"Clean comfortable property in an ideal location for parks, shops and eateries."

"This really is a fabulous property snd we hope to stay here again."
We were quite concerned when we received the joining instructions. These indicated difficult access via a steep hill and little lighting at night. To anyone else concerned, don't worry, it is nowhere as difficult as it reads. However, we did prefer using Stanger Street as access. We parked our car in the allocated space immediately behind the house and didn't need to use it until going home. The property is in a great location, very quiet area but so close to the town centre. We enjoyed the fabulous views and sat outside in the back garden until sunset. We found there was plenty of room inside for us - a couple. We closed the blinds and curtains and enjoyed warm cosy evenings inside. We appreciated the calm and restful decor, comfortable beds, and sofas. We found the kitchen well kitted out, quality utensils and appliances and the toaster is the same as we have at home. I have honestly never stayed in a property with as many electric sockets - so convenient. We loved staying here and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We will take a look at the information provided to ensure that it is correct. We are pleased that you enjoyed the views, and found the property to be calm and cosy. We hope to welcome you to The Lakes again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"This is a well located property very close to the town centre."
It has some lovely views, a good shower and comfortable beds. It was clean but not spotless. Plenty of space for the 3 of us that stayed. A nice cottage but overall feels a bit sparse and lacking in comfort. The sofas are a bit too small to relax fully on. The tile floor in the living room is functional but the lack of a fire makes it feel quite cold in there especially when it’s raining! The towels were small and the toaster is not very good. A full length mirror and somewhere to do hair and makeup would have been nice. We wouldn’t stay again but it was fine and we enjoyed our week.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your week in Millbank. As the previous 100% reviews show most people very much enjoy their time relaxing so close to town and the amenities that Keswick has. Sorry that the sofas did not suit - we are continually making improvements - the latest being the garden upgrade and new pictures. Heating is controllable at all times from the Nest Controller (even remotely) so we certainly want no-one to be cold! Best Regards Felicity and Andrew Property Owner

"Lovely property in excellent location with added bonus of private parking."
Plenty of internal space for our party of four, comfortable beds, clean throughout, excellent shower and good kitchen area. Enjoyed our stay here and would definitely look to rebook when we next return to Keswick.

"1 Millbank is the perfect accommodation for a family looking to explore Keswick and the surrounding area."
The whole place was clean and bright and the beds very comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and I would book again myself.

"An amazing property and ideal for us."
Located centrally in Keswick but really quiet with the added bonus of parking. Very comfortable and also with an outside garden for the good weather. Everything was high quality. Definitely would stay again. Could benefit from a vegetable peeler, cheese grater and a larger saucepan.
Thanks for your kind feedback - we are really pleased that you enjoyed the stay at Millbank - we really like it's elevated position in a quiet part of town. We will be sure to add the items you mentioned in our visit next month - and thank you for pointing this out. Best Regards Felicity and Andrew Property Owner

"We can’t recommend this property highly enough!"
The huge bonuses are the locality (almost in the town centre), and a large parking space behind the house. The views from all windows are superb. The open plan ground floor is spacious & everything you need is provided. The shower is powerful, the beds are very comfortable and my wife was happy that all rooms had wardrobes! We won’t hesitate to book again and have already recommended 1 Millbank to friends.
Thanks for your kind feedback and pleased you enjoyed your stay. We did indeed buy Millbank as it is a quiet part of town with great views of the fells but less than 2 minutes walk to Fitz Park and less than 4 minutes walk to the centre of town! We do hope that you visit us again...... Best Regards Felicity and Andrew Property Owner

"We stayed at One Millbank from 13th-20th April and loved our stay there."
We have stayed in other properties and we felt this property by far surpassed them. The location was amazing with fantastic views from the windows front & back. The house is so close to the town center but far enough away to not hear any noise only bird song, it's also perfect for walking and forgetting about your car for the week. There is a designated parking space directly at the back of the property and the house is accessible via the rear gate which is great for loading & unloading. The property was clean and beautifully decorated and furnished throughout, it had a great TV and choice of channels and a good shower in main bathroom. We made a couple of suggestions on ways to improve the property and the comments were appreciated and are being fulfilled. There were only two of us staying here so the dining table was more than big enough for us to eat at one end and do a jigsaw at the other! This is a great house in a great location and would definitely recommend it to others.
Thanks for your kind feedback and we are indeed making a couple of enhancements following your comments. Best Regards Felicity and Andrew Property Owner

"We liked the proximity of the house to the town centre."
It was very clean and freshly decorated. We would have preferred a bath. The double bed in the back bedroom seemed a little small. It was VERY squeaky and creaky. The synthetic bedding meant that we constantly woke up during the night, very hot and sweating. Poor quality kitchen utensils meant that we didn't cook as much as we would have liked e.g. knives not sharp, frying pan with non stick coating flaking off.
Thanks for your feedback - we are obviously surprised and disappointed by your low scores (far lower than any others we have ever had). FYI We never planned to have a bath and we have quality double beds (standard size). Any maintenance issues are dealt with promptly if you raise them with us or the local office - we want our guests to have a great experience in this beautiful town and the surrounding countryside. "1 Millbank was one of the best cottages we've stayed in (and we have been visiting the Lakes for nearly 30 years)."
It was clean and comfortable. Nice white fluffy towels, soft, warm beds. The heating was easy to notch up a bit when you came in cold and wet after a long walk. The shower was good too - walk in and hot and powerful enough to wash long hair (often a problem in the past). A dedicated parking spot behind the house was fantastic - being able to go out on a long walk e.g Haweswater, knowing that when you got back you could park up. Free WIFI too. The cottage was a brilliant base for either walking straight from the cottage over to Catbells or for longer day out. You are less than five minutes from the pubs, restaurants and shops and two minutes from Fitz Park. A lovely bottle of wine as a welcome gift. What more could you ask for? Thank you Felicity and Andrew - we would certainly book again.
Many thanks for your great feedback - it has taken a lot of effort to get 1 Millbank up and running in the last year but we are trying to keep the quality as high as possible. Your feedback makes it worthwhile and we hope you will come again Best Regards Felicity and Andrew Property Owner
