  • "This is an amazing place to stay for a few days."

Accommodation is very comfortable, and really is as beautiful as it looks in the photos!!! Location is great too, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants etc, also the lake, lake cruises etc. Kitchen seemed very well equipped, although we mostly ate out so didn't make much use of it. Only 2 small things - there were no kitchen scissors which seemed odd. And there is no TV in the bedroom despite it being listed. I think this was mentioned in other reviews. But other than these - perfect!!

  • "Stunning apartment."

Outstanding location. Very last minute booking for us and everything went so smoothly. 100% will be returning. The weather was atrocious over the bank holiday weekend so spent more time inside than we usually would.Skylark more than made up for the constant downpours outside. It has been mentioned before but the lack of a freezer or even a freezer compartment was a bit of an issue.

Great location, accessible to many other villages. The space was huge and more than comfortable for two. Lovely decor in the living and bedroom which made the stay so cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Will definitely return.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stat, and the decor. We hope to welcome you back to the Lake District again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "Arrived yesterday and we are delighted with our apartment."

It is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Couple of issues I need to mention though. Your website page and guest information book for Skylark mention a TV in the bedroom and a Bose speaker in the living room (there is a Bose remote control!) neither of which are present, it's not a problem but I think your website and the guest information book need updated.

  • "Beautiful apartment with quality fittings and fixtures and is a credit to the owners."

This is the third time in the last 9 months that we have stayed here and will stay again. However, the housekeeping on this occasion has slipped. I dropped my ring under the bed and found an empty juice bottle some previous guests had thrown underneath it. When I went to put some clothes in the bedroom drawer someone had left a leg waxing kit that hadn't been removed by housekeeping. Also it was obvious that it hadn't been vacuumed on the carpeted areas very well. I reiterate this is a beautiful apartment that we plan to return to but please get the housekeeping back to a good standard. I don't want the negative feedback of this review published as to put off other people booking it but want to be honest so as to hopefully rectify.

  • "Thank you for such an exceptional stay."

Only issue was the amount of dust on the fake plants and the tap for the bath was wobblier than jelly no matter how careful we were with it. Other than these minor inconveniences, the stay was perfect. The bed was incredible and the tv in the living room had everything you needed. Kitchen was clean and easy to use. Fully reccomend this holiday apartment!

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay. We will ask our Housekeeping Teams to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. We hope to welcome you again. The Lakelovers Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "We were really impressed by everything - location, layout, fittings, cleanliness."

Just needed some scissors in the kitchen drawer. Also, we couldn't find the switch for the lamps above the kitchen table! (Not a problem for our visit in late June, but might be frustrating later in the year). Other than these small quibbles, the apartment couldn't really be improved upon. Highly recommended.

  • "We love this apartment so much, we stayed in December last year and had already booked for this stay in March and again for July."

It is conveniently located for shops bars and restaurants but also with almost direct access onto the fells. We never use the car when we stay here and go walking every day. Another plus is you can park right at the door. All of the furnishings are stylish & good quality. The bathroom is spacious, modern and very well fitted out as is the kitchen, the only downside is there isn't a freezer or freezer compartment in the fridge. I only need it for ice for the G&T's

Dear Jan,   Thank you for your wonderful comments. I am delighted to hear you love the apartment and booked to come back!   We take on board your comments for an icebox for those all important G&Ts and will consider it when the fridge needs replacing.   Look forward to welcoming you soon.
