  • "Beautiful apartment, with fantastic views, especially from the garden."

Quite well equipped but could do with a bigger frying pan. Also television would improve with more free channels. We can't use the streaming channels and don't go far in the evening so when you can't sit outside then it's a bit limiting . The quality of the towels and bedding are first class. It is our 3rd stay in that apartment and don't intend it to be our last. It is ideal for people with limited mobility.

  • "Really enjoyed my stay, my first visit to Arnside, so when the air raid siren went off on Saturday morning I had no idea what was going on."

Had to google it to find out, I thought something serious was going off at one of the nuclear plants. Perhaps put an info sheet in a frame near kettle so it’s one of the first things you see on arrival. I saw it mentioned in the folder when I got round to reading it later that Saturday. I also struggled with the push button lock on the door at the carpark side, I only got it to work once then it wouldn’t do it again. Not really an issue for me as I preferred to use patio doors to front/kitchen. Prefer bath sheet to bath towel as a towel doesn’t wrap around fully, not sure if fan was working in bathroom as the front opened up but it didn’t make the sound of a fan and couldn’t see it turning round. Loved the milk, tea, coffee etc on arrival. It really is a lovely property in a perfect position, my first holiday after a very stressful 12 months and I really relaxed and enjoyed the scenery, the local shops & food and just sitting in the garden watching the sea and people go by. Many thanks, I’ll be back soon.

  • "I have little else to add to the above ratings - the property was freezing cold, Sykes have not been helpful."

We managed 2 days out of the 5 - the owner has compensated one night? I will never use Sykes again and will review the property with Honesty on other platforms.

We pride ourselves in giving our guests the best possible break away, providing a high spec accommodation with a personal service. Due to this we are upset to hear that you have not enjoyed your stay at No1 Inglewood Court but I do feel that this has been a very unfair reflection on our apartment. As stated to Sykes we were happy to give our guest 2 nights back (as she missed 3 nights). We felt this was fair as we were unable to advertise the Sunday night free as we couldn't get it changed around in time for new guests. This is due to the mid afternoon call from the guest to tell us they had a problem and were unhappy (the first we knew about it) but they had already left and had arrived home. We are very sorry for the the couples situation but feel that if a call had been made to us on the first two days of their stay we could have resolved the situation instantly by Turing the radiators up for them. Our number is available in the apartment, on their booking information and they called me directly when they were home, showing they had access to this. The radiators had just been set by the previous guests. We are always happy to have the radiators set at whatever temperature our guests want and for as long as they want, which is stated in our comprehensive information file for our guests on arrival. Unsure why the guest has marked us down on cleanliness, as when I spoke to her on the phone she told me the property was beautiful, clean and she had no other problem but for the temperature but she did ask if I knew that the cleaners cupboard had been left unlocked and open, allowing access to my store of wine, tea, coffee etc??? Which I apologised for and was grateful for her bringing it to my attention. I followed this up straight away with my cleaner. We felt that two nights compensation was fair and we also ignored the cost of the repair to the damaged tie back that had been accidently pulled off the wall by the guest. We are very sorry for our guests disappointment but feel that this is a very unfair review for a situation that could have been resolved quickly by turing up the radiators if our guest had made us aware, rather than just leaving and then complaining on their return to home. • "Overall, the facilities are good, but there are a few issues."

There needs to be a wastepaper bin in the lounge and bedrooms. One of the large dinner plates split in two when we were serving and a second one has a hairline crack in the same place, so that will split in the future. The shower ran at not much better than a trickle until I realised that all the rubber teats in the shower head were blocked with black gunge. I managed to clear a lot of them, but the shower head needs a serious clean, probably on a regular basis. The fan in the bathroom has a grill that is clogged with dirt and needs a really good clean. Everything else was fine, though there was a rogue car parked in the allocated parking space for a couple of days. Fortunately, one of the visitor bays was vacant so I was able to use that one.

