"My wife and I loved our stay at The Old Hayloft."
It's cozy and perfectly situated in the heart of Keswick. We'd certainly consider staying here again in the future.

"No mastiff token to open bollards, luggage had to carried from Church Parking, 4 minute walk."
Dishwasher not emptied Bed side lamps very dusty Food deposits on cutlery Show head too heavy for support, kept falling down Kitchen corner cabinet screws missing from edge. So kept falling off. Coffee machine was nespresso, but advertised picture shows a Tassimo. Not listed in inventory but misleading. Music from pub opposite is now Friday and Saturday until midnight, very loud music, impossible to sleep, not good when you need to be up early to vacate by 10:00am
Whilst we don't advertise the flat with vehicular access to the courtyard, it is usually available. We are sorry that this was not the case during your holiday. We have been advised that due to the damage of one of the bollards 3 weeks ago (someone driving into it causing irreparable damage) no vehicle can gain access to the courtyard until they can be replaced. At that point we will be given new fobs. We will make sure Sykes update the information regarding the coffee machine. I am sorry that the cleaner has not checked the cutlery or the dishwasher. Also thanks for the information with regards maintenance we will get Sykes on to those issues too. Property Owner

"This property is very up to date and we'll designed."
However, the mattress needs re-newing as its very hard and uneven! Also, it's not good for disabled people because of the steps leading upto the property. And although it's ideal for Keswick center but there is a lot of noise for the Pack Horse pud next door!
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that you found the mattresses to be uncomfortable, we do find that bedding and mattresses are down to personal preference. We take all comments on board. Thank you The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"We have stopped in the old hayloft many times."
No complaints at all with this property. It has everything you need. Very comfortable & a perfect location in the middle of keswick. Some noise from the pub opposite but this as only ever been on Saturday night. But this is nothing to do with the owners. We wouldn't want to stop anywhere else in keswick

"Thank you so much for the amazing time we may have spent in The Old Hayloft!"
Everything was prepared very fondly when we arrived. The site of the appartement in Keswick is impregnable and the endowment is very comfortable. Everything was tidy and clean, we felt very well.
-
"We have already recommended it to people in the family and walkers like ourselves, obviously cannot recommend to people who would have difficulty with the stone steps or have problems bringing luggage from Methodist church."
-
"A very well equipped and comfortable apartment for two people, with everything except a washing machine."
Situated over a shop right in the centre of town, with all the shops cafes and pubs on your door step. Live music from the pub opposite could be heard on Friday and Saturday nights, but it didn't disturb us. Car parking permit for a parking space two streets away, about a five minuet walk. The only problem is finding somewhere to unload your luggage, as you are in a pedestrianised area. This isn't very well explained in the joining instructions. Once you've got the key, there is a fob that lowers the bollards, but you still can't drive down to the apartment when its busy. Apart from this, everything else was excellent, and would recommend and book it again ourselves.

"Stopped here many times."
Lovely comfortable little place. Couldn't be situated any better in keswick

"We had a very comfortable stay in the Old Hayloft and will book it again in the future."
Noise from the local pub's 'live music' on Fri and Sat nights was certainly noticable, but stopped dead on midnight and wasn't a problem. The only comment we would make is that the instructions to find the property work well only if you are on foot, but not when you need to stop, park and unload. We missed the turning initially because it seemed to be one way, and it cost us 30 mins sat in traffic to get round again. Finally we found the car parking and carried out luggage in several trips. 25 yards is rather optimistic - it was certainly further than that. However, we had a lovely time and will book again for the future.
Thank you for your feedback. We will look at the information provided to ensure it is correct. We hope to welcome you back. The Lakes Cottage Holidays Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"This is a wonderful place for two people, right in the middle of Keswick town."
Everything you need and spotlessly clean. After contacting Sykes due to something coming on and waking us up in the middle of the night, they it was sorted immediately and we had a very peaceful stay. First class.
-
"Wonderful holiday let."
Books information amount of cooking utensils and pots. Only thing we could say was irritating was the water heater coming on several times during the night which obviously resulted in broken sleep. Otherwise wonderful holiday

"Immaculately clean, comfortable (including the bed) very well equipped, cosy, central, tastefully decorated."
Worked really well for us. Two niggles - the shower doesn’t work on high - it cycles between cold and boiling- you have to use eco mode which is rather weak, and the strange noise which wakes you up in the night- is this some sort of boiler or refrigeration system in the cheese shop below? It doesn’t appear to be in the flat unless it’s the water heater which I think is unlikely.

