"Comfortable, well equipped apartment with private parking, and bigger than we expected."
Good location within walking distance of Bowness shops, pubs and restaurants. Great base for exploring the Lake District.
-
"The property was just perfect for our stay."
The kitchen was lovely and clean and had washing machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and all the utensils we needed and much more - (dish towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets all included etc.) The bathroom was clean and had a large bath and shower cubicle. Bedrooms were lovely and clean too. The cupboard full of board games was a great idea...although we had such good weather so hardly and indoor play time. But great for a rainy day. And the information pack and leaflets were fabulous too! Lovely 5-10 walk into town. Parking was very easy at the flat. We had no noise disturbance at all during our 7 nights. We had a fantastic holiday! Thankyou so much.

"This was our second time at High Lake, and I'm sure it won't be our last."
The property is clean, tidy and has the benefit of a dedicated parking space, ideal if you want to explore the surrounding areas like we did. It's close to the shops, pubs and restaurants too. Definitely recommended!

"A return visit to High Lake and had an enjoyable stay."
Everything we needed and close to amenities.
-
"We had a lovely stay here for a few days with our 6 month old baby."
The apartment was clean and tidy, the washing machine and dishwasher were really handy to have! We'd have no qualms about staying here again. Thanks!
-
"Just had a lovely 2 weeks here in snow, wind and rain but it was still lovely."
Good facilities and a comfortable stay, washing machine a bonus. Well placed for town and country walks. Mainly quiet from neighbours and certainly good nights sleep. Would come again.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to see that you had an enjoyable stay. Thank you- The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"We had a lovely 2 night stay here in December with our almost 2 year old."
The apartment was clean and cosy with everything we needed. The layout was perfect with a young child and the location was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay, we would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"This was a very good property."
We were very happy with it except for one problem. The parking was fine, the equipment was fine as was the bed, the shower, everything really. The reason we would not recommend it is the neighbours. I'm amazed that a relatively new property has such poor noise insulation. On Friday and Saturday night we had neighbours. We could clearly hear them shouting at each other. It was terrible to hear such a row. In the end we turned the TV up loud to try and drown it out.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were disturbed by neighbours but are glad that you otherwise enjoyed the property and it's amenities. Lakelovers Owner Team Property Owner

"Lovely apartment, very clean and tidy, spacious too."
Only 5 minutes walk down to Bowness and all that it offers. Dedicated parking space is a bonus too. Staff were also very helpful when i had a query.

"Very happy about the facilities and cleanliness."

"The property was lovely, well maintained and generally very clean."
We loved the location and how well equipped the apartment was. Unfortunately there a damp smell in kids room which meant that my husband and I had to stay in there. Also, there was a lot of noise from the upstairs apartment which wasn’t ideal with a 5 year old and baby.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that the location of the property was to your liking. We will ask our Maintenance Team to look into your comment regarding damp. We take all comments on board. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"Very well equipped."
-
"As previously mentioned, noise from attached properties could sometimes be heard, but not really a huge problem."
Accommodation advertised as having a "shared garden" but not really practical as was just a small garden table & 2 chairs on the lawn!! Beds were extremely comfortable & slept like a log every night! Extremely well situated for both Bowness & Windemere & local busses, meaning we didn't need to use the car all week. A "welcome pack" would have been nice, as with most properties, for anyone arriving late. Overall though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

"The apartment was the perfect base for our stay."
Just a short walk away from all the shops etc. It was very well equipped, comfortable and homely. The walls are quite thin so you can hear the neighbours next door but other than that I could not fault it, and would stay again.
Thank you for your kind comments, we are pleased to see that you had a lovely stay. We take your comments on board. We hope to welcome you again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"A nice apartment in a good location but there is a serious noise issue with this property."
You can hear TV and talking from both upstairs and downstairs. We could even hear someone snoring in the flat upstairs. We had to use ear plugs in order to get any sleep. We found dirty crockery in the kitchen and didn't use the oven because it smelled of fish.
Thank you for your comments, we are pleased to heart that you found the apartment to be nice and enjoyed the location. We take all comments on board. We will ask our Housekeeping team to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"Last year at the same property I informed you that the steam iron was leaking water badly and I informed you I thought it was dangerous."
On our return found same iron there.
-
"The appartment was as lovely as it looked on the website."
It was particulrily well equipped for self catering a cooking proper meals. The heating worked well but was rarely needed and the appartment felt warm when you walked in which is often not the case with electric heating when it is cold outside. I enjoyed the bath but was pleased it took less time to fill then expected because of it's eco friendly design. The little block of appartments was well presented and it was quiet with plenty of parking and in a lovely neighbourhood but only a short walk to Bowness. What more can you ask? Thank you.
Thank you for your comments. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you back. Property Owner