I can only apologise for the issues that you have mentioned and please be assured that all points have been checked and double checked to ensure the issues have been put right and won't happen again. Very comfortable, warm and cosy and lovely views. Well-equipped and set up with a Christmas tree and decs which really cheered us up. Right on the prom so could be noisy at the peak of summer. No lights on the prom when we stayed in December and it was pitch black, great for star gazing if you get a clear sky, so take a torch if you are going to be moving around in the evening. A visit to the chippy is a must, 5 mins walk and you can book a pick up slot. Coffee maker was a Nespresso Vertuo and we took the capsules for the Nespresso original. Couldn’t find any pods for the Vertuo locally in Tesco or Booths and couldn’t use the ones supplied as we only drink decaff but there was a small cafetiere we used so it wasn’t a problem. We bought a couple of coffees locally to give us our expresso fix. Good pies at the bakery. Wifi good, no DVD or CD player for us old fogies so we subscribed and used the smart tvs as it was winter and we were in a lot.

Thank you for your lovely feed back and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at No1 Inglewood. A wonderful getaway awaits you at Inglewood Court; a beautiful ground-floor apartment enjoying an enviable position along the promenade and within striking distance of Arnside's amenities.

This two-bedroom self-catered accommodation boasts an exceptional location and is perfect for romantics, families and outdoor enthusiasts to use as a base as they explore this part of Cumbria and beyond to the Lake District.

Enter into the beautiful Victorian stone and slate building, before taking the steps down to the ground floor, where lovely views over the communal grounds, to the Estuary and beyond await.

For those that might find stairs a little difficult, the apartment can be accessed from the front of the property at ground level.

Discover the well-equipped kitchen, where white painted cabinets are topped by sleek black worksurfaces, containing all the essentials required to cook family-favourite dishes.

Sit down at the accompanying dining table where double-glazed patio doors lead out into the garden.

A gravelled sitting area awaits, which offers the most spectacular views of the Kent Estuary, viaduct and the Lake District fells beyond.

Settle down at the end of each day within the sitting room where you can kick back on the sofa with your partner to tune into the TV, curl up in the armchair to delve into a book or simply admire the Kent Estuary and viaduct views.

Completing the interior are the two bedrooms: the master suite, containing a plush king-size bed and a Smart TV, and a second bedroom with a single bed, making the perfect set up for couples or for families of three.

Sunny mornings can be spent with a cup of tea on the gravelled seating area, where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining and watch the sun setting over the Kent Estuary.

To the rear of the characterful building is an allocated off-road parking space, as well as a shared utility room with a tumble dryer and storage space for bikes.

Stroll along the promenade to further admire the views before finding the centre of modest Arnside, home to a plethora of places to eat and drink, and a range of shops for the essentials.

The pier serves as an enduring reminder of Arnside’s illustrious maritime history and offers stunning views across Morecambe Bay.

Avid ramblers will be delighted by the National Trust owned Arnside Knott, a 520ft high flat rock and a designated AONB which offers a variety of walks around Arnside Knott and up to the coastline along the cliffs.

Continue to savour your surroundings with an afternoon at RSPB Leighton Moss nature reserve which is the largest reed bed in north-west England and home to a plethora of wildlife, including marsh harriers, egrets, otters and red deer!

Blackstone Point beach is also nearby and is a wonderful place to go walking․ Those bringing a younger guest along can visit the majestic landmark of the Fairy Steps, offering an easy ramble with plenty of scenic spots for a picnic.

Slightly further afield is Lakeland Wildlife Oasis where you pay a visit to see the snow leopards!

Those feeling more adventurous can head to the Lake District National Park to uncover more breath-taking scenery or you could travel to the bustling Cumbrian town of Kendal where you will find two castles, two museums and a host of fine restaurants and shopping arcades.

Inglewood Court is an outstanding property to share a memorable break with your loved ones.
