  • "What a wonderful stay for a family holiday."

Beautiful quiet valley with stunning walks. Two big family rooms and space downstairs for children to play in and plenty of bed space and a fabulous laundry downstairs with everything you need for wet days in the Lake District. Kitchen is brand new, and every need has been thought of. We loved the place. Highly recommend it.

  • "The house was lovely and suited our needs exactly."

Lots of space and facilities. Our host was charming and helpful. The 'honesty' cake box on the lane a lovely treat for the children. Only reasons for change in score for comfort and accuracy of listing are (a) the heating seems to be on all the time so the house is particularly warm - useful in winter but not needed when warm outside. There is a smart TV in the listing which is somewhat misleading as there are only 2 channels to choose from so suggest an addition of a DVD player be added, or other families renting bringing their own firestick as the children were disappointed not to be able to watch their favourite TV programmes. However, small points in an otherwise fabulous stay.

Thanks you we are pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. I asked several times in the week if everything was OK. So in regards to the TV if you’d told me through the week I could have re-tuned it or at worst swapped with our TV even lent you a DVD player. It has since been re-tuned. The heating can be control at the radiators. And switched up or down depending on guests needs & weather. Again if you’d said I could have altered or got someone to do it. Anne is pleased you all enjoyed her cakes she was selling for charity and I like the fact you thought I was charming. David Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful cottage!"

The owners were so kind and thoughtful, the cottage itself had everything we could have wished for and more and the location was perfect. We had a great 3 night stay, making precious memories with our family and seeing some of the stunning scenery the area has to offer. Would highly recommend! Hope to visit again in the future.
