  • "Great spot for chilling out with peace and quiet."

  • "Gorgeous apartment with everything you need for a relaxing break."

Apartment was clean and well maintained. Key safe and pre arrival instructions were great for no hassle.arrival. Hamper and toiletries were a delight. All the utensills, cutlery and crockery anyone might need. Plently of living room seating with recliners. Stunning sea views from the windows. Apartment was very warm, a little too warm at night but nice to not need any heating even though heaters in every room if needed but we never did even when the weather turned bad. Sea facing room a little difficult to sleep in when the weather was very windy but the park facing room was very quiet. Lots of wonderful walks on the doorstep. Everyone was very friendly and the caravan park was clean and well maintained. Shop on site. Stunning views looking out to the sea, especially when the weather was sunny. Cannot fault this place at all, perfect relaxing retreat.

  • "We had a fantastic break at Shorefields 2 - the welcome pack was amazing."

The apartment is very well appointed (fantastic shower!) with good sized bedrooms & excellent lounge cum kitchen. Just mind your head if you're tall like me! Only downside, the beds are a bit small if you're big or tall. On the plus side this place is so quiet, even with the shop downstairs. Shorefields is just ten yards from the wilds of Morecambe Bay. This isn't a place to enjoy sitting on the beach, this place is a wilderness of salt marshes and big skies, great for walkers and dog owners. The walk along the shore to Sunderland Point is a wonderful surprise, there's so much history to experience and wildlife to enjoy here.

  • "What can i say about this amazing little hidden gem, we were blown away by the fantastic little welcome basket the place was spotless and was welcoming from the start."

Yes, even after reading the feedback left by others i kept banging my head off the low ceilings but i had to keep going to the windows and opening them up so i could enjoy the amazing views! I must admit, trying to relax on the first night and all we could hear was loud talking and laughter from the beer garden, i thought to myself "oh god no, i hope this doesn't go on to long" and less than an hour it was all quiet, so thank you to the residents and the pwners for being so thoughtful. We are all smokers so spent a lot of time downstairs out the front and not one person walked past without smiling and giving us a greeting,. The dogs loved the shoreline, even if it did result in us having to wash the famous "Morecombe mud" off them, when the tide came in, it was scary just how fast it would come and how it seemed to sneak around behind you and when the tide was out, it looked like you could walk to Blackpool! Would i recommend shorefields, i already have, i was letting dog owning friends know about this diamond of a place before we had even finished our holiday!

  • "Unfortunately the holiday coincided with one of the worst spells of weather I can ever remember."

The beach was inaccessible and and the coast line was barely visible due to the mist and storm conditions. I came to the conclusion that this made for an enforced rest and not even a brisk walk was an option in the strong winds. Good therefore to have a comfortable warm and well-equipped place in which to stay. I am sure it would be lovely in the Summer...

WiFi a little weak at times but we were made aware of this. Literally 15 minute drive to Morecombe and Lancaster for eating out etc. Recommend Willamson Park in Lancaster for some great views of the bay. My partner took the horses as there was a nice field to keep them in just a few hundred meters away and enjoyed a few runs down the beach in the morning. Also dog friendly. Tv in bedroom and living room although I Recommend taking your own dvd player and hdmi lead as I did to watch a movie if you plan an evening in. Very friendly people on site and the owners were very accommodating. Watch out for the rabbits on site too. Thank you We definitely recommend a visit Andrew, Kerry, Ella and nan Barbara

The apartment had a fabulous outlook to the sea. You had everything you needed for a super holiday. Wi-Fi was a little disappointing being the furthest from the hub. The bed (site side) was comfortable, the rooms were spacious, airy and clean. We had no issues with the shared access. Nice touch with towels for dirty paws. The Welcome Tray was superb and gratefully received. The downside for us were the angled ceilings and the bumps on the head despite repeatedly saying out loud "mind your head" especially when washing up or prepping food. Due to the heat we couldn't go out for too long with the dogs and yes there was noise from downstairs whether doors slamming or the residents meeting place in the shop garden - but it didn't spoil our time there the conversation added to the atmosphere. A really lovely site, the cows who graze on the marsh are great to see. The ferry across to Isle of Man became a feature, so did the Sunday air show of microlites, jet and other aircraft.

  • "The actual place of the apartment is not in Morecambe or Heysham but in Middleton which is approximately 14 minutes outside the middle of Morecambe."

It is also on a caravan park. This however doesn't ruin anything about the stay the actual location is perfect for dog walking. The welcome hamper is AMAZING never had anything like it before. Don't be put off by there only being skylights as Windows as the views are out of this world. Can see Blackpool tower all out up across the water. The apartment was clean and tidy and felt like a home away from home. There was only one thing that was a minor niggle and that's there are 2 apartments together and you both Share the same entrance and of course exit, so if one or other is an early riser or a late returner you are very conscious of the fact you could be disrupting your neighbours especially if you have a dog that's inclined to bark!

  • "We felt the photo of the apartment was misleading as the shot is of the side and there is no indication of this being above a shop."

It was very noisy at the weekend as tables at the back of the shop were used to party. Apartment 2 had no windows overlooking the view of the sea and the sloping roof with skylights meant the roof was very low. This meant we banged our heads as there was little space, for instance at the end of the bed! The shower didn't work fully- only the hand held shower working. The place was not deep cleaned and surfaces were dirty- small tables, table with television. I am afraid the hamper didn't make up for the facilities. This is one we won't be visiting again
