"We absolutely loved the place, wonderful views from the garden, everything you could need was catered for, ideally placed for exploring, the only negative thing was that we had no hot water or heating on arrival but after a phone call an engineer soon came and fixed the problem."

"Fabulous property, large and spacious plenty of storage room."
Lovely views from front room we had amazing weather and enjoyed beautiful garden. Thank you lovely bottle wine on arrival. When standing by bench you can see Windemere Lake. We will definitely return to this property. I will mention that the walk from the the village is short but very steep fine for us as we researched before booking and are used to steep hills.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback following your stay. We are pleased to read such kind comments and are glad that you had an enjoyable stay. We hope to welcome you back again. Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"Clean, tidy and well equipped accommodation."
Very spacious. Comfortable beds. Lovely outside garden with excellent area to enjoy a bbq. Good parking area right up to the front door. Wouldn't hesitate in using again in the future. My only negative (and only minor) - the outside hard areas need some serious weeding. Growth is appearing even in/around the drains in particular.

"We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 children and the property was of a good size."
It was clean upon arrival although some extra cleaning of cobwebs around the windows both inside and out and wouldn't go amiss. The facilities were good with everything that we needed and a lovely powerful shower over the bath. We saw deer in the garden and had a an owl there also one night. The property could do with some extra garden maintenance of trimming the trees to expose further the beautiful views. The property was steep walking distance into town and back from town. A good location to explore the lake district and all it has to offer.

"On the whole this was a lovely property, great location for walks into Ambleside & surrounding areas, it was very well equipped & the views from the lounge were idyllic at the end of a long day of walking & exploring."
There were only 2 things, we wished it had stated more clearly in the property description on the website, the first was that the garden is NOT enclosed & drops down onto the road. It states that the property is pet friendly but when you arrive you are asked to keep your dog on a lead in the garden. This meant that we had to have the doors closed on warm days to prevent the dog from escaping. The second is that it states there are distant views of lake Windermere, however you had to stand on your tiptoes to see it over the hedge. Thankfully neither spoiled our stay.

About the location
AMBLESIDE
Grasmere 4.4 miles; Windermere 4.7 miles; Keswick 16.7 miles.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants, and pubs in the village to suit all tastes, including the popular eateries of Misto, Sheila's Cottage, and The Lily Bar. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
