"From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised."
The accommodation is of a high standard. The kitchen is compact but very well designed with all you need. The apartment had a design-like feel to it with features such as the vaulted ceiling and large picture window. It was a 10-15 minute walk into town, (uphill on way home) which wasn’t a problem as we don’t mind a walk. The only slight problem we encountered was with the access road as it was very narrow with cars parked perhaps where they shouldn’t be but you just have to take your time and it’s fine. We are planning a return visit. If you’re contemplating whether or not to book, just do it!

"We had a lovely stay at your apartment- it was in a great location close to central Ambleside but away from any bustle."
It was stylish, cosy, clean and well - equipped. We ate in almost every night as we were so comfortable and tired after a day’s walking, we didn’t want/need to go out. We’ll definitely stay again.

12 Blue Hill Park is a contemporary first-floor apartment situated in an exclusive development on the edge of Ambleside which backs onto (and with direct access to) the slopes of Wansfell, all set within the stunning Lake District National Park. This property is not one to be missed, quietly set back from the main hustle and bustle of Ambleside (a short walk down the hill) it offers you the perfect relaxing break within an exceptional open-plan space.

Explore Lake Windermere with the lake cruises or self-drive motorboat hire available to you from Waterhead Pier.
For those more energetic the higher fells of Fairfield, Red Screes & Loughrigg are accessible by foot. Take a drive through the lakes and you could arrive at Grasmere, Coniston, Keswick.
A short drive, or slightly longer walk, leads you to Rydal Water with its mystical Rydal Cave, or walk a bit further and you could be on the shores of Grasmere Should you be an admirer of natural beauty, make sure to visit the Stock Ghyll Force waterfall and a tranquil walk through Holehird Gardens; both sure to leave you awe-inspired.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside with its numerous shops makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and the lakeside at Waterhead with parkland offering lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach. A walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
