  • "The property was beautiful and exactly as shown in the photos."

Perfect location too in the middle of Bowness, close to restaurants, shops, cafes and bars. The only bit of constructive/negative feedback I have is there was no full length mirror in the apartment at all which wasn't ideal and only a very small mirror in the large bedroom which had to be shared with the other room for drying hair etc. The wifi was also not great. I think you need to have a router in the apartment that can be reset when running slowly. Otherwise, lovely apartment that I would highly recommend.

  • "The apartment is great and in a good position."

Close to all amenities and has a lovely comfy bed. Things to consider are that the bedroom door handle gets stuck. Some bulbs and batteries in candles need replacing.

  • "This is our third stay at Stonecliffe; once as a couple, once with an 8 month old and then this year with our now 20 month old and we just love it!"

It is the perfect home from home and in a fantastic position to explore the Lakes. Being in Bowness, you have so much to do on your doorstep be that shopping, restaurants, bars and tearooms, the boats with access to Ambleside, Hawkshead and beyond and then Windermere just a short walk away. We intend to stay every year as it’s now such a special place to our family. Already looking forward to coming back in 2023. Cannot recommend enough, has everything you need and is comfortable, clean and modern. I don’t want to rave about it too much in case it ends up being booked when we want to go… Earlier check in would be good as it’s a long way to travel for most people who would like to arrive and be able to settle straight in. Other than that, 10 stars from us!

Thank you for reviewing your most recent stay and continuing to choose to stay with us at Stonecliffe. We are always delighted to welcome back repeat customers and glad you are able to make the most of our fabulous location and facilities. Property Owner

Smart TV required in lake district in particular, deluge on one day had.to stay in could not watch a movie. Linen and pillows poor had to search 5 bags to find average pillow choice Stated luxury could not find evidence. Eqipment no soop ladle no pasta plates no pizza cutter no dining atmosphere IKEA is not the key for luxury Good location good parking accommodation fair at best. WOULD SUGEST OWNERS STAY HERE TO SEE FAULTS linnen and bedding NOT luxury have you heard of Egyptian cotton like we had on a previous stay in Yorkshire?

Dear John, Thank you for taking a moment to review your sat at Peregrine.I am saddened to hear that elements of the property didn't live up to your expectations but you were still able to enjoy our fabulous positioning. • "Beautiful apartment."

Very clean. Everything you need is there apart from a corkscrew. Sofas are very expensive but had to keep plumping seats and backs as they flattened a lot. Very comfortable beds, top quality bedding, slept so well !! 23 steps indoors up to apartment which was a bit of a struggle with cases ect and parking is difficult if you have a larger car.

Dear Shelia, Thank you for reviewing your stay at Peregrine. I am delighted to hear you loved the apartment and slept well, it's always an important part of staying away from home! Apologies for the missing corkscrew, we will naturally get this rectified and hope to be able to welcome you again soon. Property Owner

  • "Peregrine apartment was in a great situation in Bowness."

It was spacious and very well equipped and the furnishings were of a very high quality. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the large bath in our bedroom. We could easily have lived in Peregrine and didn't want to leave. Although parking was a bit tight it is unusual to find a holiday property in the area which provides parking.

Dear Susan, We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your time with us at Peregrine and didn't want to leave! We are fortunate enough to have a wonderful location in the heart of Bowness with parking space. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our week in the Peregrine apartment."

The location was really convenient for the town centre and the lakeside. The quality of the facilities and decor was very high and the apartment was really spacious. One thing to note if thinking about booking is that the front bedroom is facing a busy road and can get quite noisy at night. In general the cleanliness was good, but we did notice that the fridge and freezer had not been cleaned, and also found a couple of items of clothing from previous occupants hiding in the drawers of the bedroom. However, i would still recommend the apartment, and would happily hire it out again.

  • "It’s a lovely property in a brilliant location and very well resourced."

We thought it was cleaned really well and to a high standard apart from the shower which has long standing build up of dirt around the shower doors. As everything else was so clean this really stood out. Also, not sure if you’re aware but there is damp in the top corner of the main bedroom - and lots of damp in the same area in the stairwell. All that aside - a lovely property and I’d go back again. Thanks

Sofas in lounge tired and well worn would benefit from renewing .

It’s close to all amenities, luxury oozes out everywhere, from the pillows to the sound system. Parking was a real bonus - you could literally arrive and never drive again for the whole week. Little touches like the coffee/tea pack and cleaning pack just topped off the amazing accommodation. Highly recommend.

  • "Property was generally very good, but is advertised as having internet access whereas in practice internet connectivity was very poor."

Wireless internet infrastructure appears to be poorly set-up at the property. Owner tried to provide alternate network for us to use but unfortunately this didn't work either so we gave up. Property was fine otherwise but we are unlikely to book any of the properties at Stonecliffe again due to the internet connectivity issue.
