"Excellent. Property and hosts."
Friendly dogs and peacocks. Great welcoming pack. Perhaps the best rental we have ever had.
-
"Property was well equipped and comfortable (apart from the main bedroom mattress) and grounds were lovely and in a beautiful location."
the Welcome pack was very nice and useful. however a few things needed addressing: fridge/freezer was listed but was only fridge with icebox. the ice box door was missing so ice box was thick with ice, so couldn't put much in it. there was dust and cobwebs on windowsill at back of settee the garden table, a garden chair and bench were badly in need of repair. the garden for the property was overgrown. the grass was mown on request all in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone, especially as a dog friendly place to holiday

"Lovely stay!"
Ideal for dog and peacock lovers as the local residents enjoy visiting the property! Xx

"This is our favourite break away!"
The stunning location is further enhanced by the quality of the accommodation and then taken to the absolute top level with friendly and supportive hosts. Taitlands Barn provides a level of sheltered privacy including its own patio and garden but within the overall Taitlands grounds.

"Lovely cottage in the grounds of a large house."
Welcome pack for us and the dog was a bonus. Contact from Michelle and Greg before we arrived was a nice touch and very informative. Our dog had a great time with the house dogs (he took to Luna the Lab) and the resident peacocks entertained him knocking on the window by the door in the morning (they are used to dogs and know when to get out of the way). Really well placed to do lots of walks from the door and cereal to drive to things a bit further afield.

"Really enjoyed our stay with Michelle and Greg and the welcome pack is a nice touch."
Comfortable sofas and a very warming Woodburner made our stay cosy and chilled. The wide-screen TV was also a bonus as was the the lovely peacocks and friendly dogs....a great place to stay...highly recommended!
-
"Lovely cottage in a fabulous position for many walks."
The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Upon arrival we were greeted by Michelle and a fabulous welcome pack was in the cottage for ourselves and our 2 dogs. Highly recommended and extremely good value for money.

"Delightful location and accommodation carefully curated by thoughtful and friendly hosts."
Exceptionally dog friendly and provides unrivalled access to the Dales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and immediately booked another week in the summer. Definitely one to remember and return to regularly.
-
"Fantastic cottage with everything you need, we will hopefully book again in the summer ."
-
"Lovely barn, lovely surroundings, very welcoming too."
With short drives or walks from the house I visited the Ingleborough waterfall trail (much better than it sounds), Hull Pot on Pen-y-ghent, Stainforth Foss, Catrigg Foss, Scaleber Foss, Norber Erratics, Fountains Fell and Booths Supermarket in nearby Settle (definitely an upgrade from Morrisons!) I like dogs, so that was a bonus.

"A lovely venue for the walking holiday we were seeking."
This is a very well appointed barn complete with peacocks, and is handily situated a couple of miles from the town of Settle. A thoughtfully stocked "welcome box" was an appreciated bonus on our arrival. The river Ribble runs nearby, and the Settle - Carlisle railway actually runs under the paddock in front of the site owner's house (a stipulation made by the early Victorian owner back in the day). Excellent walking routes in all directions from the barn with several nearby hotels and restaurants to help with the recovery on your return - as did the hot bath back in the barn.

"I suppose the acid test is, would we stay here again?"
You just try to stop us! Lovely, well appointed cottage. Stunning, peaceful surroundings. Warm, friendly welcome from Michelle and Greg, who couldn't be more helpful. Wholeheartedly recommended.

"We had a fantastic week in the barn."

"Really enjoyed our stay and such a fabulous loaction."
Walking distance to Stainforth/falls and the really interesting Lime Kilns. Short drive to Settle. If you like cheese, you are 10 mins drive to a fabulous cheese and wine shop! The cottage is also located well if you want to do the 3 peaks. I just did a Pen-y-ghent circular, seting off from the cottage front door. It was great for our Border Collie, but just be aware tthe garden isn't enclosed. I put him on a 10m long line which served well. He was rather bemused by the peacocks LOL.
