  • "Overall we had a great time at the apartment."

We were slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the space. In particular almost everything we used in the kitchen needed washing before use. Our kids stayed in the room with single beds and I questioned whether the sheets had been freshly changed over. However the views were amazing, there was plenty of space for us all and the location is also perfect.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the views! We are sorry to hear that you experienced issues with cleanliness at the property. We take all comments on board, and they will be passed on to the relevant teams. Thank you The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "Great flat."

Lots of space in the public areas, very comfortable, and the views were perfect. Referencing other reviews, there was a lot of noise from the tapas place until 12.30 am on the Friday, but to be honest, nothing keeps me from sleep, and it just made me hungry really. Can't begrudge a business trying to make money. The flat is well equipped. If we were looking for a fault, the shower in the bathroom, not the en-suite, is not great, actually it's awful. Dining room was a bonus, great space and a wee step up from completely casual, which we enjoyed.

  • "Excellent property in central location Be aware that there are 41 steps on 3 different staircases to access the property and another 16 steps if you stay in the top 2 bedrooms This does however provide one of the best views of the rooftops of north Keswick and the Mountains surrounding."

READ the instructions regarding the car park space and save yourself hassle on arrival. The Tapas Bar is a little noisy at weekends but you are in the centre of town with at least 10 pubs within 3 minutes walk and countless bars and restaurants If noise is a problem then rent a cottage outside of town Having spent most of the week climbing the hills we appreciated the convenience of being central and we were too tired to to really notice An excellent property, a good week away Will use this property again next time in Keswick and the North Lakes

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to see that you had an enjoyable stay at Peak View, and enjoyed the views. We will look at the information provided regarding the parking, and ensure that it is correct. We hope to welcome you back. Thank you- The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team. Property Owner

  • "Thanks so much for a lovely stay."

We loved the comfy living room: when the weather was horrid, we could look at the lovely view from the windows. There was only one issue, which we knew about from other reviews, which was the noise from the local tapas bar. It did stop at midnight, so if you are pre-warned, it isn't a problem. Lovely and central, and perfect for a family get together.

  • "Fantastic location can’t fault that however need new mattresses on all beds."

The springs on the two single beds especially protruding through so turned them over. Bathroom showers are useless and main bathroom needs updating. Mould all round the bath and shower screen. Skirting boards were filthy everywhere. It’s a good size apartment though could do with updating and maybe convert the kitchen and dinning room into one big kitchen to make it more sociable for guests.

Thank you for your feedback. As we were not made aware of the issues you encountered during your stay, we were unable to rectify these for you. The property is listed as having separate dining and kitchen areas and we do advise guests to enquire whether a property is suitable to their needs prior to booking. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in the area. Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "Great location would stay again."

Super views. Lots of space. Extremely convenient to all the great things about Keswick... views, walks, pubs, bus, grocery, coffee. The actual views are so much better than the pictures. Appliances, carpet, furniture worn and needs to be replaced. Beds/mattresses are small and only marginally comfortable. Need changing. Fun quirkiness of an historic building... and also floorboards have areas with very loud creaks we felt bad for guests below. Doors oddly placed. 1/2 bath but no shower/tub upstairs. Also, the Tapas bar below rock and rolls until 12:30AM Thurs, Fri, Sat and it is like it is in your living room. The elevator does not go all the way up to this floor. If you can live with all that it is wonderful!

  • "First time I’ve stayed in a holiday apartment and there has not been a welcome pack."

The location was noisier that expected as there was a Tapas bar right outside the living room window. If you want to be right in the centre of things then this would be an idea place for you. The cleaner or previous people had left a full vacuum cleaner in the cupboard which I would have expected to be emptied if the cleaner had done a proper job. The instructions to the car park need to be updated as there is no Thomason butchers, it if stated that it was behind Greggs then its easy to find.

  • "Large apartment with comfy beds and sofas, quality furnishings, a basic but adequate kitchen."

Two bathrooms and three toilets made it perfect for four adults, no queues or time schedules. Absolute BEST part ... the fantastic views! We were so mesmerised by the ever-changing light and cloud on the fells, it was hard to tear ourselves away. Being in the centre of picturesque Keswick made shopping and eating out easy and fun, and just a stroll to two fabulous parks and lake Derwentwater. Will book longer next time.

Visited Keswick on numerous occasions but mainly for short stay breaks in hotels. This was the first time that we have done self-catering. Loved the central location, one car parking space an additional benefit. Would definitely look to book again. Thanks, we all had a lovely holiday.
