"We enjoyed every day of our week at Waterloo Street, the cottage is spacious, very well equipped, clean and comfortable."
Set just behind the park and river side walk and also close to all shops and restaurants. The owner of the property was very welcoming and helpful. We will go back to stay. Got the holiday we wanted.

"A fabulous Stay."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No. 2 Waterloo Street. It was so comfortable, clean, modern and decorated beautifully. Having the outside space was great. It had everything we needed, including lots of kitchen equipment and cleaning materials. The location is so close to the centre of Cockermouth, with shops and restaurants just a short walk. It was also so peaceful with no traffic noise as it’s in a no-through road. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for making our stay a great one.

"Lovely property."
Clean, bright and comfortable. Nicely decorated. Lots of thoughtful wee details, from a big bag of ice (so welcome with the heat), to milk, bread and other essentials like toiletries. A real home from home. In central but quiet Cockermouth location on quaint street; lots of things within walking distance; river, Wordsworth’s house, castle, brewery, independent shops.

"We really enjoyed our stay at No."
2 Waterloo. All the little extra touches were lovely. Great location, a clean and beautifully presented home. Managed to get parking on the street. Loved having a courtyard especially in this beautiful weather.

"This lovely little house was immaculate in its cleanliness & we enjoyed a great stay."
The host helps provide parking permits which also helped! The little yard area was glorious in the sunshine, and a perfect little sun trap! 10/10, would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay!

About the location
COCKERMOUTH
Bassenthwaite Lake 7 miles; Keswick 13 miles.
The small country market town of Cockermouth is situated in the quiet north-western part of the Lake District, a largely undiscovered and unspoilt area, yet only 13 miles from Keswick. The town is famous as the birthplace of both William Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (of Mutiny on the Bounty fame) and Wordsworth’s Georgian family home, on the main street, is now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust. Cockermouth offers a good variety of shops, pubs and places to eat, but (of course) the main attraction of the area is the beautiful scenery and excellent walking in the northern lakes – Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water and Derwent Water.
