"Arrived to find as we expected a beautiful view, however we also found the decking to be covered in tree debris and as our Grandsons were on-route my Son and Husband spent the next hour cleaning this up and bagging it."
Over the next few days we had 9 different issues which I took pics of and expected to be quickly remedied. Three were fixed but the rest were left including no lighting in the walk-in wardrobe for which we needed a torch to see and an unusable dirty / rusted BBQ. As we had paid a lot of money for this Birthday treat we were very disappointed with Customer Service poor responses. We strongly recommend that Customer Services/Owner think more of customer satisfaction so as not to deter any future bookings. Our rating of this lodge is 6/10 at best (can’t fault the position of the lodge or that beautiful view)
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are pleased that you were able to enjoy the location and the view. We are sorry to hear that the decking had tree debris on it. This lodge has tree that hangs over the decking therefore some debris is left. We were pleased that our Property Services Team were able to rectify some of the issues for you. We will pass on your comments to the relevant teams. Thank you- The Lake District Lodge Holidays Owner Relations Team. Property Owner

"We had a really lovely stay and loved the lodge."
The views are spectacular and the size of the lodge brilliant. The boot room was very handy and the walk in wardrobe great for storage. Lovely and clean upon arrival and everything you could need in there to use. Not having keys for either of the patio doors was fine in the colder weather but would put us off booking in the warmer months and we like others did feel it was a fire hazard. A superb holiday though. Thank you.

"Lovely lodge in a beautiful location, only issues we had was arrangement for baby cots and high chairs fell through and the TV / internet connections were difficult and some information booklet would have helped."
Would still return as it's a lovely experience on the edge of the lake and 5 minutes walk from Bowness.
-
"Perfect! Superb location, stunning lodge with everything you need."
My only criticism would be that we couldn’t get either of the can opener’s to work and that we had terrible problems with the tv, this may have been down to signal but it did cause some issues. Maybe would be helpful for some information regarding how the tv works best. The lodge was far better than we expected and is somewhere we will definitely be coming back to.

"The Lodge has amazing views over the lake."
It is kept very clean and there is everything in there that you need. We have stayed in a few lodges on Fallbarrow park and this is by far the best one we have stayed in, already looking to see when it is available again , will definatly stay there again.

"Lovely lodge if the owner kept it in better repair."
The doors from the lounge and bedroom do not open meaning unlike all of the other lake front lodges you cant sit and enjoy the view! This is also a fire hazard and both the owners and Sykes are aware of this but will allow you to book knowing full well you don't have the full use of the lodge and is dangerous! The owner will take your money and not provide you with what you believe you are booking! Avoid this lodge and book one of the others!

"Overall an amazing place at a really good price."
Little things like the boot and coat cupboard and walk in wardrobe elevate this ahead of any other lodge we’ve stayed in. And then there is the view…. Just amazing. Only possible areas for improvement would be that there were no keys to open up all the patio doors and the outdoor furntiture wasn’t covered and showing it’s age a bit. Neither thought detracted on what was an amazing relaxed week.
Thank you for your kind comments, we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your holiday at Lakeside Lodge, and the views! We hope to welcome you back. Property Owner

"We had a fantastic time and lodge was lovely."
We have stayed on Fallbarrow park many times but this was far the best property we have stayed in. Everything was really clean and comfortable and view was unbelievable. My only issue was the main walk in shower. I used it once but found it very difficult to shower and stop the water from flooding the bathroom at the same time with the squeegee provided. The floor is not at the right angle for the water to drain into the waste plug. I think it really needs addressing as other guests might not be as careful and this could end up being a big issue. It could be a lovely shower though and it was a shame I felt I couldn’t have a relaxing shower in it but I used the over bath one instead. Hope the owners will address this for our next visit. I’m happy for you not to mention the shower issue if you decide to publish this. It’s really just a helpful note to the owners. Hopefully will be back again. Many thanks.

"I don’t normally leave a review but on this occasion I feel I need to."
To start I want to say the lodge is beautiful and the views are amazing, it’s lovely to wake up to that view every day. However when we arrived the whole lodge was frozen, there was no heating and the water to everything had completed frozen, we tried to get maintenance but it was going to be a few hours. Luckily my husband is a farmer and had spent all week unfreezing pipes so after about 4-5 hrs we managed to get things up and running but it did take until well into the next day to start to get warm. I completely understand things being frozen with the weather but I feel someone should have checked on the property to make sure everything was ok before we arrived then the issue could have been sorted, it was that cold even the water in the toilet bowl was completely frozen, like I mentioned my husband had spent all week defrosting pipes, he didn’t expect to when we are going away for a weekend. We did feel like we had a wasted night at the lodge which is sad because it’s was a really lovely place to be when it was warm.
Many thanks for taking the time to submit your valued feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the lodge and the lovely views which surround Lakeside. It is regrettable that you found all pipes to be frozen on your arrival, this was an unprecedented spell of extreme temperatures which resulted in many properties being affected by the same issue. Unfortunately, due to the high number of lodges impacted by frozen pipes etc that day, we were unable to check each one prior to arrival. Whilst we appreciate this was not an ideal situation for you, as guests, we did attend as soon as possible to help resolve the problem. We do understand your disappointment and apologise for not being able to attend sooner. Property Owner

"The lodge was absolutely stunning, as were the views."
As it was right on the lake edge and there was access down to it, the children spent hours throwing stones and watching the ducks and swans. The lodge ìtself was well equipped, bright, airy and warm and toasty. Within walking distance to sll the smenities too. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Lakeside, and that you were able to take in the view. We hope to welcome you back again. Property Owner
