  • "We had a lovely stay at Howe Keld, the apartment is lovely and the views are stunning."

We would definitely recommend to others considering the apartment for a holiday. The only feedback we would give is that there are not enough mugs in the property. I know there are lots of colourful ones hung up but they are not big enough for a decent tea/coffee and we found that 4 of the larger grey mugs was not enough, especially when my parents visited us one day. Also we had wondered why you don’t put a double that splits in to twin beds in the second bedroom? Our children were able to share this year as they are small enough but we wouldn’t do that again in the future, so not having a second bedroom with twin beds rules us out of returning to the property which is a shame.

    Otherwise we loved the property

Very modern and clean and comfortable - and generally fully stocked with what we needed - But why only 4 dishwasher tablets? Come on !!! … 3 more won’t break the bank!!!

  • "Howe Keld 6 was perfect."

It was immaculately presented and had everything you needed. The drying room was fantastic. Great location for the town and the lake and parking in the car park was easy and worked well. We will definitely recommend to others and would love to return for longer next time.

  • "We loved the apartment and everything was clean and welcoming."

The housekeeping staff were so helpful when we called about a couple of issues. The only thing which would have made life a bit easier would have had a few more tea mugs so that we had more to use when the others were in the dishwasher.

Handy for local amenities yet quiet. Car park arrangement worked well.

  • "Apartment was excellent… couldn’t fault any of it - very spacious, comfortable and the facilities were superb."

Only one issue was the birds!!… being on the top floor, the birds scratching on the roof (there must be a nest inside!!?)… at 6am wasn’t appreciated!! While we were there, we did book to come back again in July - but have chosen apartment #4 as the bedroom is on the middle floor!

It had everything we could have wanted and was very quiet.

  • "We had a great week at Howe Keld 6."

Everything was fantastic. Angela was a lovely host. Probably the best property we have stayed in in the Lakes & we visit every year. We loved the high quality furnishings, decor, equipment & attention to detail in the apartment. I would only make a couple of suggestions - to encourage re-cycling you could provide 2 kitchen bins & it also needs to be really clear in the marketing that the apartment is up 2 flights of stairs & the free car parking is across the main road a short walk away. Neither of these were a problem to us but it may not suit the less mobile or guests with children.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Howe Keld 6."

We have stayed in Keswick many times and can honestly say this was the best place we've ever stayed in Keswick. It's luxurious, spacious, warm and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment with their own bathrooms with roomy and powerful showers. Angela is on site and is extremely friendly and helpful. The parking arrangement works very well, and it's only a short nip across the road to the car park. We have only been back a few days and are already sorting dates to go back and stay again.

  • "The apartment was clean, well-equipped and cosy."

We really appreciated having plenty of space to put wet and muddy gear after walks and runs. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely like to come back again!

  • "This was our second stay at Howe Keld this year (June in apartment 2, Sept in apartment 6) both were absolutely fantastic."

Beautifully furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. The welcome and little ‘touches’ along with the friendly and helpful approach from the on-site house keeper, Angela, makes your stay stress free and relaxing. The location is excellent, extremely close to the lake, town centre and loads of great walks (no need for the car!) We recommended to family who have also since enjoyed breaks at Howe Keld, we’ll definitely be back.

  • "Absolutely fantastic!"

Beautifully clean, high quality, stylish furniture and fittings, incredible location in the centre of town, outstanding views, had such a wonderful time. I’m running out of superlatives! The one thing my teen girls missed was a full length mirror (!). But all in all the perfect holiday accommodation and a massive thumbs up to the owners and cleaning staff

Very Minor comments - the duvets were too warm for us for this time of year so you might want to consider lighter duvets for the summer. Also a couple of throws in the living area would be a nice addition.

It has a great view of the hills and is close to the lake, but as well in short walking distance to the shops and the bus station. I greatly enjoyed my stay.