"Unfortunately both weekends of our stay Friday and Saturday nights were spoiled by the same group staying in flat one below us started partying at 7."
00pm and finished at 4.40 am with loud music and shouting . Which was a real shame as we thought we had found a real gem of a place to stay as the place is home from home Lack of respect for others really tarnished our stay
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your stay was impeded by another flat. We hope that you would return. Property Owner

"This is a lovely little holiday let."
It was nice and clean on our arrival and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials that you would need if on a self catering holiday (we mostly ate out) Bowness is perfectly situated to explore all of the lakes, and the apartment is around a 10 minute walk from Lake windermere, and around 5 minutes from the town where you will find plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and gift shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment. We would certainly consider booking High Lake again!
-
"The property itself was excellent, as was the location, although the information pack provided in the property itself could have been better as there was very little other than generic information that I suspect is left in all properties."
We were unsure for example what to do with the rubbish at the end of our stay as it was unclear what bin(s) related to the property and we could not find any recycling bin. We also would have liked 2 sets of keys rather than just the 1 set provided.
-
"Could do with oven gloves and kitchen tongs in the kitchen."
No instructions about emptying rubbish and recycling. No instructions about bedding and towels on checkout. Apart from that, Lovely property, quiet location, spacious and plenty of storage. Great base for exploring the Lakes and handy for bus routes too. Thank you.
-
"Slight disappointment to arrive and find this property no longer has sky tv as advertised but this was where the disappointment ended as this apartment has everything else."
It is clean, comfortable, well equipped and homely. The location is one of the best for quietness but is also central for all Bowness amenities. Parking was also great. There was nothing about this little apartment we didn't like and would certainly love to return.
-
"Great accommodation and location, an easy walk into Bownwess and Windermere."
Very well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds, great to have both bath and shower and easily able to boost hot water when required. The property itself is in a quiet location off the main road. Unfortunately though you do hear noise from surrounding apartments especially the one above, so it depends on how considerate your neighbours are. The only other minor issue was that there was not enough external rubbish bins for flats. Potentially it might also be good to provide a few board games for really rainy days and a small amount of milk in fridge when you arrive so you can have a cuppa without having to go shopping first.
-
"Lovely place to stay."
Very central location. 7 minute walk to Bowness and the Lakes or 15mins into Windermere. Very central to then drive the rest of the lake district. Clean place in a quiet area. Lots of private parking.
-
"Great location in Bowness with easy access to so much - even without using the car."
Nice quiet area in general although being an apartment this does seem to depend on how noisy your upstairs neighbours are as the ceiling / wall soundproofing would not appear to be that thick. But the apartment itself is ideal with everything you could ask for and felt very homely and comfortable. Have visited the area before and will definitely be back again.

"No.4 High Lake was very comfortable and my stay there was very satisfactory."
Most important to me is cleanliness, which is even more important than facilities, and on this point I am pleased to say the accommodation was spotless and presented in an immaculate manner. Also the facilities were first class. I wonder whether the cleaners reported back to you as to how they found the property after I left, maybe they thought cleaners had already been in before them. !
-
"Great location, lovely clean apartment and good facilities for a nice break in the lakes."
Having a safe parking space was an added bonus. Thank you.
-
"Lovely apartment, superb location, apartment has everything you could need and more."
Found the radiators hard to program but instructions were provided we just struggled to follow them. Really did enjoy our stay.
-
"The property is excellent in every way."
We have taken holidays for some years in this property and in the last few years it has been refurbished to a superb standard.
-
"Excellent location with fantastic facilities."
The accommodation had everything you would need.
-
"A great find near to Bowness village."
A lovely light apartment that met our needs well. We enjoyed it here so much we are returning again next year.
