local area. Welcome bottle of wine milk etc was a lovely touch . Would definitely stay again
