It was warm and comfortable. Everything worked. The location was quiet but it was less than 15 minutes walk into Keswick centre. We will probably book this place again.

  • "It was very clean and comfortable, sunshine all week meant we had good use of garden, and it was easy to park on the road outside."

The only things I would suggest is, a lock on bathroom door would have meant a less embarrassing week and a dustpan with a longer handled brush (less than £10 in many places) would have made things much easier, as bending down to the floor at age 80 isn't easy! Only 2 little things, which could be changed quite cheaply, would have been helpful, but overall great!

Perhaps we use more than other people but 3 is a little limiting. Also my car, Honda Civic, grounded when driving on to or off the drive way. Not much, but only used the drive way twice, rest of week just parked on the road opposite.

Although it was January and -8 degrees, the bungalow was always so warm and cosy and a welcome relief after a day on the hills. Everything was impeccably clean and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views of the mountains from the windows were beautiful to wake up to every day and we enjoyed making snowmen in the garden! We stay in this area of the Lake District at least once a year, but have never been to Noble Knott before. We will definitely be back!

  • "Enjoyed our stay."

Property clean and comfortable. Comfy beds and sofas, good size TV. Well equipped kitchen. Shower fine for electric. Decor and furnishings aren't the most modern but house is well maintained. Drive is steep but managed it ok. Short walk to town. We would stay again depending on price. Only problem was lack of info on where to disposit items for recycling. According to a calender in the guest info folder there is a collection for certain items but owner only instructs what to do with a wheelie bin which we assumed was general waste. We are keen to recycle and left items with note hoping the cleaner can deposit correctly avoiding more landfill.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Noble Knott."

The bungalow is very comfortable and was clean on arrival. We've stayed at similar bungalows in this area of Keswick before, and thought the layout of Noble Knott was great with a dining table in the lounge area rather than in the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed, it was great to have the dishwasher too. The black out blind in the twin bedroom is brilliant to have. It's easy to walk into the centre of Keswick from here, and it's a lovely town to visit. The listing does need updating though, as there is no DVD player or books. There was a set of dominoes and some playing cards but no other games. Just if you're travelling with children it's worth knowing so you can plan what entertainment to bring for those rainy days. Luckily we had good weather so were out and about most of the time. We would definitely stay here again - many thanks!

  • "This is a clean & comfortable holiday let, but when it comes to the crunch it is a semi detached estate bungalow with no open views from the property."

The garden is small & dishevelled. The attached neighbours start to go to bed, we assume that is what they are doing, after 11pm with loud talking & knocks. OK if you are late to bed yourself but we are not. In the kitchen the window is blown blocking what little view there is of the mountains. The dinner plates are very heavy and cannot be stood up on the drying rack safely. We do not use dishwashers. The hot water takes a long time to come through thus wasting the cold run off. The large shower is great & the sofas comfy. Keswick & it's surrounding area are amazing & this bungalow is well situated to take full advantage of everything on offer. We had an immensely enjoyable holiday, even to taking advantage of the mixed weather. Please thank the owners for the use of this accommodation.

Thank you for your review. I have no control over level of noise from neighbours and this apartment is in one of the quietest areas of Keswick. Your comments re plates have been noted and lighter weight ones are now being installed. The garden is due to be tidied next week and we have ordered replacement glass for the kitchen window. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and I appreciate your comments which help to ensure standards kept up. Property Owner

The small problem we encountered at the beginning was dealt with quickly and effectively by the electrician. The decor was tastefully done and the kitchen equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the central heating easy to control. An easy flat 10 min walk to Keswick town centre, the only issue we had was parking on the very very steep drive,it scraped the underside of the car. So we just parked on the road which wasn't a problem ,its a quiet cul de sac. Would def return to this property ,as long as the price does not become silly.
