  • "This is a very nice townhouse over three floors in fairly central Keswick, and accommodated 11 family members this October half term very comfortably."

Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad your family enjoyed their stay at our Keswick townhouse. We hope to host you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "What a gorgeous property."

Beautiful decor, well proportioned rooms. Lovely that all the rooms were so nice and there was no scramble for the best! Great facilities, perfectly clean and really good location. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We appreciate your recommendation. We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner

  • "Fantastic comfortable well equipped house."

Spotlessly clean. Great facilities. Really enjoyed our stay. Great location. Quiet no noise but only a ten miutes max walk to town centre. Having a hot tub is fabulous. Only very minor thing back garden with hot tub is not at all secure for even a small dog. But this would not prevent me from staying here again.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We'll look into the security of the backyard for future guests. We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner

  • "Generally happy with our stay but a few things could have made it much better; The number of coat hooks and shoe storage area is inadequate for the number of beds."

There is simply not enough space for drying wet things out, particularly walking stuff. The mattresses felt thin and uncomfortable. The amount of cutlery and crockery was brilliant, but the cookware was inadequate for number of guests and some of it (frying pan especially) was really poor quality. The arrangement of the top floor needs reconsidering - I stayed in the double room with the sloping ceiling and there is just not enough space to get around the bed. By the end of the week I felt like I had been permanently bent over, and despite this had hit my head on the low ceiling numerous times. One of our party is in a wheelchair and the description of the ground floor room says "en-suite walk-in shower". It is not a walk-in - it is on a raised plinth with a door. Fortunately the Calvert Trust have showers at their pool.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. We're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with the room. We'll take your suggestions into consideration for future improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Responsive and understanding owner, cleaners and maintenance team."

Excellent communicators. Managed expectations well. High quality home, with all necessary facilities. Very well set up. Good views from top floor. Character home with charm. Hot tub lots of fun. Only thing I could think to suggest would be a slightly bigger fridge for a large group!

Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

The rooms are very spacious and there’s plenty to do. I had the best time

Absolutely thrilled you had the best time! So glad to hear you loved the house - it really is a stunner, right? • "My family and I stayed for my father’s 60th birthday."

The house was beautifully presented, perfect location (short walk away from the main high street in Keswick) and was very clean and tidy. We did find the mattresses were too soft which disturbed sleep but that is personal preference. There is plenty of room to sit and relax and have your meals and the tv room was great for the kids! Who also loved the hot tub which was clean.

Thank you so much for staying! I'm delighted you enjoyed the location and the house itself. Everyone's comfort is important, so I appreciate the feedback about the mattresses, although we have been told by many other guests that they are super comfortable, so this is likely personal preference as you said. So glad the hot tub and TV room were hits with the kids! Happy 60th to your father as well! Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay at Cranford House, plenty of room for a group of 11 girls - bedrooms were spacious and shower/bathroom facilities were great."

The big fridge/freezer and 2 ovens were really helpful when preparing food for everyone. The house had everything we needed and only a short walk into Keswick for a meal after a big day out walking. The hot tub was brilliant, although access to this is by the side of the house and a public walkway so you have to be quick getting in. We found parking on the street fine. Overall, we would definetly recommend and stay again. Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a fantastic review of Cranford House! We're delighted to hear you had a wonderful stay with your group. It's great to know the house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, especially with a large group. We're glad the hot tub was a highlight, though maybe a good tip for future guests about access! We appreciate you letting us know about street parking as well. We would love to welcome you back again to Cranford House sometime soon. Thanks again, The Cranford House Team Property Owner

The house is outstanding and in an ideal location just a few minutes walk from the main street of Keswick. Spotlessly clean and very well decorated. Loads of space with a big living room, dining room and kitchen to go with the 7 bedrooms. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! I would definitely recommend using this property if you plan to visit the area in a larger group.

It's comfortably furnished, well proportioned, ideal for large groups and near the centre of Keswick. The house has been recently renovated to a high standard. Our party comprised of 8 adults, 4 children, a baby and a dog. Everyone fitted in and felt comfortable. We had a couple of small issues which were promptly dealt with by our contact Sarah. We would stay there again.

  • "We were supposed to stay somewhere else but the landlord changed the room configuration which wouldn’t have worked for our group."

The good news is that we were offered Cranford House! This was exactly what we had been looking for and all of us were extremely happy. We were a family group of two elderly parents, adults, teens and dogs. All of us were well catered for. The house has great character and is large, spotlessly clean, in an excellent position and had everything we could wish for. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils. Plenty of bedding, hot water and great space for cooking and dining. Downstairs en suite bedroom was ideal for grandparents. A short walk to shops and we were able to park on the road without hassle. Also a short walk to Fitz Park. Thank you to the host and I am sure we will return

It was a pleasure to meet you and your family! We're so happy Cranford House worked out perfectly for your group, especially after the initial change of plans. We understand the importance of comfortable accommodations for all ages, and we're thrilled the house had everything you needed – from ample space to a well-equipped kitchen. Thank you for the kind words about the location and amenities. We strive to make our guests feel right at home, and it sounds like you certainly did. We hope you all had a wonderful stay, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Property Owner

  • "Stayed at Cranford House for a 3 day weekend along with our two children, their partners and our five grandchildren (aged 12 to 20) eleven people altogether."

Cranford House was beautiful, the photographs were very accurate, the beds were comfortable and benefited from en-suite in five of the seven bedrooms, there was also a lovely bathroom with separate shower, there was plenty of seating in the dining room and lounge for everyone and we spent the evenings playing board games and enjoying being able to be together as a family. Keswick town is only a short walk away, a fabulous market on Thursday and Saturday and there was plenty of choice for eating out if required, Keswick is a dog friendly town and they are welcomed in many shops. The hot tub was well used during our stay. The owner had left coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing tabs, pan scrubs and dish cloth (all of which I took because I expected to have to provide my own!). I would love to return to Cranford House.

Thank you for your direct feedback! We're thrilled that Cranford House met your expectations and provided a comfortable space for your family gathering. We're glad you enjoyed the amenities and nearby attractions. We'd be delighted to welcome you back anytime! Property Owner
