Good access to local facilities especially the rail service for non car users. Set in a stunning location. Will return in all probability

  • "A very warm and comfortable cottage ideally situated for both the delightful Arnside promenade (just a short walk away) and the train station (an even shorter walk away!"

) However we were not disturbed at all by noise from the trains due to the efficient double glazing. The property was spotlessly clean and beautifully furbished with comfortable beds - thank you a great short break.

  • "We loved the Coach House."

Great location, across the road from the station. Very well laid out and modern accommodation. Comfortable, clean and with every comfort. Nice and quiet just a short walk from Arnsides promenade. Only negative comment has to be, the allocated parking which can only be described as silly, with the passenger side of the car against the wall, leaving the drivers side parked on double yellows. This was made even more uncomfortable, by an unfriendly neighbour who insists you stick rigidly to your alloted space, to the inch.

  • "The property was lovely, spacious and clean, only issues were, could have done with curtains in downstairs double bedroom as street light shone in through blinds and the noise of power washing and revving engines in the day from garage behind but we were out most days."

Enjoyed the stay would go back to Arnside

Just sort that nut case out, I meen who puts a lock on their bin. Lovely place, great time thankyou for having my partner and I.

We stopped with our two little girls and the open plan space was perfect. The house was very comfortable and cosy and was in a great location for walking into Arniside. We loved walking down to the promenade. We would definitely return to the cottage again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Very disappointed with the parking."

Extremely small space a long side the road. We only have a small car and struggled to park, if someone had a bigger car it would have been very difficult to park. The next door neighbour was pretty unfriendly about parking also and we were very careful parking our car.

Hello We are glad you enjoyed the stay at the Coach House, we feel the area for parking is sufficient for a standard sized car and have had people park with SUV in the past without issues. Property Owner

  • "A lovely property in an excellent location."

A few minor things that didn’t detract from our pleasant stay. 1. No chain on bath plug. 2. Toilet seat loose ( only one fixing) 3. We felt that curtains on the main bedroom window would be better than the blinds which let the light in from the street lighting.

  • "Positives: really clean, well appointed, love the mix of traditional and modern, really cosy."

Location is great, short walk to various shops and cafes as well as the prom and beaches, and easy drive to South lakes and other attractions. Other people mentioned the train station and garage but neither caused us any issues, honestly passing hikers made more noise than either of these. In all we had a really nice stay and would happily stay again. Negatives: Nothing huge, just little niggles and hopefully constructive: Bathroom door neither locks nor closes properly, led to some awkward moments and us all having to loudly announce when it was occupied. Fixing the door would be very helpful! Kitchen is great but not enough utensils, cutlery etc. Hard work cooking for four with what was there, and not enough crockery and cutlery for two meals so we never really got to loading up the dishwasher fully and had to just wash by hand. Would definitely benefit greatly with some decent utensils, pans with lids and more glasses, plates and knives and forks. Parking is tight as others have mentioned but honestly it was fine really, would struggle with a larger vehicle though. Thermostat wasn't working, if we put the heating on the radiators all went full blast irrespective of the temperature. As there's no dryer or outside place to hang clothes we had no choice but to put the heating on with the clothes rack next to a radiator. We ended up having to just turn it on manually when we needed to dry clothes so it was a bit of a pain to balance, would recommend sorting the thermostat out as I'd guess it'll be expensive to run and not just inconvenient for guests. As I say though these were small niggles that didn't affect our enjoyment of our time in the lakes and at the coach house, just things that would make it even better for future guests hopefully.

Hello , We are glad you enjoyed your stay in the Coach House and thanks for booking. We have since fixed the bathroom door issue and fitted a lock, we have also added additional items to the kitchen inventory. Property Owner

  • "We were very pleased with Coach House."

It was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and furnishings .The location was very good and within easy walking distance of all the village facilities and Arnside was a lovely place to stay and a good base to explore the southern lakes area. Coach House is directly opposite the railway station but there was no disruption from it and a good service to Grange and further afield was available. The car parking space is very tight to the property and close to the road but again it did not cause an issue and there is additional parking further along the street. We are a family of four with two teenage boys and would recommend this property

  • "We had a nice stay with our family at the Coach House."

The living room was very spacious but we could have done with a couple of extra comfy chairs as we could not all sit together on the sofa. In the kitchen we could have done with some extra cutlery especially teaspoons, some oven gloves and some tinfoil to use when cooking or for wrapping food. The lock on the bathroom door did not work which was annoying and the towels a little small for the adults. There was parking right outside of the property but it was very tight especially when loading or unloading the bikes onto the car. Other customers should be aware that there is a small garage next door and most mornings we were woken by the very loud noise of rally car engines being tested which was very annoying when trying to have a lie in.

Hello Alison, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Coach House. We have since replenished the Tinfoil and added more teaspoons (I think we must have a phantom teaspoon eater as we always seem to be doing this !) along with an addition of an Oven glove. We have also added additional seating to the Lounge area . Having spoken with the neighbouring property who do try to avoid making any noise at any time of the day especially before 0930 ,however they did confirm there was one unavoidable morning the week of your stay where a car had to be moved before 0930 (it was moved at 0832 looking at the CCTV footage) and we do apologise if this caused you an issue. My sister and I are ladies of a certain age and did worry a little getting in and out of the shower. A grab rail would make such a difference. We took our own fan, but I'm sure it would be appreciated by many if there was one there. These are not complaints, just observations .

One or two casserole dishes and mixing bowls. A working lock inside bathroom door. The hallway mat bigger to cover all of area just inside entrance. Instructions where to put garbage and recycling or whether to leave it for the cleaners to dispose of. That said we had a lovely surprisingly quiet comfortable stay.

With regard to possible omissions the folder could benefit from some specific instructions with regard to television (we did work it out), and a note about the bathroom extractor, again we found it. On what could be a personal view i missed a coffee/tea pot, and also some pyrex type bowls which are multi functional in terms of fruit/oven/microwave, and a bread bin would be good for containing crumbs etc. Not deal breakers by any account and the pans/cutlery and crockery were in plentiful supply. Might also suggest coasters for the upstairs too. None of this affected our stay greatly but felt i would mention for consideration. We would usually sweep through and wipe down but there was nothing left to allow us to do so, Many thanks

  • "We really enjoyed our stay and it was great being so close to the station, a good pub four minutes walk away and the best fish and chip shop I have ever used even closer."

It’s a beautiful property and extremely clean. The only hiccup was the tv as we couldn’t get normal channels. in winter when it’s dark at four we would have appreciated a better tv service. I also cannot understand why they carpeted the entrance either as although there was a mat and a plastic receptacle for shoes, when their were four of us trying to get in with wet shoes it was awkward keeping the carpet clean so I cut up a plastic carrier to put down so we didn’t damage the carpet. If it was my place I would tile that small area as not all people take as much care as me. Would highly recommend a stay there..
