to support our owners to be more sustainable.
The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,
waste reduction and promoting inclusiveness. They are on a mission to become the most widely
recognised sustainability standard for holiday rentals and a catalyst to reduce emissions of holiday
lets and influence guests to reduce their own household consumption too.
Properties that display the Sustonica badge have successfully passed the criteria,
which align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards,
and their owner has made a commitment to look after our planet as well as you.
Beautiful property, super clean, well located, excellent amenities and an EV charger! We absolutely love this property and will be back.
Not criticisms of property as it’s beautifullly appointed, hosts are great and it has more amenities than any other cottage we’ve stayed in but some things to note if you’re coming with young kids:
- the travel cot is likely better for younger less mobile infants. If you have a kid that’s pulling up or moving, it may be better to bring your own.
- the high chair is the Red Kite one that’s often provided at holiday cottages and has quite a recline on it that better suits older toddlers. Our son can sit absolutely fine, but needed a bit of support not to slump back. We used a cushion. The inflatable insert for ikea high chairs would be a good shout to pack.
The above aren’t criticisms at all, just tips for any fellow parents looking at what they’d need to pack.
Absolutely wonderful cottage. Can’t wait for our next stay.

It is perfect in terms of the property, the facilities and the location. The EV charging is a real bonus and the revised layout at the back of the property makes it much easier to park our car.
We have been coming to properties in the Lakes for 40+ years and this is definitely the best!

"This was one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed at, im not sure there was anything missing in the kitchen!"
The back porch drying room was ingenious, and very welcome as it was a very wet new year! It was a lovely cottage to relax and spend time with the family. The upside down house meant you had fantastic viewsnof the fells. We did lots of walks from the cottage (Skiddaw, Stone Circle, Cat Bells, High Seat, Friars Crag) and didnt need to drive anywhere. The house is in a really central location (5 to 10 mins walk to Coop and Booths) but in a quiet cul de sac. Loads of places to eat out and have a drink. The EV charger was very welcome too! Room for 2 cars and bikes in a shed.

"This is a beautiful holiday home, really the highest standard we have stayed in."
The large open plan living area is upstairs making the most of the fantastic views. All the appliances are of the best quality and there was plenty of crockery and cutlery. The curtains in all of the bedrooms kept out the light....this is a first out of the holiday lets we have stayed in. It is also in a very convenient and quiet location, a short walk to shops , Fitz Park and the centre of town and the Lake.

The comfort, standard of finish, facilities, location and attention from the owners was superb.
Having an EV charger, a lockable bike storage and ease of parking were great assets for us.

Some other lovely walks from the house without the need to use the car. The house had all the facilities we could require and was very well presented. Good parking for 2 cars and easy access to routes for Windermere and surrounding areas. Very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again if going back to Keswick.

"We had a lovely family holiday at Fell View."
The owner was really helpful in clarifying a few points before we travelled, which was useful for figuring out what to pack. The property itself was clean and beautifully decorated, as well as being very well equipped. We'd initially had concerns about the upside-down layout with a toddler near the top of the stairs, but it turned out there was a stairgate that made it completely safe. The location was fantastic, only a short walk into Keswick centre. Really hoping we can manage to visit again one day as we've got some great memories from our stay.

"Fantastic house for a stay in the Lake District."
A 5 minute walk to the centre of Keswick, with plenty of walks available from the doorstep.
Lots of space for everyone (4 of us) Very clean, comfortable and cosy. Good kitchen facilities, dining area and lounge. Lovely views of the hills from all sides of the property.
Excellent layout downstairs and tiled flooring meant that coming in with muddy boots and wet clothing was not a problem!
Parking is tight, so check beforehand if you have more than one car.

"We recently spent a week at Fell View."
It is well positioned for walking in and out of Keswick town centre. Parking is easy and off road, the little garden offers a place to sit out and the house offers family space that is both modern and comfortable. The views from the living floor are superb and throughout the house the spec is of high quality. The owners have thought of every detail to provide a very happy holiday. Our family would definitely recommend and hope to return.

"This is a truly luxurious property - and the pictures don’t fully do it justice: the open kitchen/dining/living space is vast and with windows on three sides, it feels really light and airy."
All the amenities are of the highest quality and there are many thoughtful touches throughout, eg. the supersized map in the hall which is a real feature. We loved spending a (very sunny!) week in Keswick at Fell View and would not want to stay anywhere else now when we return to the Lakes.

The house was beautifully furnished, spotless, very up to date and extremely well equipped. It was also cosy and welcoming and perfect to return home to after a day's walking or other activity. Although amidst other houses the area was very quiet but within easy walking distance of the town and all its amenities. We would most definitely go back.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
