"Lovely apartment in the center of Keswick, car parking permit would have been useful."
-
"The apartment was slightly unusual to find as there is a black door on the street which just opens - this wasn’t clear in the instructions and we had to just push a door to see."
Upon entry the door does not have a key and is instead a passkey. As the door at the bottom of the stairs is not locked, this does make you feel a little vulnerable as the passkey is changed once a month rather than after every stay. I wouldn’t want to be a woman alone staying here. Be warned also, parking was a nightmare on the streets, they are very narrow and busy with cars parked everywhere so searching for a spot was difficult. The apartment was cleaned to a high standard but upon entry all of the lights were turned on. It wasn’t very environmentally friendly. The sofa wasn’t that comfortable for two people as it was slightly too narrow. (we are a smaller size so not sure how it would be for bigger people). The bathroom is quite small and narrow, but all the amenities within it were good. The kitchen was well kitted, although perhaps some more cupboard essentials would be nice - maybe some cooking oil, etc.. The TV was of good quality. Amenities in the area were not personally great, but think this was personal preferences. There was limited choice, especially as it was a busy weekend. If you want nicer food and not just pub/takeaway standard, it’s probably not for you. Overall the stay was fine, wouldn’t return to this property but that was personal preference - it might’ve been different if it wasn’t a three and a half hour journey each way as it didn’t feel worth all that drive.

"We really enjoyed our stay at High Spy ."
. Very cosy quiet and comfortable. Every amenity is on your doorstep .. restaurants ,shops, pubs and a lovely little cinema. There were a couple of items / issues that maybe the owner could consider .. Oven gloves , hot pan stands and hand towel for kitchen. The cord on the clothes dryer is not long enough once lowered. It would also be great if the owner considered a parking permit for Keswick Central car park .. These were minor things we loved the apartment and could have stayed another week .. Thanks

"High spy is beautifully finished and very cosy, in a great location in Keswick, with some nice views of Catbells over the rooftops."
On street parking nearby wasn't a problem during our stay, as we were always able to find a space. The only negative for us was the sofa, which looks lovely but is uncomfortable - I would definitely stay again if this gets replaced in future.

"We stayed in Keswick as a long weekend."
We normally stayed at cottages with family, but we chose differently this time without kids and dog. The High Spy was in very convenient location, everything was walking distance. We just went out for dinner so we didn’t cook, but looks fabulous kitchen facilities. (Maybe too modern for us though) The view from kitchen was great! As the advice where to park was good to know. The streets were busy all the time, but we managed to park somehow. We used corner shop just downstairs and local supermarket to get some breakfast and lunch for hiking. Although Indian restaurant was downstairs, and I thought it might be noisy at Saturday night, but we couldn’t hear anything. So peaceful stayed. Thank you very much for beautiful flat.

"The property was beautiful inside all furnishings were of a high standard bed was very comfortable, had to call housekeeping to say both hand towels were marked replaced very quickly."
Property was very clean . Communal staircase not very well looked after and did not like the fact that front door from Road was not to be locked at any time a lot of people entering the building until late at night, maybe a key pad could be fitted ??

"A great modern & spacious apartment, centrally located in Keswick yet very quiet & comfortable."
Fixtures & fittings were of a very high quality, clean & well maintained. As advertised it is street parking, which we had no issues with even though it was peak tourist time.