"Excellent accommodation in an excellent location."
Everything you could possibly need, even a parking space.
-
"Lovely property ideally located in the centre of Keswick."
The usual good standard of facilities I’ve come to expect from a Sykes property.
-
"Great apartment, extremely clean and very comfortable."
Perfectly situated and surprisingly quiet considering how close it is to the market square. Would definitely stay again.
-
"Second time staring at The Hayloft."
Location is brilliant and added bonus that there is parking included. Small and cosy. Clean, nice and warm everything you need on hand. Would recommend and will be booking again.

"The towel rail never heated and we were not able to understand how it’s programmed."
We were not able to get the sound on the tv and as your rep phoned on the Monday we mentioned it. The lady kindly came and got the sound but for the rest of the week tv was stuck on BBC2! This is likely to be a bigger problem to the next people than to us.

"Lovely little cottage in the middle of town."
The cottage was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen, so you could cook if you want. There is a car space a few minutes walk from the property. Parking in Keswick is a nightmare, so the car spot was very handy. Two things: It would be good to put the details of the fact that you can use the house key to lower the battons at the start of the court to the email you send people for check-in. We did not realise until after we had unloaded the car. We also found where to place the rubbish very confusing.
-
"We have stayed here many times."
Prices seemed to increase after covid so we didn't visit for a while but now seem more reasonable. The property has been upgraded & they have done a excellent job. Will definitely stay again
-
"Very good location in centre of town, modern and very clean."
The car parking was also a good asset, the only negative point was the out side space. We did not want to sit outside on the landing too other properties.
-
"We had a very happy two weeks in the old hayloft which we return to year after year."
Thank you for your delightful apartment.
-
"Sadly the detail in access and in facilities was lacking."
Welcome email had contradictory times. Told by agents that bollards were automated but fob was required but not were to find it. In the key press with the key. Route to parking was not up to date Rubbish disposal information was hidden in the cupboard and in the information book by other sheets.

"An excellent property."
I stayed there on my own as a convenient base in Keswick for a trail running holiday. The Old Hayloft is perfect and fantastically well presented. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Well stocked and comfortable, plus a lovely hot shower and super warm bathroom. I would highly recommend this place. Seriously brilliant view from the front door of Skiddaw and a lovely cafe 30 seconds from the front door, chippy the same and you could go to the pub in your slippers!!! The only drawback is on Fridays and Saturdays the pub next door plays loud live music until midnight. However a decent pair of earplugs remedies that perfectly, and the music isn’t too bad!! I wasn’t too bothered. I had one hiccup in the flat and it was sorted the next day promptly with minimum inconvenience, so very good customer service. If I have one minor issue it was the water tank, it makes a bit of a noise around 1:30am and woke me a few times, but it really was a minor issue, depends how lightly you sleep. All in all I had a lovely, comfortable holiday with easy, friendly, prompt customer service. Will definitely be back with my partner next time. Thanks for a fun week.

"The Old Hayloft had absolutely everything we needed and more!"
It’s a lovely little place in a great location meaning we had the perfect stay. Will definitely be booking here again!
-
"The Old Hayloft is the perfect little bolthole for week in the lakes."
Really cosy, with everything you need. Even a great selection of games for when the weather is horrendous (like it was much of the time for us!). Living kitchen space is great and really well appointed. We definitely made the most of the coffee machine and frother for 'fancy coffee'! Perhaps the most immaculate holiday cottage I've ever been in, top marks to cleaner. We parked up a bit away and trailed our luggage in torrential rain. A note in the arrival instructions to say there is a fob to lower the barriers so you can unload in the courtyard would be the only tiny change. We made use of this packing up. A tiny thing in an otherwise perfect stay! Will definitely recommend to friends.

