  • "A well equipped lodge."

The bathrooms are a quite small but well provided with shelves and nooks for storage. It is good that the heating can be set by the visitor to suit their own needs with the quick spurt of heat provided by the electric fire. We were disconcerted when the water went off but the owner quickly arranged for the on site plumber to visit - nothing to do with this property, the builders on the adjacent site had turned off the supply! Otherwise a good week. Steve

Pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Yes, the colder weather had suddenly arrived but the Lodge soon warms up. The water issue did get resolved, just pity it was the week you were on site. Hopefully, we may see you again in the near future. Property Owner

  • "This is our 2nd visit this year and can’t recommend this lodge enough."

Luxurious lodge with all mod-cons including an air fryer and slow cooker. Welcome pack on arrival which lasted us throughout our visit, love the doggy treats as well. Lodge is spotlessly clean. Brought my Mum on holiday with us and she loved it - she said it is the best holiday accommodation she has stayed in. Will definitely be returning again next year.

Having just had the Lodge now for two years it is lovely to see so many repeat bookings and such generous worded reviews. I am so pleased you find the accommodation perfect and you are able to have a comfortable, relaxing holiday. Look forward to you all returning again next year. Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in more expensive cottages with less amenities than this Lodge."

It was extremely warm and comfortable and fitted out to a very high standard. My only recommendation if at all possible would be to fence across to the opposite Lodge front and rear so that your dog could be let into the grassed area without fear of them wandering off. My only complaint from our stay is the tree at the rear needs to have the branches trimmed off. The Sunday night of our holiday was extremely windy and the branches although only small were very loud on the roof top, so much so that it sounded as if the decking furniture was being moved about.

Thank you for thinking so highly of the Lodge and everything provided within. I have addressed the willow tree with Pure Leisure, that it is now well overgrown, and they have assured me it will be dealt with asap Property Owner

  • "Had an amazing time the lodge was beautiful, very cosy and clean!"

only thing i would recommend is that if you want to visit the lake district you need to either drive or stay closer in the lake district

It’s always nice to receive 100 per cent for the Lodge, I always aim to make it welcoming, comfortable, spacious and refreshed. Yes, it is advisable to have means to get around, many of the tourist spots are only a 20 min drive….but limited if you don’t have a vehicle. Hope we may see you again, it’s always appreciated when the Lodge is left clean and tidy, thank you. Property Owner

Good, precise instructions given by Jane before arrival. Nice touch with the welcome pack provided. Had a really nice week (it helps when there is a mini heatwave!). Would happily return to this lodge in the future.

They really thought about everything. They also left us some foodie goodies. The beds were so comfortable, the decor and the overall feel of the place was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay for my 30th and the doggies loved it here too.

Thank you for the positive feedback and that you all enjoyed your stay. As I knew I was unable to get to Lodge before nightfall I had specifically asked that all doors were locked and all lights switched off, so was surprised to see lights on outside and then to find the left hand side patio front door wide open, blowing in the wind. • "Lodge was fantastic, very comfortable."

Little touches like how the towels were left arranged, welcome basket, air fryer and the Denby china made the accommodation luxurious. Loved the fact that there were books to read and games to play. Was lovely sitting out on the deck with the plant pots and the fairy lights at night. Felt spoiled having the use of a washing machine, air fryer and dishwasher. Will definitely return.

I shall look forward to your return too. You left the Lodge spotless and so pleased you found the accommodation so comfortable. Have just added the air fryer and including a TV in the double bedroom this autumn. I’m always grateful when the guests water the planters…..when the sun shines Property Owner

  • "Prior to arrival we where informed on access to the lodge by Jane who was very helpful."

