  • "Host's were very welcoming and informative."

The lodge was warm and comfortable, with a cosy lounge, and large kitchen come dining area. Set in a very peaceful garden, with birdsong and wildlife. It provides an ideal base, for visiting the area, and we spent most days at WWT Martin Mere. There was only one day, lost to the weather, and we had the opportunity to meet up with friends.

.. was helpful as I had stored all the information on my computer and could not access it. When we pulled up to the cottage, we were greeted with a warm smile and a handshake. We were then shown around the property and given all the relevant information. Being a little OCD I usually spend the first hour of my holiday cleaning but not this time. The cottage had a lovely subtle smell of bleach, every surface, floor and door was spotless. There wasn't any restrictions on what we could and couldn't do during our stay, as we have had on previous holidays with different companies. My 5 year old son loved it, as soon as he saw the Hennessey's he wanted to tell them about all the different things he had seen in their garden. They were a lovely kindly couple, who acknowledged my son and listened to him babble on. They informed us on what was going on in the area over the coming week and checked to see if we needed anymore towels etc... half way through the week. On our last day my son waited all morning looking out of the window, so as not to miss them to say goodbye and to tell them that he'd had a wonderful holiday. And so had we. Thank you!
