  • "Lovely cottage in a very quiet village."

Beautiful scenery and picturesque towns and hamlets surround the location. Quality fixtures and fittings abound and I particularly enjoyed the king sized bed. The only improvements relate to information on how to use the tv system, the heating and precise parking locations near the cottage.

  • "A delightful property in a beautiful village."

Croft Cottage had been on our "must do" list for a long while and it fully lived up to our expectations. Owners are very friendly and helpful and obviously take great pride in their rental property. It is very well equipped with all that one could require and sitting outside with a cuppa on a sunny day (we had 3!!) was a joy. Croft Cottage is certainly a property to recommend without reservation. The eating out tip for The Queens Arms in nearby Litton was very worthwhile - the best pub food we have had in a very long time!? Apart from at home(had to say this as my wife will read it!), the roast beef Sunday lunch is probably the best ever! B&A C

The location was beautiful and quiet, nicely placed for both walks directly from the cottage or short drives away. The cottage has been expertly renovated and, tastefully decorated and furnished. We found the cottage warm, comfortable and cosy without being too small (all of the rooms were of a good size). Kitchen and utility room were modern and very well equipped; lounge-diner was lovely with a comfy L-shaped settee, good TV etc: the bathroom was excellent with a proper large walk-in shower and the bedroom had a huge (bigger than king size) comfy bed. The owners have clearly gone to great lengths to ensure that everything about the cottage makes their guests feel at home.

It’s a beautiful place to stay, comfortable, homely, quiet and peaceful with everything we need to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed yet more walks from the door and were treated to a wealth of bird life as redwings and field fares arrived and 2 barn owls accompanied us on the two mile drive to the next village, Litton, for a delicious pub supper. We saw kestrels and a kite but the kingfishers and dippers stayed in hiding this time. Wonderful views from every window and this warm and cosy cottage made staying in a pleasure on the one wet day we had.

Very clean with everything we needed. Beautiful scenery and quiet location. Just a small point that the listing stated induction hob which it wasn't and although it didn't matter perhaps needs rewording. The only other issue,as a matter of safety, that there was no non slip shower mat provided or a rail or handle to hold onto in the shower and we found it very slippery and hazardous . All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Thanks.

With reasonable closing times, you need not be worried that its customers will disturb your sleep. And, if a good night's sleep is what you're after that is sure to be arranged. Between the superking-sized bed, luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and the truly dark skies, the only thing that you'll be in danger of achieving is a good lie in!