Upon arrival the lodge was spotless and very well decorated with everything required for a great week away, there was also a welcome package with treats which where much appreciated. There was a guest book which was helpful and lots of books and games to use. It was a great location and we had some lovely days out on, Morecambe is a short 20 minute drive away and lake Windermere was only a 32 minute drive. The bar and restaurant were just a short walk away overlooking a large lake which was perfect to walk around with the dog and stop off for a drink, the food was lovely and definitely recommended. There were also spa, pool and gym facilities that where accessible to people staying at Yealands. Carnforth was a 5 minute drive where there was a Tesco and an Aldis for any essentials if staying In and cooking. I would highly recommend this lodge and hope to return again soon in the near future. Thanks Again Jane for been a great host.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I recently added the books and games, which seem to be popular, especially during the dark winter nights. The 5 star leisure facilities are excellent and only a good 5 mins walk and available for guests though there are charges, detailed in my guest information book. So pleased you had a comfortable, enjoyable holiday. I look forward to your return in the near future. Kind regards Jane. Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely holiday at No 7 Yealands."

The lodge was spotless and well stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There was a lovely welcome hamper which was really appreciated by our two children full of lots of treats. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were very fluffy and big which makes a change from some holiday cottages that we have stayed in previously. There was lots of outside seating which sadly we did not use as it was too wet. The lodge was well placed five minutes away from the Motorway so easy to get to the Lakes in the north and to Lancaster, in the south. The owner responded quickly to an enquiry about the heating controls. We will definitely go back to the Lodge for another holiday.

Thank you for such a lovely, kind review. I have just started travelling more to the Lodge on a regular basis and adding a few extras which seem to be appreciated by the guests. Yes, I have now added super big bath sheets with matching hand towels and colour coordinating the bedrooms. I am thrilled you enjoyed your stay and have booked to come again in the New Year, maybe the weather will be kinder and you get to sit out Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic stay at No 7 Yealands."

The lodge was spotless - almost looked brand new, and very well stocked - the only thing missing was a hairdryer and perhaps a few board games. The beds and sofas were comfortable, the gate on the deck meant it was secure for dogs (and children) and there was no hint of previous doggie companions. We used the lodge as a base to access the Lake District, which was a short drive away, but there was also plenty of attractions close by. The only real hiccup was that we received no gate code for the site and the key fob which was supposed to be supplied was missing, but this was quickly fixed with a call to the Sykes team. The site was beautiful and tranquil, however would have liked a little more info on the opening times of the onsite restaurant as we discover that they shut Monday and Tuesdays and most of the Carnforth pubs/restaurants were also closed during the week, but perhaps this was due to it being slightly out of season. We would definitely stay at the lodge again soon.

The lodge was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The lodge has two showers which are nice and powerful. The site was nice and quiet and clean. The only noise was the road behind the lodge but nothing intrusive, never disturbed our sleep. The lakeside site across the road was just a stroll away and was nice for a drink and a meal at the end of a day . We would stay again if visiting the area.

The enclosed decking is brilliant for little two legs and four legs :) safe and secure. I only have two minor points one been the hoover, it doesn't pick up at all, luckily after reading the feedbacks we brought our own, and I would recommend a collapsible clothes airer as there is nowhere to hang wet outdoor clothes to dry off, other than that we had a lovely stay and would recommend & Yealands

Thank you so much for sending some feedback and so pleased you had enjoyable stay. The hoover did get an overhaul but I will purchase a new one for next time I am in the area. There is a clothes airer in the Lodge but not always sure where previous guests leave it, under a bed, on top of wardrobe in double bedroom…so not always easy to find. Do hope we will see you again and that you can recommend 7 Yealands to your friends. Property Owner

would have been nice to had a proper brush instead of little hand brush. nothing on site had to go out in car everytime we needed anything the main site had a restaurant and bar where we had a couple of meals.then found a nice place the Canal Turn and another one just up the road which was nice.loved the area and the lodge just surprised there was nothing on site. We would like to thank the owner for our stay.

Pleased you all had lovely holiday. Have noted your comments and will make these additions when I’m next at Lodge. There are the gym and swimming facilities next to the restaurant which guests can use for a minimal charge. Longlands, which is a pleasant walk, offers snacks, meals, drinks, coffee and cake and opposite is Greenland’s Farm Village with local crafts and fresh produce, and of course the play area and animals, for visitors with children. Thank you for your comments, always appreciated. The layout of the inside of the Lodge has been designed to utilise maximum area yet still feels so spacious. The whole of the decking on our Lodge covers such a large area, with two seating areas, and plenty of room for one or two dogs.