"Great location."
Lovely comfortable flat. Very clean would recommend and will be back.
-
"The property is in an ideal location, lovely and modern with everything well stocked in the kitchen etc."
. Warm and comfy just what you need after a long day's walking (often in the rain). Would definitely recommend this property and definitely looking to rebook in 2022. Thank you.

"Lovely very clean comfortable accommodation with everything you need, a great location in the heart of Keswick."
-
"A little noisy and the the clock chiming has returned sounds like your living in trumpton."
-
"We were very impressed with the refurbishment of the accommodation with the new kitchen units and carpets."
The key safe at the door was a very good addition to the property which allowed us to leave on our final day early in the morning. This meant we didn't have to wait for the office to open and return the key and car parking voucher. We have stayed at The Old Hayloft many times and will continue to do so.

"Lovely apartment in very convenient location"
-
"We felt it was a little smaller than we expected, but was very well equipped with everything we needed to self cater and plenty of storage."
The apartment was spotless when we arrived and we felt covid safe from the moment we entered. We found the directions to get to the apartment a little confusing as on our instructions there was no information as to where to park to unload the car. Once in the apartment this was clearly explained alongside the parking permit.
-
"The only problem we had, and its only a little one."
We had trouble with reception on the tv. Lovely little place though. Stayed many times &will continue to do so
-
"Apartment clean, had all amenties."
Great location
-
"Excellent accommodation right in the heart of Keswick, lovely facilities and walking distance to everything you would need."
Having free parking for the week is a real bonus, would definitely use the flat again.
-
"Consider replacing the Skybox with a Freesat box as the lack of a Sky subscription limited the available TV channels."
-
"The location was spot on, the cottage was spotless and lovely and the parking was excellent."
-
"The place we stopped couldn't have been situated any better."
It was cosy & very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
-
"This is our seventh year of returning to the old hayloft and were delighted with the new colour scheme and the new bedroom furniture the new bed was particularly comfortable."
The cleaner needs to be congratulated on the pristine condition of the apartment. The only concern we had was the difficulty in opening the front door this is due to it rubbing on the door chill. It would benefit from a few shavings off the leading edge of the bottom of the door. We will be back next year.
-
"Great location, but no views (even of town)."
Comfortable, but very small lounge/kitchen/dining room.
-
"Car park 5 min walk but ideal considering location room spotless bed comfortable pillows bit hard but no problem lounge very holmly kitchen cutlery etc very good apart from cooker needs new hob location 2 mins walk to centre Keswick ideal pub downstairs bit noisy at weekend but to be expected quite after that would I stay here again."
Yes
-
"Location of ACCOMMODATION was fantastic."
Comfortable bed and brilliant black out blind in bedroom! Would definitely stay again and recommend :)
-
"We had a great holiday despite the weather."
The location is great in the middle of Keswick town centre. There was a bit of noise from people outside the pub opposite, but not enough to annoy. The lack of a car parking adjacent to the property was a slight problem, but the allocated parking a few hundred yards away wasn't too bad. Access for loading and unloading was fine. All together a lovely holiday flat.
-
"This is our fourth year of returning to the old hayloft we enjoy coming as it suits our needs."
Staff in the office helpful the car parking at the Methodist church is very good. The mattress is extremely hard and could do with a thicker topper than the one provided. There was a dripping tap in the kitchen sink. The live music from the pack horse pub on Fridays and Saturdays disturbs sleep until one a.m. in the morning.
-
"Excellent location and value for money."
The only downside to this holiday home was the fact that the pub across the courtyard has live entertainment three nights a week. This can go on until well after midnight. When people left by the exit where the singer was playing it was so loud that it felt they were in the same room.
