    WiFi and TV excellent.

  • "A beautiful house, so well equipped, clean and finished to a high standard."

Lovely towels and bedding too. Couldn’t fault it, the nicest house we’ve stayed in. Great location for Keswick too.

  • "Property was nicely presented although not very clean."

Examples include layers of dusk on the bathroom edges around the walls with tissue litter and dog hairs down the sides of the sofa and grubby rug. The vacuum cleaner under the stairs was out of charge ncluding the spare battery, which wasn't charging up, so had to be moved to a different plug to charge and use, its a small thing but would have been useful to use as the floor was dirty when we arrived. Outdoor space was clearly listed as shared access with the rear houses, however we were rudely reminded by the woman from no 2 midway through the week when we sat outside on the table and chairs that they used the route frequently and we must keep it clear at all times..we were and we had done exactly that? Otherwise the stay was pleasant and in a good location.

Hi Chris, thank you for sharing your review. We are truly sorry to hear that the cottage was not clean. We pride ourselves on providing the best standard of accommodation and service to our guests. We have to admit we have had a very recent issue with our cleaner which has now been resolved. We deliberately provide our contact details in the welcome pack and if we had been notified we would have sorted this out for you (this has occurred once previously in the last 5 years and we responded immediately.) Similarly the response from our neighbours is unusual and we will speak with them (maybe they were having a bad day). We hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back and you are able to enjoy the experience the majority of our guests have shared in their reviews when they stay with us. Property Owner

  • "Little Leveret Cottage was superb and cannot recommend it high enough."

We will certainly look to see if we can book again, next time we book in Keswick. However I did have a bad experience with the Sykes staff when making the booking, so really not sure I want to use Sykes again - sorry.

Hi Colin, thank you for your review and you enjoyed the cottage. We share your disappointment in hearing that Sykes did not provide the same level of service that we provide to guests who book direct with us. Please reach out to us directly if you are able to provide more details. I hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Little Leveret Cottage next time you book to stay in Keswick. • "We had the most wonderful stay in Little Leveret Cottage, it was spotlessly clean, warm and had everything you could possibly think of available to use."

My parents had originally planned to come with us for the week and stay in the cottage but a last minute change meant they were unable to, however, I think this probably worked in their favour as mum has limited mobility and uses a stick to walk, she would most definitely be unable to get up the narrow spiral stairs up to the bedrooms. These were a challenge after a long day walking in the fells, but the comfort of the bed and the beautifully decorated rooms made the climb worth it :) Will most definitely recommend and will return to this beautiful little cottage just 5 mins easy walk from Keswick town centre.

  • "Little leveret cottage was lovely."

Wonderfully equipped and very clean. Beds were so comfortable. Loads of drawer and wardrobe space and the showers were perfect. Close to fitz park which was great for my 17 year old dog. Close to Keswick town centre but the cottage was in a very quiet area. Would highly recommend.

  • "The cottage is well presented and all effort has been rewarded by the owners."

All clean and tidy, provided with every item you would need, Internet very good as well. Location is close to all ammeneties for the Keswick high street and the parks, 5 to 10 mins gets you into the heart of it. Very quiet cottage even for the Easter period, parking can be an issue at the very busy times, you just have to be patient and crawl the streets. But any other time is no problem.

  • "This cottage is beautiful, it is filled with high quality furnishings and fittings , comfortable beds which you dont want to get out of , everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and more."

The only downside was the lack of parking and the very narrow steps at the top of the staircase but theres nothing can be done about that. Very convenient for the town centre and all the amenities. Great place to stay.

The property

At the heart of it all in the beautiful north country!

The bustling market town of Keswick plays host to your little gem of a Lake District bolthole.

A characterful end-terrace cottage perfectly central to this well-loved cultural and geographical Lakeland hub, you have everything on your doorstep, and a blissfully tranquil base to fall back on after your adventures are over!

A small family or two couples will find Little Leveret Cottage the ideal pick for a rejuvenating break in the North Lakes. A pleasingly central yet peaceful location in a Victorian residential area of Keswick, the situation of Little Leveret is equally ideal for dropping in to the popular twice weekly market in the square by the iconic moot hall and for ambling down to the shores of Derwentwater and picnicking in one of the most idyllically placed parklands in the whole country.

Keswick is a wonderfully vibrant and beautiful base for your holiday at all times of year, with those fabled Northern Fells clustering round the traditional slate-built village and higgledy-piggledy streets of the chief centre of the North Lakes. Please note- Our neighbours at the back have a right of way to access their property through our patio and gate.

They both run guest houses and are very happy to chat to visitors.

They have a collie dog which is always on the lead when it comes through.

They will announce themselves if your dog is loose as the collie is not always sure around other dogs.
