  • "Fabulous lodge, very quiet, everything you need for a fantastic stay."

Garden fabulous for the dogs, great internet and telly with netflix and prime. The only negative thing i could say is that the two small windows in the living area have fabric folded blinds that you cannot pull down, and although you are not overlooked , i would have liked to have been able to have the windows covered at night.

Thanks very much for your feedback Dawn .. we agree about the blinds on the garden side even though it’s not overlooked. Something we will consider changing soon. Best, Mark Property Owner

!! very secure We would love to return at some point in the future and have been telling all our friends which perhaps wasn't a good idea as they are all impressed with our praises for the area

  • "We really enjoyed our stay here in March."

The site is very quiet and secluded. We took our 5 month old Labrador on his first holiday and he loved it.There were 4 adults for the first two night and it was a bit of a squeeze in the living space. Two enclosed decking areas with furniture if the weather allows. Large garden which isn’t enclosed. Very relaxing holiday and would go again.

Thanks for the positive feedback Elizabeth. Best wishes, Mark Property Owner

  • "What a fantastic holiday lodge!"

A perfect setting with everything you could need. The ideal location for sightseeing or as a relaxing, quiet and peaceful haven for those rainy days that make the Lake District so beautiful and green! We would love to go back, but according to the Sykes website the lodge is unavailable until 2026!

Thanks so much for your kind comments Philip. We will be releasing more blocks of availability soon .. once we figure out our own plans for the rest of the year and 2025! Best wishes, Mark Property Owner

The beds were super comfy and bed linen and towels of a high quality. Loved the balcony leading from the main bedroom and even managed to sit out and have a glass of wine even though it was February. Would definitely recommend this lodge.

The lodge, the site just the entire experience is priceless. Even though the temperature dipped outside the lodge was so comfortable and warm we didn’t care. The surroundings are so peaceful and the general vibe from the place is outstanding. The owner Mark is always there should you have any queries and he’s created a lovely serene haven which for us, combats manic world. Wonderful bolt hole. We’ve already rebooked!!

Thanks again for your lovely comments Mike. Best wishes, Mark Property Owner

As described in the listings but so much more. Beautiful setting and surroundings. We went for peace and quiet and got that in abundance. The lodge was really comfortable and every query we had was answered by Mark in a flash. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the lodge or location. Absolutely first class. So good that we booked to return the very next month. We’ve found a gem.

Mark & Dee were very thoughtful hosts- making sure I had all the details needed for arrival & checking everything was ok.
